I think it is done quickly, but don't know for sure as the link between them does not ever state that it's done. I finally have to kill the iTunes to gain control of the iPod. This doesn't seem right. Any suggestions????

I am having problems with my music collection, after burning all of my music to the computer I organized it into folders and placed it in the iTunes Folder. As of now i realize this was a mistake. Starting on a new computer now. I cant get my music to transfer from the itunes folder on the old computer? I keep getting error "Can't Read from the source file or disk." Whenever I got to folder properties its always checked read only. But when i play the song it works just fine. Im sure this is just because I added music into itunes folder but is there anyway to fix it?

WMA files are 'window media audio' files, which is a Microsoft format. If you want to add them to your iTunes library on your Mac then you will need to convert them into a compatible format first. If you still have your windows machine then iTunes for Windows can convert them from WMA to MP3 format : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24158701#24158701
Or try a search for, for example, 'convert wma to mp3' to find programs to convert them.

  • I am still having problems with my music videos freezing (all purchased from iTunes) since the update.  Have restarted, rebooted etc. and it is worse than before.  Help!  Spent a lot of money on these and they won't play properly.

I am still having problems with my music videos freezing (all purchased on iTunes) since the update.  The first day of the update, no problems...played 6 hours of music videos and no freezing.  Today...every single video froze!!! So frustrating!  I rebooted, restarted, powered down and no help.   I would appreciate any suggestions.  Thanks.

I don't know how to do this without using a mouse point.
    This may help, http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000542.htm
As for question #2, you call tell how iTunes is sorting songs by the up or down arrow next to a header name.
Even the original order that the songs were entered or date added or last played can be sorted.
Much easier with a mouse or touch pad.

  • Having problems with my music player on my iPad with the new io7

Downloaded the new io7 on my iPad mini. Now I have problems with the music player not letting me download songs onto my iPad, then closing out the app. Then on iTunes it shows up in the downloads tab and comes up as an error and still won't download. At this point I'd rather have the old io6. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Did you install the latest driver set for the device?  there is a new release on motu.com for mavericks.

  • Having problems with 4th generation iPod Nano. Desperate.

I'm having this problem with my 4th generation iPod Nano. Whenever the iPod is connected to iTunes I get message saying "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod “IPOD”. Go to the Summary tab in iPod preferences and click Restore to restore this iPod to factory settings." However, I have music on the iPod that is purchased through different accounts on different computers (some of which are no longer existent) meaning I can't afford to restore and lose my music. Is there any way I can recover my music without having to restore the iPod?

    sorry, 5th gen. 30gb w video

  • Problems with loading music on ITouch

I have tried searching this forum but all the problems have to do with Itunes not recognising IPT.
I just got a brand new Wk 39 IPT, charging was no problem, even itunes recognised the Ipod (the little IPT icon appeared on the left side of Itunes). After loading music on to Itunes and trying to sync, nothing happened. i tried everything from restarting to opening itunes again but music was not loaded onto my Itouch. the only message i got was that "songs were not encoded properly"...mind these are MP3 files. However when i drag and drop music directly to the IPT icon on Itunes music is loaded!
what could i be doing wrong? im using a Windows XP Toshiba satellite Pro. please help.

Was iTunes unable to convert the song or did it convert it and then the Touch couldn't play it? If iTunes could not convert it, that would lead me to believe that it is something in the way the songs are encoded that are stopping it from playing.
Could you purchase one song off of iTunes and see if that will play on the Touch? Or, import a CD using iTunes and then see if those will play on the Touch?

  • Still having problems with loading cs6 onto new computer. adobe won't contact me?

I have posted this before and I did what was suggested, but have not had any luck with adobe support.
Problem: Mac laptop died. I have cs3 and upgrade to cs6 on the laptop, backed up to external hard drive. i'm trying to install now onto my new computer, but can't load it from the external hard drive, so downloaded cs6 upgrade from adobe from my products. i know i purchased and downloaded cs3 from adobe website, but it doesn't show up on my page. so when i download cs6 and it asks for my serial number, i put it in, but then it won't unlock the software because it's not detecting any other software (cs3) on my new computer. i was told that i had to contact adobe tech support, which i have done multiple times, but have not gotten any response back.
    any suggestions?

    Oh that's awesome!
Yeah, I have done similar things, that's why it came to mind lol
You're welcome, even though I wasn't a whole lot of help on this issue...
Have a great evening and feel free to return to the forums if you need any other assistance.

  • Having problems with moving music to my iPhone

Recently, my iPhone music library hasn't been updating; when I move songs to the iPhone, they show up in the music section of the iPhone from iTunes and when searching from the iPhone search bar, but they don't actually appear in the artists section of the iPhone. Another problem I'm having is that the iPhone doesn't update artist info, even though all of the info appears correctly from iTunes on the PC (both from the library and from the music section of the iPhone).
I have tried restarting the iPhone, restarting iTunes, deleting and putting back the songs, and renaming the songs on the iPhone, and the 'Sync Music' thing (I was originally moving music manually and didn't have this problem) and none of those fixed the problem..
If it helps, the music I'm trying to move is from a CD, and the artist I'm trying to rename was bought through iTunes on the iPhone.

If some songs and/or albums from and artist aren't listed under the artist in the artist view on your phone this usually means that the tag for these songs don't list the artist as also being the Album Artist.  This can be resolved either by editing the tag for these songs in iTunes so the artist is listed as the Album Artist and syncing your phone, or by going to Settings>Music on your phone and turning Group By Album Artist to Off.

  • Problem with loading music, iPod isn't...

Whenever I plug my IPod into my PC and try to add songs into it, my computer tells me that "the [iPod] file cannot be found". I have an 80G, I'veowned it since Xmas(06), the iPod in question has three thousand songs on it, if means anything....
    Thanks in advance, Bluu

    I'm having a similar problem... 80GB video
I've had to restore it 3 times now, when iTunes tells me that the files cannot be accessed; "iTunes cannot read the contents of the ipod. Go to the summary tab in ipod preferences and click restore to restore this ipod to factory settings."
Each time I load songs onto it though, iTunes stops, halfway, quarter way etc. I can disconnect at this point, and listen to the songs it has put on, but when I reconnect it, it will sync for a while, stop again and then no songs will appear in the iPod list.

  • Having Problems with loading a ReportDocument

Hello all. I've developed an ASP.NET 2.0 application in C#. As per documentation I've previously, my app loads a report based on a file path string. It then sets the logon credentials. When the user views the report, the report sets the necessary parameters accordingly and the ReportViewer sets the ReportDocument object as its datasource.
The problem I'm having is that the ReportDocument.Load() method seems to take considerably longer than the other functions involved in generating the report. This function takes roughy 20-35 seconds to execute and consequently degrades the performance of the web app. Is there anything that can be done to speed up this method? If not, are there any other methods of generating a report to display in the ReportViewer? I tried using the ReportSource control and it was very unstable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello Mark:
You are seeing a "normal" behavior, if this is the case on the load of a first report. Subsequent reports should be significantly faster. Only way to make the first load appear faster is to load the CR assemblies and dlls on app start. E.g.; load a fake report on app start. Unfortunately, those 20+ seconds will now move to the initialization / load of the app...

BTW., downloading the latest Service packs is never a bad idea and may help a bit, but not 10+ seconds for sure.

  • What's wrong? Having problems with a 4th gen nano.

My 4th gen nano's clock is frozen and trying to change the time causes the screen to freeze. Resetting it brings it "back to normal", but the clock's still frozen. The lock hardly works, and the iPod starts playing music randomly. It is not recognized by iTunes or Finder; iTunes seems to eject it before recognizing it or saying it's plugged in. The following error message says that it should be ejected properly and that iTunes/Finder will try to restore it the next time it's connected.
None of the solutions in the Help Center fixed it and the screen's now frozen at "Connected."
Other than that, it's working perfectly fine...

Update: I just put it into Disk Mode, and then it finally showed up in both iTunes and Finder. When I then tried to restore it, error message 1429 popped up. (The iPod then disappeared from both iTunes and Finder.) Following Apple's resolution, I'm supposed to eject it from iTunes, but how am I supposed to do that when it's not showing? The screen says "Do not disconnect."

Are u using KDE? try switching to gnome. I hit this problem after updating to the lastest kdelibs but switching to gnome work fine for me. Remember not to create the database during installation, apply the oracle patch, then everything will be OK.

  • Im having problems with loading Google Maps, it takes a while to load up. This has only started doing this recently.I changed to Mozilla from IE Exporer as that was useless.

Mozilla runs fine with other web sites but when I use Google Maps it struggles to load up maps. Looks like there is a constant exchange between Google and Mozilla which is slowing up the loading. This has only been happening about 3 weeks ago, it was perfect before that so maybe it could be the Mozilla update that I accepted.

try replacing the sim card after that it needs to be replaced and since you had some one else open up the phone you would lose the out of warranty replacement price and have to buy a new one at the full retail value
