Having problem with updating to ios 6.1.2

Hi guys,
I am using the iPad 2 with ios 5.1.1. I want to update it to 6.1.2 but here is my problem
I have download the ios 6.1.2 but i cannot verified the update

Can you try updating through iTunes instead?  Sometimes that helps "stuck" updates.

Ensure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.
Connect your device to your computer using the included USB cable.
After iTunes opens, select your device when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
Click "Check for Update" in the Summary pane to check for available updates.
If an update is available, iTunes prompts you to download and install the update. Do not disconnect your device until the update has finished.

Having issues with update to iOS 8, wheel keeps spinning with 9 hrs remaining to complete update. What are my options?
    <Re-Titled By Host>

I am a windows/mac user... And I was  Linux user for several years...  And so far I have been really happy with apple but this problem is frustrating.
    I don't understand:
1)Why can't I go back to iOS7 since this was apparently the most stable version for my iPad ?
    2) Why is apple not doing anything about it,  ?
    3) If the problem is that my iPad's can't fully support the features of iOS8, why on earth have they made it available to iPad 2?
Any way, I will just wait a bit longer and probably start looking in to a Samsung tablet or something....
    Cheers,

You need to find a store selling it and purchase it. If you buy it from an online store, it comes in the form of a DVD shipped to you.
Unless Apple or someone with a site license applicable to you says otherwise, you can't download it.

  • I am having problems with Dropbox on IOS 7.

I am having a problem with Dropbox on IOS 7 iPhone.  I keep getting, "Go to iTunes to use push notifications.  I try to do this, but nothing happens.  I screen on my phone just freezes, and I have to turn it off and then on again.

    Hello Jeff,
I used regedit to search for the registry key referenced in solution 2
and it was not present in my registry.  I uninstalled yesterday's CS2
installation.  I also uninstalled Photoshop 7.0 just in case that was
causing the problem and did a full reinstall of CS2 in accordance with
your directions.  Today's results are no different from yesterday's.
Photoshop refuses to let me in, not even asking for a serial number,
ImageReady will not permit use, Illustrator allows me in but only after
postponing the registration process.  The only difference is that this
time I was able to locate InDesign, which asked for a serial number and
rejected as invalid the one given at the download site.
Next, I am going to uninstall CS2 again and try installing the
individual applications one at a time from the download site, using the
serial numbers associated with them.  I may also look in the registry
again after the uninstall of CS2 to see if there are any lingering Abode
application remnants hanging around (although I am really fearful of
    doing anything with the registry).

    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
     Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.

  • Problem with updating to iOS 4.3.4/4.3.5

    Hello Folks,
I am new to this community! I have a strange issue with my iphone' iOS upgrade which is bothering me since couple of months. I have been getting an alert that a new iOS is available to upgrade whenever I am connecting my iPhone to iTunes. However, after clicking Download & update, it is taking **** lot of time to download and at the end of download it is showing an error msg (There is network connection problem. check your internet blah blah). Not exactly the same. But strangely, this error shows up at the end of the download everytime. I have tried downloading the new iOS update 100 times already but it is same case. Couldn't update.
Any of you guys faced such problem? What could be the reason? Now there is a new iOS (4.3.5) release and I still can't upgrade my iOS. Please help me guys.
    cheers,
    Lord

    Hello everyone,
I am new to this community and discussion.however i have been reading the questions about various glitches faced by other users for quite sometime now. Many of the answers given by other users are extremely helpful, even when some of the suggested methods are unique and equally baffling !!
Now,coming to your problem sir. I had faced the same trouble when updating from 4.3.2 to 4.3.3. It became very frustrating as it always use to occur within the last 15 seconds of the download where the file was just about to be processed.Thankfully,i did find an answer from another user. it seemed a strange method but worked perfectly well for me,as it did for the user who suggested it.
    The suggested method :-
1.Before beginning the update, put ur phone in airplane mode.(AIRPLANE MODE ON)
    2.Lock the screen.
    3.Start the update.
4.Keep a check on the update, particularly during the last 5 mins.
5.MOST Imp:- When the itunes window shows ' Remaining time less than 1 minute' be ready with the phone in your hand.
6.When remaining time is between 15 seconds to 10 seconds, UNLOCK the Screen.Do nothing more.
The file will be completely processed and your update will commence.
P.S. I did not need to disable firewall or pause kaspersky protection. Neither did the user who suggested this method in the first place.

  • Is anyone else having problems with zoom in ios 8?

I just installed ios 8 on my iPhone 5, and honestly, I am not thrilled with the
results. I am visually impaired and rely heavily on the zoom feature. The
reaction time to the three-finger tap in ios 8 now seems sluggish, swiping
around to move the view feels like pulling my fingers through mud, and the
image doesn’t move as smoothly as before. Previously, I could swipe with three fingers
to move my view, and after I lifted my fingers, it would glide smoothly, coming
to a gentle stop after a moment, in a similar way as swiping to scroll works in
contact lists and long messages. This meant I could read something while it
moved, without my fingers in the way.
Now the image moves much more quickly and then comes to a sudden halt
after a second, as if it hit a wall. I have to keep putting my fingers down,
almost clawing at my screen to move it around. It is extremely frustrating.
Honestly, it now feels like the zoom feature in recent Android phones. It’s a
very subtle difference, and it/s a little better when “ follow focus” is off.

I have problems with many of the same issues you mention with zoom on iOS8.  Its not entirely clear if this is intended functionality or a number of bugs.  The setting for full screen view versus window/regional view seems to not apply globally, which is insanely frustrating.  Window view pops up without warning, particularly in a keyboard pop-up event.
I don't particularly liek the popup menu either, but now I HAVE to use it to constantly change from the sudden change to window focus to full screen zoom.
Some of the new filter features are nice additions, but don't seem to work well. or be performance optimized.  Low-light, for example, stutters on zooming.
I would also assert that zooming in and out seems more abrubpt and less accurate.
iOS8 is definitely a decrease in usability and performance from its predecessors.  Apple, please work out the bugs and get this right!

  • HT4623 Problem with updating to iOS 6

Whikle updating to iOS 6 yesterday, phone blocks completly , shows Apple logo and every 10 secs a little tone comes. Have done reset and backup with iCloud and does not work.

That Error Code is indicative of the Device being jailbroken / Hacked...
    Sorry... But...

You will need to look elsewhere.

  • Problem with updating to iOS 4.2

I'm trying to update my iPad and iPhone 4 to iOS 4.2 but iTunes (10.1) keeps telling me that the server is temporarily unavailable and I have to check my network settings. My network is fine everything is working? Will this go away after a while or should I do something about it?
    Please hep ASAP!!

This happened to me today. Could be anything really. I simply put it down to the software update servers being hit hard, probably due to high demand for this popular iOS.
If your still having these issues start basic troubleshooting. Reboot your internet gateway. WiFi network, check firewall / filter settings for any changes.
I eventually got all my devices update with 4.2.1!

  • Has Anyone experienced a problem with trying to install a new app or reload a purchased app? After I had upgraded my ipad to 6.01 started having problems with updating my apps. Kept getting unable to Purchase. Please try again later.

    Any Help would be appreciated.

    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • Problems with update to iOS 5.1.1

My iPhone is still on iOS 4.2.1 and whenever I try to update to ios5.1.1 it tells me firmware not compatible. I did every step in the support section, no success.

Which version of the iPhone do you have? What version of iTunes do you have? If you do not have the latest version of iTunes, that can generate that error. If you do not have an iPhone 3GS or higher, it is not compatible with iOS 5.1.1. If you have the newer iPhone, upgrade iTunes.

  • HT204266 Anyone else having problem with updates?  My apps won't update and can't download any new apps.

My phone won't update the apps or let me download any new ones. Been going on for few days now.

Many developers are releasing updates today because tomorrow Apple is shutting down iTunes Connect (the developer backend to iTunes) for the holidays. This could be affecting things, but I doubt it.
You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears. Try again to see if the problem persists.
