Having problems editing

I'm using Illustrator CS2 on a Mac with OS X V 10.3.9
I have created a multi-layered AI file and have used the 'save as' command to make PDFs. I then went back to the original AI file and it wasn't editable. Other people on other forums have suggested trying Object > Clipping Mask > Release or selecting the graphic and bringing it to the front to restore editability. This hasn't worked (I can't select the graphic). I'd be REALLY grateful for any suggestions (deadlines looming!!)

Thanks so much for your reply.
I've had some advice from another Illustrator expert who recommended I
delete my prefs.
This helped me select the graphics in one chunk so that I could paste
it into a new Illustrator file.
I could then select each component of my design independently to edit
it.
My little helper was mystified too, but this really did save the day.
It's a shame we never found out what went wrong though.
When I'm making my lo res PDFs for the client, I'm doing a 'save a
copy' to be on a slightly safer side!

As these are public forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support, I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post - it's not a good idea to post it unless you like spam email.
The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account - a rescue email address is not the same as an alternate/secondary email address, they are different addresses/settings on an account.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

Anyone having problems editing text on wiki pages in Workspace?

I have had some serious issues when editing text on new wiki pages in my new Beehive workspace. First when I tried creating bulleted lists (with several or more items), after publishing the lists the text would all get tossed to the bottom of the page after publishing. Then I gingerly recreated the bulleted lists by running all the text together, then pressing Enter at the start of teach list item. This worked with some effort. But then when I tried editing my lists to update the information, the cursor would inadvertently jump to another place in the page, select some text, then my next keystroke would delete it. Even then, once I recreated all the information on the page, when published some of the text did not show up in the published version (it was still there in the editor).
When I recreated the text and lists in Word files, then copied and pasted it into new wiki pages on workspace, the formatting transferred OK. But editing still creates problems. The Undo button will clearly cause problems, so I stopped using that, but I still am having serious editing issues. Any help appreciated.

I just started using the Wiki pages and what I need at the time are some sortable tables (only limited need for bullets at the time). I am having an incredibly frustrating time using the "advanced" tables. I use both the Rich Text Editor and Wiki Markup screens to do this. The interface is incredibly buggy! As you metioned, you can get things just so in the WYSIWYG editing tool and it is completely messed up when published. In my case just switching between Rich Text Editor and Wiki Markup (without doing anything) messes things up! And if you want sortable columns, you had better not make them links, as the columns sort on the invisible URLs...
I can only hope that the engine under the hood of this product is more reliable. I certainly expected more from Oracle...

After upgrading to Acrobat X Pro, having problems editing text

I just upgraded to Acrobat X Pro from Acrobat 8 Professional. I've opened a document (created in Acrobat 8) and when I try to edit the text, it all seems fine until I try to save it. Then the formatting goes awry. The spacing between paragraphs disappears and the document is one solid block, so to speak. I've tried various methods of text editing/saving but nothing seems to work. Any thoughts? Thanks.

While editing is allowed its just meant to correct a misspelling here or there. Not whole sentences. Another thing that can affect light editing of PDF with Acrobat on OSX.6.7.
On some applications bad fonts (use FontBook) to verify your fonts. Open Fontbook without any applications on (such as acrobat, Reader, Ms Office). select all fonts. in click on box that shows fonts. Randomly select a font. The hold command key(⌘) press A, that selects all fonts. Look for and use Verify Fonts. Any fonts that can not be verified, or repaired with a Font reair Program should be removed.
also while all fonts are selected, look for an use reconcile Fonts. This looks for Duplicate fonts. In some cases the same application would use one version one time andanother another time thus causing spacing problems. click on each one found and see which is duplicated. Disable the oldest version.
do this with all duplicate fonts found.
If the above corrects the problem, locate disabled fonts, User >Library >Fonts disabled and Main Library Fonts disabled remove to desktop Make archives and place archives in safe place( in case you need to swap fonts).
Next if you have X.6.7 Install this Patch: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1377. This corrects some font problems caused by the OSX.6.7 the update that affects Adobe Products, (such as Acrobat, Reader Indesign and others, As well as Microst Products for Mac)

I have LR2. On Adobe I updated to LR2.7 and since then having problems editing images in PS6.

I select image in LR2.7 to edit in PS6. It launches PS6 but image does not come through. It comes up with message "the file could not be edited because CS6 could not be launched" when in fact it has launched CS6 but not the image.
I have uninstalled LR2 a few times and reinstalled it and when I leave LR2 I can select image to edit in CS6 and it works okay but when I update on Adobe website to LR 2.7 it starts to play up and not work. What is the problem?
Can anyone help with this as I am starting to tear my hair out. Have had this problem for a couple of months now and cannot do my work.

I have Windows 8 not Windows 7.
I have brought down the UAC setting but it still does the same but I just answer yes and it opens CS6 Extended but not the image. The fact is that when I ask in LR to edit in CS6 it tells me it can't open CS6 but it does open CS6 but not the image. Even if I ask to "open as smart object in Photoshop" it does not do it.
No matter where I start Lightroom from it still does the same. I only used Bridge a couple of days ago for the first time so this problem has nothing to do with Bridge. When I select an image in Bridge it does bring it up in CS6 when I ask so this works fine.
In LR/Photo/Edit in, if I select "Edit in Photoshop.exe" it works - it takes the image and gives me the option of edit a copy with LR adjustments etc but if I go LR/Photo/Edit in "Adobe Photoshop CS6" it just opens up CS6 and not the image plus gives me the message "the file could not be edited because CS6 could not be launched" when it has launched. So should I just use "Edit in Photoshop.exe" or not - I don't fully understand all of this so maybe you could explain in lay terms.
As I said earlier, it has only recently happened, in the last couple of months. Before that I had no problems so I don't know where this problem came from. The only thing I can remember is one day I was playing around with the preferences and maybe I have done something with that in LR and CS6 but I don't know.
Hopefully this will answer back some of your questions but it has nothing to do with Bridge as per your views in the posts below.

Basically I have edited my signature before and had no issues but recently I have tried to edit and I have a greyed out box as in the picture. Nothing seems to work I just can't seem to choose a signature.

Having problems editing Quicktime Video

I am trying to cut a portion of video and Quicktime is getting greedy.
I have a 24 second portion that I want to remove. I use the markers to identify the section that I want to remove. I go to the Edit menu and click on Cut.
The section disappears along with another 14 seconds.
I used a number of different ways to tell it to remove the segment. I have tried this with the Delete command, The Delete key, and the Backspace key.
This worked yesterday so I know it can do it. Any ideas?

Any chance the file you're working with is MPEG-1 format?
QT Pro doesn't edit the format.
Use MPEG Streamclip (free) to first fix the timecode stamps and then edit the file.

Having problems editing a template I downloaded and changed in photoshop

Hello, I recently downloaded a template. I added an image to the background in photoshop and saved it for the web. When I open the image folder the image I added to the background was there and everything looked good. When I opened the index file in dreamweaver the image on the background that I added in photoshop is not showing up. I have no idea why because it clearly shows the image that I added in the image folder. I also added an image to the bottom of the template in dreamweaver. The image I added to the bottom of the template shows up in dreamweaver, but not on the web? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We don't need your PSD file. We believe you added an image there. What we need to see is your HTML page. Can you please post a URL to your test page? Without seeing your code it's nearly impossible to trouble shoot what may be missing.
In the meantime, here are some things to check:
Did you slice your template and export the image slices (jpg or png or gifs) to your local site folder in DW?
Did you insert the new image into your page using the insert menu/button?
Does the new image show up in Design View?
When you uploaded page to server, did you also upload the new image?

What is the frame rate of the project? At what frame rate was the media recorded? What frame size?
What are the audio settings?
What are the specs of the machine, in particular how much RAM, how is the hard drive connected, etc.?
If possible, post screenshots of the inspector for the project.
It could be related to the audio frequency?

What edition of LR 5? What edition of ACR does PSCS 6 contain. If they are not parallel (same edition number x in [5 or 8].x ), is LR making a tiff or psd rendition of the image?

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, explained here:

Is it original media? The first installation disk set i received from oracle had a bad disk 2. Once I received the new set, everything was fine. You may have bad media as well.

It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.
How large is your hard drive and how much hard drive space do you have left?

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
If using Wifi/Airport...
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...
