Having problems enabling flash in chrome

How do you get past the "This webpage is not available" when trying to enable flash in chrome?

Chrome has its own Flash Player ("PepperFlash") built in, and you enable it by typing "chrome://plugins" in the address bar, and checking the "enable" button from there. (I'd provide a screenshot, but I REFUSE to have Chrome on ANY machine I own) If you get "This webpage is not available" from THAT address, your Chrome is broken and you NEED to reinstall it.

  • I'm having problems with Flash Videos (Youtube and ESPN)

I have been having this problem for the last couple of days now and it is really annoying. Whenever I watch a flash video like on youtube or espn my computer freezes up and the audio will make a loud buzzing sound. I have attached a video with the post so you can see what happens. I don't have problems with anything else except this. I also get this error no matter what browser I use. I have system restored my PC as far as I can go, and I've ran a ton of scans and driver update checks and nothing seems to work.

merci a tous pour les nombreuses réponse. j'ai dû mal a les lire vue que je ne lit que le français. je vous remercié encore une fois amicalement. Blanchette 2.

In the dialog box for the Flash Button, in the link box, put
    the full
absolute path if an external page. Including the

    Hello,
The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a leter version installed.

Might be later ones around also... saw 11.3 I think.
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, contributor Texas Mac Man suggests the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the latest version:)
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.
You should also consider the Shockwave Player, which displays Web content that has been created by Adobe Director, much used for multimedia: For PPC Macs:  http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

  • Having problems running flash games

hello, I frequently play flash games on, what I consider to be, reputable websites; places like bored, 4v4, notdoppler, gamershood, and phyiscsgames24.
however some of these games do not work on my computer, they either; load, and I am unable to continue past a certain point (usually the title screen, or level select screen) because none of the button images respond to clicks); or they load an image, but there isn't anything that looks clickable in the flash; or they remain blank (or white) until I close them (~10 minutes after loading them). I've tried many of them in different browsers: Firefox (multiple versions), Google Chrome (multiple versions) and internet explorer (multiple versions) and if a game doesn't work in one of them it hasn't worked in the others either. as well as this problem has existed over multiple version updates of the player plugin. I've had this problem for years on Windows Vista Ultimate, and it's continuing in Windows 7 (same laptop, upgraded OS). I was successful in playing games on notdoppler on a different computer that ran old Internet explorer 6 and windows XP.
I talked with support on Notdoppler, and he said the games were working for him
how do I get these games to work for me, in all of my browsers?

  • I am having problems downloading Flash Player on a Mac

I am having problems downloading / updating Flash Player on a Mac.  Installer runs to 30 and freezes.

Hi, First since you have the 64bit Windows, you need to use the 32bit browser as Adobe does not support Flash Player
    for the 64bit.
Are you using any other browser?  Here are the instructions for Internet Explorer.
Download the Adobe Uninstaller to your Desktop: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Download the Installer and SAVE it to your Desktop:
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
Before you start you need to read over the Uninstall info and follow the Security settings, making sure no applications
are running that uses Flash. Anti-Virus/Spyware and Firewalls can interfere and so I would follow these steps after you
know how to disable these. Also you may benefit by reading this also:
http://go.adobe.com/kb/ts_tn_19166_en-us  You don't need to follow all of these, just be aware of what my apply to you.
    1. After the Uninstaller and Installer are on your Desktop, then disconnect from the Internet.
    2. Disable your Anti-Virus/Spyware and Firewall programs. (If you are using just the Windows Firewall, that is ok)
    3. Make sure all apps that use Flash are disabled and check the system tray for that also.
    4. Close All browsers and RUN the Uninstaller. When finished, Reboot(restart) your computer. When fully Rebooted, Reboot again( to clear out old files) When fully Rebooted,
    5. RUN the Installer and when finished, Reboot ONCE.
    6. Re enable your Anti-Virus/Spyware and Firewall and connect back to the Internet.
Go to this test site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
If you have any questions after reading or before you start, please ask.
    Thanks,

  • Is anyone else having problems running Flash Player on Mountain Lion?

After installing Flash Player on my MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion, my computer started crashing when I put it to sleep.  When I uninstalled Flash, I no longer had the problem.  Is anyone else having problems like this with Flash Player?  Is this an issue with Mountain Lion or Adobe?  Is there a fix for it, or am I just out of luck with the prospect of running Flash Player on my new Mac?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Help, we're having problems with Flash Player

    Hi.
Up until yesterday we had flash player and it was working normally.  Yesterday when we went onto IE8 we didn't have it any longer. Me and my mun tried downloading flash player for Windows XP on Internet Explorer again.  We untick the box saying to add a google toolbar which is optional. We click the download button at the bottom of the page and on the download page a blue box is meant to come up involving ActiveX.  The page comes up with the blue box but then the page goes off and a new page coming up with a cross in a red circle and next to it, it says "Internet Explorer has closed this webpage to help protect your computer" "A malfunctioning or malicious add-on has caused Internet Explorer to close this webpage.  Below this it comes up with a list of options:
    Go to your home page
    Try to return to Adobe.com
    More Information
We have tried clicking "Try to return to Adobe.com" many times and repeating the same process but the same thing still happens.
We don't know what to do as without Flash Player there is a limited number of things we can do. We have tried altering some of our settings but still no luck.  We are going round and round in circles.

Hello, Sorry you are having problems. I would like you to go to this Adobe test site with IE8. Can you see the animation and what version of Flash Player does it say you have?
If you use any other browser, test with it too.
Are you the Administrator and are you using that Account? It is necessary when Installing Flash Player.
After that you can download the Uninstall and SAVE it to your Desktop:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Then download and SAVE the Installer for Internet Explorer to your Desktop:
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
For now  just put these on your Desktop and then to the test above and let me know.
Also What Anti-Virus do you have?
    Thanks,
    eidnolb

  • Since upgrade to FF13: having problems with flash content, especially videos when scrolling/multi tasking--freezing the video and sound for 1-2 sec. Any advice?

At first, the same night I decided to update--things were fine but after using the browser hours later a second time: some flash scripts would simply not respond and freeze the tab the content is on or like in my question, constantly stutter. The problem for flash videos only seem to occur when I scroll onto links or when moving up/down a page. I encountered similar problem with FF7--like that time, I installed/uninstalled the flash player and even resetted firefox but to no avail--the problem persisted. It is also present while in safe mode. P.s. such problem is seemingly not present in other browsers which brought me to ask this question for assistance.

I have the same issue. When I scroll past embedded videos, such as YouTube videos, they are torn or disrupted. The video may shrink in size when I scroll, etc. Issues only arise when scrolling past the video. When playing, no issues.
I've tried the following that did not help:
    Safe mode
    Video driver up to date
    Flash completely up to date
    All plugins up to date.
Only started happening when I updated to FF13.

  • I have been having problems with flash opening the Weight Watcher Plan Manager.

SInce the flash update on July 26th I have not been able to open the plan manager in Weight Watchers. I have uninstalled flash and reinstalled it a number of times.  I even reinstalled an older version and it does not help.  I have already done a clean install, deleted cookies, history and the cache.  I have contacted WW and they are no help.  I usually use Firefox, but it also does not work on Chrome, or IE9. Any ideas?

You have the latest version of Flash Player installed, and it seems to work (since you can see the Flash animation on the Adobe website).
    A few things to try:
disable Hardware Acceleration; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/891337 (re-enable it if it does not resolve your problem)
disable Protected Mode; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071 towards the end (re-enable it if it does not resolve your problem)
try another browser, e.g. the 64-bit version of Firefox: Waterfox, or Internet Explorer

  • Still having problems with flash . It still won't run in IE8 but does in firefox.

please see my other thread. It says it is answered so had to start a new thread.

shockwave flash object 10.1.85.3 is loaded now. shockwave activex control 11.5.9.615 is enabled but not loaded. It appears in "all add-ons".
in the folder flash: -   Folder - flashplayertrust
                                   Files -     flash10k.ocx
                                                 flashinstall.log
                                                 flashplayer.xpt
                                                 FlashUtil10k_ActiveX.dll
                                                 FlashUtil10k_ActiveX.exe
                                                 FlashUtil10k_plugin.exe
                                                 npswf32.dll
                                                 subinacl.exe.manifest
In Firefox both shockwave flash add-ons are shown.
and loads of others.  Can't see IE8 add-in though.
    I have AVG virus software.
It seems that many people have  this problem, so is Adobe doing something about it?
    Thanks

  • Problem with Flash in Chrome

Recently my Flash has been acting generally weird. I cannot view certain flash videos, although youtube works, and Flash is not allowing me to set websites store data, making it impossible to use many flash-dependent websites. When I attempt to fix this with the Flash global settings manager, it simply does not save my choices, and does not even let me click the "Allow third party Flash content to store data on your computer", which is what I need to fix it. Also, even if I make sure I am signed in, every time I navigate to the Global Settings Security page, it seems to log me out. Any help with allowing Flash to save my settings, or why videos aren't working in Chrome?

    Try the following
close all browser windows and open Windows Explorer
in the address bar type %appdata%\Adobe
delete the 'Flash Player' folder in there
in the address bar type %appdata%\Macromedia
delete the 'Flash Player' folder in there
Now try again to change any Flash Player settings.
