Having Problems Resetting My Password

Hey Guys,
Can't remember the password to the admin account on the computer. Read on resetting the password using the install disc, but automatic login is set to "on" so when I restart the computer and hold down the "c" key, it just boots up like normal without going to the utilities page. Any recommendations? Thanks guys.

Having problem resetting my password

I couldn't login my account with my password.
So I clicked on the button to reset my password. However, when I got the email and I clicked on the link or entered the given code manually, the system just says that my account does not exist! I thought I deleted my account, so I tried to use my email to create new account but the system says that there is an existed account associated with my email.
What should I do guys?
Now I got a new account with another email address but all my contacts were in the older account.
Is there a possibility that someone hacked my account???

Ahmed, surely if those are your "life time" contacts, you have them stored somewhere else besides a phone, which can break, get lost or stolen, or have a software problem.
If you've been using your phone as recommended, you've been synching your contacts with your computer (Address Book, Outlook) or with a cloud service (Google, iCloud). Your contacts should be nice and safe on your computer or in the cloud. Just resynch them to your phone.
If you have NOT been using your phone as recommended, and you are unable to restore your phone from the previous backup, then you have unfortunately learned the hard way how foolish it was to not use your phone as intended to keep your data safe.

I am having problems with my password to sign into Itune and ICLOUD account I have a ticket Number is 609987250 do I need two different password for the accounts I mintion

Why will i cloud refuse to log me in even with the right apple ID and password. I keep having to reset my password but i always get an answer that I have a valid ID and password but it is not an icloud account

I have tried for almost a entire year to go there. i have re-downloaded the icloud contorl panel. before I got this notebook HP windows 8 it was easier . I do not like Internet explorer so I downlloaded.Google chrome. What must I do to go to icloud? I tried Internet Explorer and chrome. I buy music on itunes and I am not sure I get all the content I purchase. I have had to reset my password often and my email address to. I once spoke to a live tech a long while ago and he helped me combine all my purchased and downloaded music. Now its impossble to talk to anyone on the phone or even online and i am frustrated.

You must create the account using an Apple device, a Mac (Lion or greater) or an IOS device (IOS5 or greater). Having done that you will be able to sign in from your Windows machine.
FYI, iCal is an application that can display calendars from iCloud (and others) it is not a calendar itself, merely a calendar client. In Windows Outlook is the calendar client.

Problem Resetting Admin Password

UGH, So I forgot my admin password and followed the directions online, or at least I tried. The problem was that in doing so, I could not figure out how to reset the password without re-installing snow leopard 10.6.3 . I now think that I did something wrong because I cannot find the ITunes icon on my desktop and some other icons are not showing up as previous. Help! Do I need to uninstall or something? I'm not very computer savvy so I need detailed instructions!

I am currently having problems with my password for iphoto. If I delete my account will I lose my photos?

I am currently having problems sending an email through Iphoto. It seems the fix is to delete my iphoto account and re-add it. If I do this, will I loose all my photos?

Not if you delete an e-mail account
IMHO opinion the better option is to set Apple Mail as the e-mail client in the iPhoto preferences

Problems resetting login password

I have apparently forgotten my login password for my Mac Air. When following the instructions to reset my password using my Apple ID, step 2 says "In the login window, click the question mark in the password field, and then click the arrow in the dialog that appears.", however, there is no question mark in the password field, so, my attempts to reset my password have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should do or try?

very strange. this should have worked. try doing it from single user mode then.
restart and hold command+S at the chime. you'll see a black screen with white text. at the prompt enter
/sbin/mount -uw /
next enter
passwd username
where username is the short name of the admin user. enter new password for that user when prompted for it. when done enter
reboot

Why do I keep having to reset my password?

Please help. I have to change my password for icloud almost every time I check my mail in the morning on my ipad, and every time I log into itunes on my pc (windows 8.1). I have had to reset every day. I had to change it again an hour ago and then logged out of my icloud email and outlook express email, logged back in just fine. After searching for similar problems on Google I came to apple support and was asked for id/password and it won't recognize the new password I changed an hour ago. And yes, it was typed correctly. I have to do this every time I check my mail on my ipad (all software is up to date) and I'm going crazy. Please help

Likely because one of the servers (the incoming or outgoing) needs authentication before you can receive or send messages.

HT201364 having problems with administrator & password having installed Maverick

Having installed Maverick OSX it does not allow me to unlock any preferences until I enter an Administators name & password of which I do not know please HELP!!

Reset Password using Recovery HD
Boot into Recovery Partition.
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.

Hi, can you provide some more details in order that you're query can be responded to? I'm assuming you're trying to sign in to your ePrintCenter account. What happens when you enter your emial address after clicking the Forgot Password link on the sign in page? If you get a message saying that the email is invalid then its possible you didn't successfully create an account in the first place.

Problems resetting admin password

Earlier today, I changed my account to standard and set up a new administrator account then, like a complete idiot, forgot the password. I've tried using the install disk. When I go to Utilities > Reset password, it says select disc from which to reset password but only the install disk is listed. My startup disk isn't listed. I really don't want to have to do a clean install if I can avoid it. Am I doing something wrong?

Having problem resetting my blackberry ID

Hi. I've tried resetting my blackberry ID(bbid) like a hundred times. I go to the forgot password link. Follow everything there. Got the reset password link. Put in new password and then I end up at a blank web page. The web page address is: https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/valpasswordreset . Can any1 help me please?

that's the challenge, I've know of someone who has similar issue but could have only viewed the page from the web browser because of the same issue. Even if you go to an internet cafe for 5mins or a friend that you trust to do it for you..

Having trouble resetting admin password

I have followed the directions on the MAC OS X install disc to get to the area that allows an admin password change. However, after I hit Utilities, then Restart, it asks me for the admin password to continue. I am trying to change it because I have forgotten it. Kind of a "Can't get there from here" loop. Any thoughts?

Still having problems resetting my iMac to factory settings

Hi all,
I have an old iMac 4,1 intel core duo that I want to wipe so I can pass it on to my daughter.
It originally came with an OS9 disk, which I still have. Later it was upgraded to OSX Snow Leopard and I still have that disk too.
However I have followed the advice here about inserting the disk, restarting and pressing C to start installation but nothing happens...on either disk.
I've tried it several times with a wired keyboard so its not a timing thing.
Any suggestions greatfully received.

Try a restart while holding down the option/alt key. Can you select the DVD there and boot from it?
