Since you have a new hard drive, there is nothing on it, so you need to boot from an external source (and probably format the hard drive before installing an OS). Are you booting from the 10.6 install disk? Better yet - do you have a bootable backup clone or at least a Time Machine backup?

My old computer crashed and I am trying to download Adobe X Pro on my computer. I have tried to download and the only download I can find is the Adobe XI Pro. Any help would be appreciated. I have the product key but it's not deactivated on my old computer.

Problems installing OS
I have an iMac 21.5 (mid-2010) and I'm trying to install a new hard drive. When I choose the installation disk the Apple logo comes up and it stops there. Then the mouse and keyboard goes dead. I'm trying to install 10.6. Any help would be appreciated. This new version does not show what file it was trying to synch when the problem occurred. I've seen some suggestions re deleting a cache file but I can't find it on my pc.

I am trying to download and album off ITUNES but when I get to the billing site and attempt to purchase it, it gives me a message saying "Your Session has timed out." It gives me no other option that to try again and I just keep getting the same results. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

There are a couple things that I would recommend trying. Try closing all open applications and power cycle the device. Next, go through the section labeled Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in the second article below. If the issue persists, try completely signing out of the iTunes Store on the iOS device and sign back in. Be sure to test downloading an application after each step.

Trying to send a gift on iTunes and it keeps saying invalid email address, but I know it's correct.
iTunes keeps popping up saying that I have put in an invalid email address but I know it is correct.
You made an error when entering the settings into the iPod. Sometimes it is easier to just delete the mail account from the iPod and reenter the setting vice trying to find the error.

Check security software and ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow these stepsfor assistance with security software.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow theadvanced iTunes Store troubleshooting steps to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information."
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

Hi all, I'm trying to download a film from iTunes onto my iPad but downloaded the HD version instead of SD and don't have the room to download it. Have removed everything I can to make space but still need another 1.2 GB. Is there any way I can delete it so I can delete the version I wanted, or even better change to the SD version? The film is still queuing in the downloads list. I've tried edit and delete but that doesn't work. I also can't re-download the film from iTunes.
