Having problems trying to install itunes? getting all sorts of errors!

Just 2 days ago i uninstalled itunes because it wasn't letting me update to ios5. So i uninstalled it. Then when i tried to install it came up with
an error occurred during the installation of assembly"Microsoft.VC80.CRT.type="win32",version="8.0.507276195",publicKeyToken ="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'.Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8007054F
The installation started to roll back and then it came up with
The Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.Verify that you have sufficient priviliges to start system services.
Then i clicked retry and it came up with
Could not open key:
UNKNOWN\Components\2FBF74B8EFDC1654F863E83452159AC3\46B5A9879DD95AB419A50FCFA0B1 B7EF.Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your supportpersonnel
I uninstalled all my programs related to apple. But when i try to install itunes Bonjour and Apple Mobile Device always comes up again.
I have a Dell Inspiron 15R running on Windows 7 x64 bit. I really need help badly. Can i know if i will ever have itunes ever again?
And a lot of my updates have failed by the way in the last couple of days!

Yes me too, i wanted to update to ios5 on my iphone and ipad 2, but it said i must update to the latest version of itunes first. When i clicked on update it jusn't didn't do so!

Managed to get the installation sorted. Go to Control Panel, and where you have a list of all installed programs, repair all the Apple/Itunes related programs. Installation worked fine after that. Hopefully it helps you out too!

  • Having problems trying to install ipod

I keep running the install disk and it asks to connect the ipod to see if it needs to be formatted. I do this and it says that it is rebooting the ipod...then it says to press the format button again. It will do this a couple times then say that it is having problems conecting to the ipod and to disconnect and re connect the ipod. If i do this it keeps happening...does anyone know how to fix this or what to do?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Don't use the CD. Instead download the latest version of the iPod software updater, and install it. Run the updater, connect the iPod when told (but not before), and choose to restore.
Note: If you do not have iTunes installed you should download iTunes and install it first before attempting the above.

  • Tried to install itunes update software and now error message coming up

I tried to install the itunes update today and now its not working.  error message 7 keeps coming up- I have tried to trouble shoot but still not working.  uninstalled itunes and reinstalled, still not working. HELP

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

  • Trying to install iTunes on Windows 7 but error message stops installation

I tried installing iTunes 9.2.1 for Windows (64 bit) but after a few moments the installation stops and I receive a message saying "Could not access network location %APPDATA%\."
I read an troubleshooting article that told me I should delete a Temp folder found through the C drive, and the folder was not able to delete, but after opening it and deleting everything that way, almost everything was able to be deleted except for a few files and folders that were "in use" in other places (not sure if that's relative or not, but just for more information).
After deleting the folder I tried installing iTunes again, but the same message occurred. Help?

The response to "Echo %appadata%" should be
    C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming
A space in the user name shouldn't be a problem, but creating a new user may fix the problem because it will create the account with default registry settings which will hopefully have the missing %appdata% information.
If you want to check on this before creating the new user, just for curiosity's sake, check the following Registry key:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\Shell Folders and check the value for AppData in the right hand pane. If it's missing, then that would explain the problem. It should be as listed above, substituting the UserName with the folder name for the user under Users.
    Also check the key
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\User Shell Folders
The value of this key should be
    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming
    More keys to check:
    HKCU\Volatile Environement (1)
    HKU\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVer sion\Explorer\User Shell Folders (2)
    HKU\Sxxxxx\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi on\Explorer\User Shell Folders (2)
    HKU\Sxxxxx\Volatile Environement (1)
The values in (1) should have the full path spelled out, the values in (2) should use the %USERPROFILE% variable in the path. If the value under HKU\.DEFAULT is missing or bad, then creating a new user probably won't work either. If that value is missing, then I would recommend a clean reinstall of Windows because there is no telling what else is messed up also.

  • I am having problems trying to install the new LR 5.4 update

I have tried three times to install LR 5.4 and failed.  At one point, I lost my LR,5.3 and had to reinstall it.  Thank goodness that worked.  How do I install LR 5.4?

Goldenlightdigital I would recommend reviewing your installation log files to discover the error.  Please see Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html for information on how to locate and interpret your installation log files.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

  • Why was i sold pscs5 upgrade from pse5 and now im having problems trying to install because pscs5 has no option for pse5. why is that? and can someone help me?

someone please help? the computer that i work on does not have an internet connection. and now im stuck!!!!!

Photoshop Elements is not in the upgrade path for Photoshop.  If you just purchased Photoshop CS5 it was not done thru Adobe... they do not sell older versions of their software.
