Having Serious MIDI Issues

It all started when I recently bought a Pioneer DJM-900srt and switched from Traktor to Serato Dj. Now, I have been using my current Korg Nanocontrol for about 2 years problem free using manly Ableton Live 8 and Traktor Pro 2. Never needing to download any drivers and/or control editors. Fast forward to recently. Unknown to me at the time Serato Dj had some known issues with Midi mapping (that i should of researched more) but I went ahead and downloaded the latest Korn Nancontrol driver and control editor. Thinking 1) It might solve my Serato Dj problem and 2) what could it hurt? The second turned to be a nightmare.
So before I downloaded the driver and control editor I could plug in and unplug any of my midi devices, audio interfaces and Dj mixer in no specific order and at anytime and every thing would work and midi map as it was meant to. However, after downloading the driver all **** broke loose. While the driver was on my laptop none of my listed midi devices would connect properly and half the time the program would fail or just not open. I know you're not Allen & Heath but I also tried to download the latest driver from their website for my non working Xone 1D; Ableton, Serato Dj and Audio/Midi setup in utilities just will not open so i cant even tell if the midi devices are functioning properly. So I went on and deleted the Korg driver, editor and the Xone 1D driver.
After deleting the drivers and Korg control editor things now somewhat work but far from how they should. In order for things to function somewhat properly I must turn on the devices in this exact order. Turn on the computer and let it fully boot up. Plug in via USB to my laptop and turn on the Djm-900srt. Plug in my USB 7 port extender (with power supply) plug in my Korg Nano and my Maschine Mikro into the extender and turn it on. Boot up Ableton to quickly check if the devices mounted properly. Open up either Traktor or Serato and rock the house. The Allen & Heath Xone 1D has been dead in the water since the initial Korg Driver install. The Xone 1D will show up in every program as normal and as though it should work but sends no midi signal. I've hooked it up to other computers and it works flawlessly. So I know its my laptop. Below is a screen shot of everything in "working" order. Note even though the Xone 1D shows up it does not send any midi signal. I've repaired the main HD and its currently showing no errors, since it was showing errors and I thought the might be the case also. After the repair I know have some random folders showing up, lost+ found and Mac OS X System Install Data. Please help! I've attached a couple screen shots to hopefully help.

Basically,
All the midi instruments are internal (the ones that came with logic). I've got 5 or 6 audio tracks which were recorded in the jack inputs of the interface. I'm now using the three pin so I've got phantom power for the mic (haha). It's just that it doesn't do it in some other projects?
The forcusrite control program is a nightmare, nothing makes sense!

I've opened up a whole new blank project, and selected to add audio - then enabled it to record. This works with no lag what so ever. Is there any way I can copy and paste everything into this new project to see if it will work?

I have a Sony NEX-VG10, edit with Prem Pro and am having serious capturing issues.

I recently purchased the Sony NEX-VG10 and am really excited about it. I have run into some serious problems capturing the footage, though. I have a 2010 iMac, am running OSX 10.8.2 Mountain Lion and use Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 to edit. I've discovered that the files on the camera are .MTS, a file format with which I am unfamiliar (not surprising, I'm not exactly a newb, but the past few months is the first time I've started editing seriously - I am more a writer/director/producer and could do basic stuff with FC7 and Prem Pro - now I own my own production company and am getting down to the nitty gritty).
But I have found that
1. I can't capture using bridge, it doesn't recognize the file format.
2. When I plug the camera into the computer and go straight to the files, I don't even get individual files. All the information is contained in what looks like a Quicktime movie, but isn't recognized by Quicktime or any other program as anything.
3. When I go into the camera files using the import function in Premiere Pro, I find the individual .MTS files - which say they are Unix Executable files (no idea what that means), I can import them into PP, but the quality is atrocious. Grainy and pixely. Even when viewing them in full res playback mode.
4. I bought Bigasoft Total Video converter (wicked cool program). I import the files using PP, then go find them in this program, and convert them into .mov files - the quality is still atrocious (not surprised, as the .mts files look cruddy, what could I expect when I converted them - but was worth a try).
I need to capture these files in full quality (oh - the file information says they are in 1920 x 1080 (1.0), so it's not like I filmed in a low res.
The software that came with the camera is for PCs, I've searched for answers to these problems, and although I've found similar, I can't find anything that actually helps me. Can anyone out there tell me exactly what to do?!? I would be most appreciative. My new company's success depends on it!

If you'll type mts into the search field for these communities, you will see a plethora of threads on the subject - I was going to link to one, but there are so many, it'd be best for you to read through several. In any case, of note is the fact that you might be able to import into iMovie directly as long as you do not shoot in 50/60 fps - in order to be able to read it, it has to be either 30fps for NTSC or 24 for PAL.
Not sure if the frames per second problem has anything to do with your lousy quality problem, but it might. The other concern is that Sony has not and does not really play nice with anything Apple - that was one of the reasons I chose a Canon.

I am having serious performance issues. FF just spins and spins, and rarely gets anywhere anymore.

I have disabled addons, uninstalled/reinstalled, all to no avail. Other browsers work fine for me. I'm at the point where I'm ready to give up on FF and just go to Chrome fulltime, if I can't get an answer to this issue.
I do use quite a few tabs, but I haven't had an issue with that in the past. This issue started a couple months ago, so I went through the various releases, and am now at 7.01 in W7 64, still the same issues as when it started in FF4.
I do NOT have this problem in XP using the same browser version on another machine.

I'm having serious bug issues in the new iOS 5.1 update

When I press the lock button the phone starts dialing one of my favourites and wont end a call either it just hangs there until I close it and then reopen it again. Everything was fine up until the 5.1 update.

Nope, it's still doing it.
I found out how to reproduce it, you must unlock your phone first , then lock it again before trying:
1) Unlock your phone by entering the Passcode.
2) Lock your phone by pressing the power button.
3) Double tap the Home button from the lock screen.
4) Press the new camera Icon and take a photo.
5) Click the thumbnail of the photo at the bottom of the screento view the photo you have just taken.
6) Delete the photo by clicking the trashcan icon.
7) You are then informed that ‘Your iphone is locked. Unlockyour iphone to see all your photos and videos.’
8) Now simple press the Home button and your will be taken to yourhome screen.
The phone is unlocked – without you having to enter apasscode.

HELP!!! Updated to 8.1.1 and now having serious texting issues

I updated to my Iphone 6 to 8.1.1. Now anytime my text goes past the second line I the top bar is overlapping on my send button. After four lines in a text I cant even read the text as it goes behind the background of the keyboard....I live by my phone for my business and this is a throw my phone against the wall and go buy an android issue

close out of the message app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
then do a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release then wait for the phone to boot back up again.
then check message again.

Serious locking issues with Main Stage 3

Having serious locking issues with main stage 3. I just did a music gig over the weekend with main stage 3, and the application locked up 8 times during my performance. There were also several times where there was a delay between the time I struck a key on the midi controller and the time sound actually came out of the audio interface. Has anyone else ran into this problem??

Just read some reviews. There seems to be a lot of problems with the latest main stage update. I didn't notice these latency problems until did the latest update..

For All Serious Burning Issues!!

If you are having serious burning issues and error messages, and after you have freed up atleast 5 gb of HD space on your STARTUP drive (Startup is the drive that your OS is running on) then go to:

and download the appropriate Superdrive firmware for your computer. i have used this site several times. Make sure you follow the directions. This is a major change to the software that runs inside of your superdrive, but it usually does the trick for me when I have issues. If you have previously updated your firmware, and are now having issues, go back to the original firmware and see if that works, (it usually does for me). I have updated several times, and never had any issues. My superdrive is atleast 2 and a half years old with heavy use.
Not sure if Apple approves of doing this, but they don't seem to ever be very helpful with error messages, so this is the best solution for me.

Not really. You only need enough space to cover the amount of data being burned to the disc, which in most cases is 4.7 gb. You will need more if you are burning larger dvd's and/or dual layer. For years, I have only kept roughly 5 gb available on my system and haven't had any problems.

Serious Volume Issues : HELP!

We have had Fios for about 8 month and since we signed up have been having serious volume issues. When we turn on the tv and the fios (HD Box w/DVR) the volume will turn on and it will be in a mono tone with no bass just very bad sounding, other times we turn it on and there is no sound. To get "normal sound" we typically have to turn on and off tv a couple times to get to work. If we turn on tv and have "funny sound" we can flip to DVR and watch tv with perfectly fine sound. We can also turn on DVD player and watch tv with perfectly fine sound. This makes me think it's fios or the box?? We have had a refresh to our box and we just recieved a new box and it is still happpening!! My husband has switched the HDMI cables to the alternate port on our tv (I think that is what he said??) and nothing helps. Our tv is a Samsung LCD and it is maybe 2 1/2 years old at the most. We have never had any issues with this with Directv and can't figure it out. Does anyone have any advice?
Our second issue is on our other tv when we turn on the fios box and attempt to watch tv, Spanish music comes through the subwoofer of our sound sound. Again never an issue until Fios. My husband bought a RF (????) filter and no such luck. Any suggestions?

seeing as how the issue is the same with 2 different HD-DVR's I would assume it is one of the many HDMI issues that occur with the motorolla boxes... try another means of cabling for audio... such as composite (red/white) or digital audio cable
as far as the other box is concerned, with the spanish audio..... that box/TV probably has the SAP turned on.... on the box, go to Menu > Settings > Language > Audio Language.... and switch to English preffered... if it is your TV, consult the owners manual for specific instructions on how to change the setting on the TV.

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

                This is a serious customer issue that I have to report .I am Owning an HP G6 series laptop. After 7 months of purchase I am facing lots of issue with this. The system is getting stucked sometimes and the controllers of Keyboard and mouse are not working, While the time of boot up it is making big noise. All these issues I have reported to authorized service center of HP Maha electronics(Cochin).And the engineers over there observed the issue and replaced my hard disk two times. But the fact is like I am still facing the issue. Till today I have given two times to authorized HP service center (Maha electronics )Cochin. Days after the second time repair I had gone to US and I was unable to report the issue for the third time. I recently came to India and I have reported the issue in HP authorized service center (Maha Electronic)Bangalore. But by that time I came to know that my machines warrantee got over.And they neglected my request saying it cannot be done under warrantee.
                Team, Please think that I have reported the problem during the time of warrantee itself, And your engineers couldn’t able to repair it properly to me.Frankly speaking, They have kept my laptop more than weeks under their custody for observation. But they were failed to find out the root cause of the issue. The folks reading this mail might be thinking that this issue can be, Now because of damage of some other stuff, but it’s absolutely no, Why because, You folks can check the description of the problem with the laptop during my first repair visit(Check the slip’s issue’s reported description) With this serial no([Personal Information Removed]).And still they are not specific about the root cause. Serious resolution issues with After Effects CC (2014) on Windows 8.1 Pro on Dell Precision M3800 laptop??

My new company installed Adobe Creative Cloud (There was some annoying Proxy issues at first, because of the seriously tight I.T policies) but we are having some serious resolution issues with After Effects CC 2014 (also have this resolution problem with Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder, Muse) on Windows 8.1 Pro on a Dell Precision M3800 laptop with icons and interface looking too small and hard to see, is there a fix, an update or a work around, can anyone help?
Any help will be appreciated!

Hi Todd is there a time-frame for this fix, there is a lot of pressure on me, because I convinced my company to get the Creative Cloud and quite a lot of the CC software is not compatible with the latest Windows 8.1 OS.
Is there at least a work around, until this big fix comes along?

HT6154 Having SERIOUS problems with iOS 7.1 on my iPhone 4S!!!!

I am having SERIOUS problems here. Let me give you a rundown:
I have to reboot my phone (or turn it off and on again) to see the correct battery percentage (but I'll address that in a second), and once I reboot it or bring it back up again, it has to restart itself (in the middle of use) about 3 or 4 times before it stays on consistantly; all the while reading the percentage of battery it remembers from the last reboot. Now, about the battery percentage: I restarted it before I charged it last night and it read 16% -mind you, after it had to shut itself down and restart 3 times. I put it on the charger all night, and it still read 16%...but I decided to run a battery cycle (charge it all the way up, and drain it all the way down) to see if that would help. Sad to say, it did not help; infact it made things worse. It now flip-flops in between the Apple boot-up symbol and a black screen when plugged up to a charger or a computer. The computer cannot read the phone being plugged in so I cannot do a manual restore from iTunes.
Best yet, I upgraded to 7.1, and had the SAME EXACT PROBLEMS I AM HAVING NOW. I did a complete restore of my phone, and even set it up as a brand new iPhone, not even a restore from the last iCloud backup, and just loaded all my content from my Mac...and the problems decided to follow -even after the fresh restore.
I'm toying with the idea that it may be a hardware problem, but I would love to know if anyone is experiencing the same issue.
I have no idea what to do... please help.

ok well seeing that your are having major issues with the battery and the loading screen it is a hardware issue. reseting it wont help that at all. what you need to do is take it to apple and let them look at it. They can tell you what is wrong with it and how much it would be to fix it ( if it is possible your situation is really bad) but if its not they might give you a discount if you give the iphone to them.

I am having serious issuse trying to open websites or links which i have never had before

I am having serious issues trying to open websites/pages or links which i have never had before. For instance when i open Firefox and my tabs start to load, sites such as Yahoo, Gamespot or Fox News struggle to open (these are just an example of a wider picture) Other times Firefox just freezes either for Minutes on end or completely until it either crashes or i have to task manage out of it. Firefox has total privelages through both my antivirus software and the in built Microsoft firewall. I never used to have this problem and speaking to some friends some of them are experienceing the same thing and due to the lack of help from Firefox have reverted to using Explorer. I do not recieve any error messages or messages stating there are problems with any of the sites that struggle or fail to open. I have tried disabling all add-ons and starting Firefox in save mode but no luck. I have also tried to change the settings in Options / Privacy - History from Remeber History to Use custom settings for history but this just keeps reverting back to original setting. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i don't want to return to using Windows Explorer.

FF4 has problems with script-heavy sites. There are two solutions:
1) Downgrade to 3.6
OR
2) Use a different broser

Save as .pdf in Photoshop CS5 - serious font issues.

It may not be directly about Acrobat, but since it's a PDF issue maybe someone here will be able to help.
I'm having serious issues with fonts while saving as .pdf from Ps.
No matter what pdf settins I use, the fonts result messed up one way or the other (see attachment). It only happens when saving as .pdf from Ps, while all works fine when saving from Illustrator, Word, etc...
I have no idea what could be the reason. Please help.

Solved.
After going through all the preferences - it was due to "2D graphics acceleration" being on for some reason.
So - you put "2D graphics acceleration" in Acrobat (9 an/or 10) an the above is what you get... hmmm.....
