Having to change settings in iPad to AirPrint
I have an iPad 2 and HP printer. Each time I want to print I have to go into iPad settings to change the wifi network from Talk Talk to my printer and then back again to use other apps. This works but is tedious. Can this be avoided?

Which Talk Talk router you are using?
AirPrint relies on IP multicasting which require your router to support this kind of protocols (Bonjour, mDNS, Multicasting, IGMP, etc.)..
As the printer do work using the direct ad hoc connection it clearly support AirPrint and it's the router which breaks the connection.
From my experience some Talk Talk routers do not support Multicasting and therefore will not allow to discover an Airprint printer through the local network.

OS update changed settings on iPad
My wallpaper was changed. Also keyboard clicks turned off. When I set them to on they still do not work! Yes, I do have volume turned up.
Never mind it turns out somehow the mute switch was in the on position. Not sure what happened as never had it that way before. Also seemed like whe n I tried iTunes after key clicks stopped working music still played, but maybe mute switch does not affect that. Still odd that it changed wallpaper back to raindrop pattern which I think was what iPad came with out of the box.

My photos will not sync to my Apple TV (1st generation), ipad, iphone, or itouch. They used to be there but upon recent syncs with all devices they have all gone. I am totally baffled as I have not changed settings?
I had the same thing happen to me. It's a bug in iPhoto 9.4.2.
The first time you run iPhoto after upgrading to iPhoto 9.4.2, it "updates the iPhoto library". This sometimes tickles a bug where iTunes can see all your iPhoto albums, but iTunes thinks they are empty. Since iTunes thinks all your albums are empty, it dutifully deletes any photos from your synced iOS devices.
It's easy to tell if this is the problem you are seeing. Open iTunes and go to the photos sync panel for one of your iOS devices. If you have multiple albums checked, but iTunes shows a total of 0 photos, then you have the problem.
I spent an hour with an Apple Genius. he couldn't find any mention of this problem in their internal support system. His recomendation was to reinstall the operating the system. I suspect that this won't solve it.
The only solution I have found is to restore iPhoto 9.4.1 and the corresponding iPhoto library from your backups.
I would refrain from upgrading to iPhoto 9.4.2 until Apple has a fix for this issue. -
I just put Facetime on my MacBook and Ipad. I can connect and recieve video but no sound. The other person can hear me. If I use Skype everything works fine. I can't find any where in Facetime to change settings for the audio. Any suggestions
Options for when an iOS device gets locked because of forgotten passcode:
Restore (and reset passcode) on your device by connecting it to the last computer to which it was connected:

As far as I know, deleting the messages on the iPad should not affect them on the iPad. I delete messages on one device and it doesn't affect the messages on the other device since they are stored locally on the device. And ... I am using my iPhone number as the contact address on both devices,
You can create another ID for texting on the iPad, but it's not an absolute must. You just need to use your Apple ID email address, or any other working email address for that matter - as the contact at address on the iPad for texting. As long as you use the iPhone number on the phone and the email address on the iPad, texting paths shall never cross.

For a "hard" restart of your iPad just press the home and power button at the same time and hold it for at least 10-15 sec. until it restarts.

Anyone having same issue as mines please help me put. I am having trouble with resetting my ipad mini. I have been having it on reset for 2 hours already and its still on the same spot and not moving anywhere. How long does it usually take to restore settings? And how can i exot put of ot from restoring anymore?
This is how you Reset - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Only by using Settings>General>Accessibiltiy>Large Text>On and it only works for email, notes, calendar, Messages, and contacts.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with changing the country for the iTunes Store on your iPhone. For this issue, I recommend signing out and back into the iTunes Store on your iPhone:
Sign in with a different Apple ID
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
Tap your Apple ID.
If you see the option to Sign In, you can change your Apple ID now.
Tap Sign Out.
Enter your Apple ID and Password and tap Sign In.

If the issue persists after signing out and back in, I recommend quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the iTunes Store app, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

How do I get to the sleep timer settings on iPad?
THe very first time I turned on my new iPad, I was offered the chance to change the timeout value of the sleep timer; how many seconds or minutes of inactivity before the iPad puts itself to sleep. I changed it from 15 seconds to 'Never' and now I can't find the config screen that allows me to alter the value.
There must be a config screen somewhere. I remember it having about 10 settings; with 'Never' being the last.Yes but auto lock doesnt work in BBC iPlayer or youtube for example while watching a video. What if i want it to sleep while watching something? How do i do that?

Further info - I changed my security settings to allow apps from anywhere, and again tried to install. I again got an error message

I cannot sign into icloud on my phone because the Apple ID is an email account that has been deactivated and deleted. How can I change my Apple ID without having to change the primary email address to this non-existent account? If I did so, I wouldn't be able to access the account to receive the verification email. Please help!
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You should not need to verify the old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I have an old Ipad and an IPad Air. I used one Apple ID for both IPads. Now I wish to split the iCloud storage and separate the two. I want to change my new IPad Air to a New Apple ID. How do I do it?
Go to Settings > iCloud > Delete Account, and enter your Apple ID password. Then sign in with the new ID.
NOTE: "Delete Account" just means it will be deleted from the iPad. The account itself will not be deleted.
