Having to leave the conversation and re-enter to read iMessage.

My iMessages aren't coming through while 'in' conversaton, i have to leave the conversation and load again to see the new message.
My friend on her 3GS is not having to do this and all my iMessages are coming through automatically with the the conversation open.
How can I make it 'auto-detect' / 'auto update'?

Try force-closing it again followed by resetting your phone (hold the on/off and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the off slider that appears first, then release). If the problem persists you may have to back up your phone and restore it as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414. Before restoring be sure to sync with iTunes and back up your phone. It's also a good idea to import your photos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and back up your contacts (by syncing them with iCloud, Google or another cloud service, or to a supported program using iTunes.

Open the server as you normally would. When you enter your password, click the box to "remember Password". Once mounted, select the server icon from your desktop and hit Command + L to make an alias. You can move that alias to some place out of the way if you wish. The go to System Preferences/Users and select your user profile, then Login Items. Simply add the alias you just created. Now every time you boot you will automatically be connected to that server.

You can install the new hard disk yourself if you want to. You just need a 2'5" SATA II hard drive, which is compatible with your MacBook Pro. You can buy one at OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/2.5-Notebook/ You can filter hard drives by computer, so press a "Click to view all...", choose your computer in the sidebar and it will give you the compatible hard drives.
There are different brands for the MacBook Pro. The most recommended are HGST and Seagate, which have good reputation. A 7200 rpm hard drive will give you extra performance

The first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device or to set up the iPhone as a new iPhone.
The former does as provided - it transfers the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the iPhone replacing all data on the iPhone that is included with the backup being transferred. The latter does nothing allowing you to make your various selections for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
This is designed to be done right away with a new iPhone.
If you don't have a backup for the iPhone with iTunes on your computer and don't have an iCloud backup that hasn't been updated since choosing to transfer the backup for your iPod Touch to the iPhone, the data that was on the iPhone is gone.

Is this a new Apple iD? If it is, and you have already set it up, then you have two options:
1. Temporarily put a Credit Card or Gift Card on the account to download the free app. If you put a credit card, then once you have downloaded the app, you should be able to go into your Account preferences and change the payment option to = None.
2. You can download the fee App, and then set up a new Apple ID.

What turns the trial into the live software is signing in. If you sign in with the Adobe ID that has the subscription, the trial becomes live. First check your account on Adobe.com to make sure that the subscription is live.

Why are my message attachments now represented by question marks? They appear in the conversations and details like this on my iPad but are there on my iPhone.

Since running the battery right down on my iPad, software up to date, my message attachments appear as question marks in both the conversations and details. They are still there on my phone. The version of Lightroom I have is 4.0 (working w/Windows 7) This computer and all media files are kept off-line After doing more research, I downloaded DNG Converter 7.1This loaded into a .zip folder, which I am planning to install into the off-line computer andrun. Where does this folder go?
And will this set up work with my version of Lightroom?

If you are looking for this area, in the newer iOS, it is Settings>Privacy>Location Services. I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish here, so I cannot give you more information. Is it possible you are trying to give this program access to photos in your Camera Roll? Please provide a little more information.
