Having trouble authorizing my laptop.. HELP PLEASE!!

i recently bough a new laptop. today i tried to transfer all of my purchases on my old ipod, to this computer. i know to do this, u have to "authorize" your computer by giving the password for every apple id acount that has ever been used to buy any of the music on your device (ipod, iphone, etc..). i have done it once before. a few years ago i bought an ipod nano from a friend. it had about 200 songs on it, since i didnt want to lose all of his music i authorized my computer using his apple id and password, and i succesfully transfered all of his purchases onto my library. after that, i bought a new ipod. i had no trouble sincing the ipod to my old library. itunes "sinc-ed" everything in my library onto my new ipod without hassle. well now we get to the problem. i bought this new laptop and i am trying to transfer my purchases off of my ipod onto my new library so i dont have to start all over. there are only 2 apple id accounts that have been used to buy all of the music on my ipod, mine, and my friends. well when i plug in the ipod and select transfer purchases, itunes is asking me for the passwords to my apple id account(normal), my friends(normal), and an additional 4 random accounts i have never heard of and that have never ever been sued to buy any of my music. i DO NOT KNOW WHA TO DO. i havw tried support and help menus, but my problem isnt isted anywhere. plus, i have NO way of knowing the passwords to those 4 random accounts. i need help fast please. when i enter the password for my, and my friends older apple id, it only transfered 105, or my 500 songs i have on my ipod. i dont know what to tr next. any help is appreciateed, thank you.. ryan

I haven't renamed anything as far as I know. I made a new folder when I hit Folder option and it's highlighted as well as the path shows up in the processor box. Just when I choose run it tells me to specify a folder. The only thing I can think of is that maybe something messed up b/c I'm copied the files and folders over from my PC but it let me save as on the mac. Also the folder I'm choosing to put them in is on the Mac harddrive. IDK...

Having trouble with quicktime. Help please.

A while ago, maybe a few months actually. My quicktime stopped working so i uninstalled it and installed it again. Now whenever I go to a website where I need quicktime to see videos, I only hear the audio (e.g Apple websites, guided tour videos, audio only). What can I do to fix this problem.

These forums can somtimes be helpful, but after a lot of reading in this case, I'm stumped.
No help starting, then quitting GarageBand, no help setting MIDI audio output to 44100 Hz (it was already there), no help reinstalling QT 7.0.4, no help rolling back to QT 7.0.1, no help shutting down all other applications when running QT. OS is current, with no more available updates. The video I edited on this same computer using Quicktime and posted on putfile plays fine on my (gasp) older PC running Windows QT 7.0.4.
As a loyal Macintosh owner since 1984 (my family currently has 7 working Macs, 3 iPods and 1 PC), I have the sinking feeling Apple seems to be becoming less unique and more microsoft like over time. While MS isn't up to the level of Apple yet, the gap seems to be closing. I don't want to know how to change my audio settings, repair permissions or do anything not directly related to the task at hand. I'm getting tired of paying for "upgrades" that aren't, including the new iLife suite and the QT 7 pro key I recently bought.
How do we report this issue? I encourage everyone who is having problems with Quicktime videos stuttering, dropping video or audio to report this so that Apple will be made aware and held responsible.

Did you use different Apple IDs purchasing your content? If so, you need to activate your Mac with all existing Apple IDs... even the ones you don't use anymore. This should do.
In iTunes go to Menubar and click on "Store" -> Activate this computer

Hi Christina, belated welcome to Apple Discussions if nobody said it already.
I've had some experiences with these new flash memory recording camcorders, and I'll give you a quick rundown of what I've learned. Many of them (JVC, Panasonic, etc.) tend to record in a .MOD file format, which is non-standard, proprietary, and unrecognizable by most software. I thought Canon was usually a little more standards-compliant, but it appears they also use this .MOD format in your specific camera model. There are likely a couple ways we can get around this though!
In order to play the files, you will likely need to change their file format (.MOD) to .AVI manually. You'll have to locate the files on your Mac, and then manually change the file names so that the file extension (after the period) is .AVI
At that point, a video player application such as http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html>VLC should play the files fine!
You should be able to transfer new video files from the camera to the Macbook Pro with no problems as well. Just plug in the camera to the computer via USB, and also make sure the camera is plugged in to charge. Once it's plugged in, open iMovie (came with the MBP, in the Applications folder) and the MBP should take care of the rest.

The standard way is to go to Store > Authorize This Computer in iTunes' menu.
If you've already tried that, then you would need to tell us exactly what steps you have tried, and what you see that indicates failure.
Also tell us what version of iTunes you are running, what version of OS X you are running, and what type of computer you have (and how old).

If you're using iTunes 11 click on the box icon in the top-left corner to see the " Show Menu Bar "
and from the Menu Bar select Store...
From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer.

Q Having trouble with shortcuts in illustrator( Please Help)

I am having trouble with shortcuts when i exit the program and then try and use shortcuts it wont work till i go back into edit and shortcuts menu and click ok to the defaullt setting and i have to keep doing this???? Can some one please helpme. I am very new to illustrator and i am trying to learn the shortcuts. Also im not very good with technical stuff so please make answer simple if possible Thanks

If you are saying that you use the default keyboard shortcuts list, and every time you open Illustrator you can't use any keyboard shortcuts, this must be a bug.
I'd suggest changing one keyboard shortcut, or as many as you would like, and save it as a new list. Maybe it won't be bugged like the default list.
If that doesn't work, my only other idea would be re-installing Illustrator. But wait to see what others say here, before trying to re-install.

go to Settings -> iCloud -> Account make sure you are using the same account on both devices. then you can select what you want synced to the cloud. once you have chosen what you want to sync the devices should update to match each other. this may take a few minutes for the devices to sync up.

If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.
