when i press command k it turns the keyboard on and off in the window drop down menu instead of bringing it up in the little window what should i do to bring up the keyboard? p.s im 12 and my uncle suggests i should ask here so please help me

If I understand works with headphones in, remove plug and there is then no sound from speaker and the iPhone is not new
Check there is no fluff etc in the headset socket it sounds like the sensor believes there is still a plug in socket
a careful use of a can of air brush might solve it
Just seen i4S in your sig in which case take it to an Apple store and genius bar will check it and if faulty replace it over counter

You need to make sure that Bluetooth is activated in your iPad. It takes some times for the 2 to pair after that ... Assuming you have the Alu Keyboard and not the older White wireless keyboard (which does not work)

Having Trouble Bringing Titles back to FCP

Hey,
So I've been editing some 1080i 29.97 footage in FCP. Everythings all edited up and now I'm trying to add some form of lower thirds. I'm using the send to motion menu option to get the cut up sections into Motion.
No problems on that front once inside motion it's easy to do. However once I bring the footage back into FCP it just shows up as a two toned green screen with my original audio.
The first two lower thirds worked no problem. When I came to make the third one I continously get this problem. I was wondering if I'm missing something simple or if there's another bigger problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

do what I would do, create the lower third in motion as a separate project no footage behind it, and import the project to FCP and place the Motion project above your edited footage on the timeline..

Is there a setting that can be changed to allow an Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to wake the computer while docked?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Did your wife tick the box on the Yahoo sign in page to remember her for two weeks?
It would be best two have two separate Firefox profile folders, one for each of you to prevent such problems.<br />
Then you also do not have problems with deleting or changing bookmarks.

Having trouble the keyboard on the iphone

I having trouble with the keyboard in the new update. If I use the left side of the keyboard it deletes stuff, skips lines and thinks I've hit enter. After a few minutes it starts working. it happens every time I use the keyboard functions. Its super aggervating it takes me forever to type anything. Especially frustrating if I am trying to log on to anything. Is the anyway to fix it. Cause one of these days I going to throw this stupid phone.

Why am I having trouble with my keyboard?

Ever since the IOS 6 update, I have been having trouble with my keyboard. I type a word and press space bar, then type the next word but it doesn't recognize the fact that I typed the space bar. It lights up as a mispelled word. It has done with numerous times. I then have to go back, highlight the area, and choose two separate words when the auto-correct options appear. It is very annoying. Anyone else having this issue????

is anyone having trouble with the keyboard sensitivity on the iphone? I am typing, but can sometimes get a delay of 5 seconds or more before the letters actually appear on the screen.
This is across all apps.
Does not seem to be an issue with opening apps or scrolling etc., but only with the keyboard.

I am having trouble with my MacBook Air 13 inch June 2012 MacBook Air5, 2 4GB RAM details below in Etresoft report. I recently upgraded to Yosemite and am having system trouble. My computer crashes and I have to force quit to restart. When using webmail there is a black screen for a split second between pages. This did not happen before. I am worried that it is not running properly and perhaps I need to revert to the previous operating system. I only have a MacBook Air and no need to share images between a tablet or phone so I did not need the new photo sharing software of Yosemite. I wonder if I don't have enough RAM to run it? I did not run time machine before I made the upgrade as I did not realise the significance of an upgrade as not very Mac literate. Any advice on whether my system is in danger... most appreciated! I am writing a book and making a back up but this machine is my lifeline and my work is conducted through it. It ran perfectly before... the Yosemite upgrade has perhaps highlighted some problems and it has unnerved me!

Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)

Edit: I forgot to mention that I already did several memory tests on the RAM, and have wiped and reinstalled the OS and the problem persists.

I am having trouble with my Mac Mini's ethernet connection. Defining a new network interface shows no ethernet adaptor. Reloading SL from DVD repaired. But SL update lost ethernet again. Will Lion Fix?

I am having trouble with my mac mini ethernet. It had been working for weeks after an update to SL 10.6.8.
Once it went out and i repaired it by defining a new connection from System Preferences ->Network->(left panel service, +).
But yesterday, after a power up. my ethernet was not working again. I tried this old trick to repair it, but the interface choices
listed for '+' a new service did not include Ethernet any more. And the Utilities->System Profiler->Ethernet Cards shows
no ethernet available.
As a last ditch effort i reloaded my original SL from DVD. (I think it was version 10.6.4 but i could be mistaken on the version).
The ethernet worked! But KeyNote wasn't going to work because apparently the version i purchased depends on 10.6.8.
So I upgraded again to SL 10.6.8 (Plus some other updates like AirPort which i don't use).
Now the Ethernet is not working again. I see the same symptoms as before with the Ethernet seeming not installed.
Is this a problem seen by others?
Would going to Lion fix the problem?
Could AirPort actually be the culprit and not SL?
If i stay with my original SL, would i need to repurchase a version of KeyNote for the older version of SL?

Have you reset the SMC?
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord.
Wait fifteen seconds.
Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
While you're at it, resetting the PRAM won't hurt anything and 'might' help is SMC reset didn't work (PRAM does some port control):
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
Something else you might try .... you don't say how you're updating to 10.6.8, however, if you're using Software Update, you might try downloading the 10.6.8 combo update, which contains all updates to 10.6. Sometimes, Software Update doesn't work quite right, and installing the combo update fixes that. Download the update from Apple's download site at http://support.apple.com/downloads/ , using Disk Utility repair permissions, apply the combo update, then repair permissions again.

I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/
