So for christmas I got an iPhone and currently, I'm having trouble connecting my iPhone to my iTunes on my computer. If I get on my computer and open my iTunes, I can use it perfectly fine but once I tried to connect my phone to it, it told me the software needed to be updated before it would work with my phone. I went to the website and tried downloading the updated version 10 times but every time it told me it couldn't connect with an apple device or something. So then I tried just going to my downloads and stuff and moving the actual song straight to my phone but it would always tell me my device has ended or has been disconnected. All I'm trying to do is move some songs onto my phone from my computer. They weren't purchased straight from iTunes so it's not showung up in my "purchased" on my phone. (I think I got them from amazon and some are cds that I my computer that I got years ago. Maybe thats why they don't show up in the purchased?) Anyway, how can I fix this? I have a windows computer if that can help at all. Thanks!!!
Also, I just opened my iTunes on my computer then plugged my phone to the computer and a box popped up saying "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device is not started"
I have no idea what that means.
I don't have that option on the side that says what device is connected so I can't sync or anything. -
my iphone is stuck in the connecting to itunes screen, i can not restart my phone the top power button is broke? any ideas? it wont let me connect to itunes either, usb device can not be detected

I'm sorry to hear that your iPhone's power button is not functioning correctly. To be able to get full functionality of your phone, it would need to be repaired.

I am having trouble connecting my iphone 4 to my imac via bluetooth.
I tried to pair my iPhone with my iMac but it didn't work. The Mac first says the connection is successful but the iPhone tells me it was not and forgets the iMac. Then I go into the Bluetooth menu on the iMac and there is a red dot next to the iPhone on the menu saying that it is not connected. Is there a specific way or order that this needs to be done in or software I need?
You can't connect your iPhone to your iMac via BT. Simple as that.

Having trouble charging my IPhone4 with the charger from apple and the charger i bought from sprint. I plug it into the apple charger and nothing happens. if i plug it into the charger from sprint it says charging not compatable with this accessorie? should i take it in for repair or try a new charger??
Try a different charger pref an apple one if it stays the same take it in to be checked

Anyone know how to turn on Apple mobile device on a windows computer. I connected my phone and it was recognized initially then when I performed an update to Itunes it no longer recognized my phone.

I have an old iPod touch. I've been using the Big Blue Live speaker a bluetooth connected device. Never a problem.
I am now trying to connect it to my iPhone5, which I upgraded to ios8. It does not want to pair. It is not recognizing the Big Blue Live.

My iPhone 4S won't connect to iTunes anymore and when charging the connection is now temperamental. What can I do?
You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPhone a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the "i" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPhone (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc. -
I am having trouble syncing my iPhone: photos and music will not sync
I have upgraded to iOS5, I have a iPhone4. iCloud is all set up. Mac is upgraded to Lion. When I connect to iTunes, it allows me to click the sync button and appears to go through the process. When finished there are no photos or music that are set to sync.
I did try unclicking the sync music, then syncing and then reclicking the music - no avail.
Suggestions?That didnt help. it keeps coming upwith this.....

I Downloaded the new softwear update now my iPhone is running slow I'm haveing trouble connecting wifi what can I do!

MS Word is not an Apple product so it could not've downloaded with all the Apple software updates.
"I clicked File > Check for Updates"
What program were you running to do that?
In any case boot from your OS installer disk and run Repair Disk from Disk Uility. -
I am having trouble getting my iphone synced with my computer. I have tried both wifi and with a usb the sync tab under devices is not highlighted and can not be clicked.
Is this the same computer/library the device has always synced with? Was the computer recently reloaded?

I have been having trouble with my iphone 4 for the past day . i tried to update it to 7.0.4 then the screen went blank and it keeps telling me to connect to itunes . I have connected it to 2 computers , using different cords and it doesnt recognize it . It says it is in recovery mode and i need to restore . after clicking restore it says that my iphone cannot be restored . I am very frustrated because i have been online searching for solutions all day and nothing seems to work . As soon as i turn on my phone it goes to the apple logo for about 2 seconds then the connect to itunes screen . SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ! my phone is my life and i need it back on .
Connect the device to iTunes and restore from the most current backup.
If the issue continues, restore as new. -
