Having trouble connecting your Mac to iCloud through MobileMe?

I have been trying to connect to the cloud numerous times and finally found a fix. This wasn't listed anywhere I looked; I hope it saves someone a few hours of frustration.
I had a MobileMe account that has long since expired, but it is still my Apple ID (@me.com). Whenever attempting to login to the cloud via System Preferences, the program would crash.
After numerous failed trials, I finally figured out the problem. MobileMe still had me signed in from the SysPrefs pane even though the acct is long gone. Once I signed out everything worked as advertised.

Of course the message correlates with the problem. You could try installing Perian. While it's intent is to add some additional codec support for quicktime maybe it wil affect imovie too.
Do you know the kind of video the camera is trying to send?

You don't give any information about your Mac but note the quote below which states that it must be a 2012 or later model with Yosemite installed. your iOS device needs to include a lightning connector

Your Mac and iOS device both need bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on. You do not have to be connected to a specific Wi-Fi network.

Having trouble connecting two macs

I've got a Mac mini downstairs (plugged into my router and an iMac upstairs (connected to router via airport). What's the best way to make sure the two stay networked and connected?
At the moment I have to manually click connect to the Mac mini each time and enter my password. And when the mac mini enters sleep mode it seems to drop the connection. Any ideas?

I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

I am not certain this will fix your problem but I suggest you assign the printer a static IP address.
Using the printer's front panel, select Menu > Network > WLAN > TCP/IP > Boot method, and change it to "static". Provide a static IP address that is on your LAN's subnet.
For example, if you are using an AirPort Extreme, you might give it an IP address of 10.0.1.100. If you are using a Netgear or Linksys router that defaults to issuing 192.168.x.x addresses, you might give it an address of 192.168.1.100. That way, the printer will always "reside at the same address" on your network. If your router has the ability, you should reserve that address so that the router does not attempt to assign it to another DHCP device.
Then, go to System Preferences > Print & Scan, and delete your existing printer with the "–" (minus) button. Add it again, using the "+" (plus) button. In the window that appears, select the IP pane, and from the Protocol menu select "Line Printer Daemon (LPD)". In the Address field type the IP address you gave your printer.
If all goes well the "Pring Using" field will detect the printer at that address and automatically select the appropriate driver. You will see something similar to the following screenshot ("name" can be whatever you decide, and "location" is optional):
Click Add, then you can close System Preferences.
There are other possible reasons your printer is "not responding" which could include wireless interference from competing wireless networks, but try this "static IP" method first. It should mitigate the problem.

I am having trouble with my Mac Mini's ethernet connection. Defining a new network interface shows no ethernet adaptor. Reloading SL from DVD repaired. But SL update lost ethernet again. Will Lion Fix?

I am having trouble with my mac mini ethernet. It had been working for weeks after an update to SL 10.6.8.
Once it went out and i repaired it by defining a new connection from System Preferences ->Network->(left panel service, +).
But yesterday, after a power up. my ethernet was not working again. I tried this old trick to repair it, but the interface choices
listed for '+' a new service did not include Ethernet any more. And the Utilities->System Profiler->Ethernet Cards shows
no ethernet available.
As a last ditch effort i reloaded my original SL from DVD. (I think it was version 10.6.4 but i could be mistaken on the version).
The ethernet worked! But KeyNote wasn't going to work because apparently the version i purchased depends on 10.6.8.
So I upgraded again to SL 10.6.8 (Plus some other updates like AirPort which i don't use).
Now the Ethernet is not working again. I see the same symptoms as before with the Ethernet seeming not installed.
Is this a problem seen by others?
Would going to Lion fix the problem?
Could AirPort actually be the culprit and not SL?
If i stay with my original SL, would i need to repurchase a version of KeyNote for the older version of SL?

Have you reset the SMC?
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord.
Wait fifteen seconds.
Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
While you're at it, resetting the PRAM won't hurt anything and 'might' help is SMC reset didn't work (PRAM does some port control):
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
Something else you might try .... you don't say how you're updating to 10.6.8, however, if you're using Software Update, you might try downloading the 10.6.8 combo update, which contains all updates to 10.6. Sometimes, Software Update doesn't work quite right, and installing the combo update fixes that. Download the update from Apple's download site at http://support.apple.com/downloads/ , using Disk Utility repair permissions, apply the combo update, then repair permissions again.

Having trouble connecting my ipod to iTunes and mac

Today my ipod decided to stop working altogether and not play anything. Literally, I was listening to a song and the next song never played. Couldn't figure out why, so I came on here and tried the 5 R's.
I want to restore my ipod (because obviously nothing else I did, worked), but I can't even connect it to my MacBook Pro, let alone, see it in itunes. I just want to see of restoring it might actually fix it before I do anything involving the apple store.
There's all sorts of threads about having troubles connecting ipods to PC's, but nothing I could find about connecting them to Macs.
I know for sure the USB wire is fine. I downloaded the new version of itunes and blah blah blah...it's definitely all the ipod, but I can't seem to come up with any other solution than to go to an apple store.
I only bought this within the last year and just recently started using it on a regular basis.
If anyone would like to shed some light on what might've happened, please let me know! I'd be so grateful! Thanks!

If that works, connect it to the Mac. See if it is now recognized by the Mac and iTunes. If it is, use Restore to erase the iPod and initialize its software.

Hi, I need help please!!!
I am not able to log into my bb app world nor am I able to download or upgrade any aps.
I keep getting this error message..

I called my phone provider and they cannot assist me. I tried a bunch of trouble shhoting options such as:
-deleted app world and re-installed from website
-deleted email accounts and re-installed
-changed bb id name and password from website
-tried to log on using wifi and non wifi
Nothing seems to be fixing this issue.

My BlackBerry's screen suddenly only appeared with white background. I had a new screen put in. They uninstalled all my applications and now I cant download anything. I have renewed my CC subscription through school for another year. My account is showing that it all is well and in order- but I am having trouble connecting to the taskbar- the Apps page is just a spinning circle and has been since last night. My programs think I still have only 2 days left of my subscription. And I think this problem is stemming from not being able to connect to the App Updater. What do I do? I really don't want to reinstall the whole of the CC suite if it can be avoided.
