Having trouble deactivating adobe acrobat 9 pro

Hello,
Im moving over to a new computer (windows 7) I have a student version of CS5 and it includes a seperate disc for Adobe acrobat 9 pro. I already deactivated the other programs in the suite and uninstalled them from my old computer to the new one and they are working fine.
I tried to install  Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro using the cd to my new computer but it says that the serial # is invalid. I check my old computer and it still has Adobe acrobat 9 installed ( adobe reader) but under the help menu of the application there is no deactivation option. Im not sure how to deactivate it or what I should do
Any and all help is great appreciated.

Which one is actually installed. Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader are diffrent applications and Reader doesn't require activation.

  • Trouble with Adobe Acrobat Pro installation from Creative Cloud

When I attempt to install Adobe Acrobat Pro from Creative Cloud, it will always fail on the first attemp. If I retry, it installs it. Then, when I open a pdf document, the application quits in seconds. I get a modal window with the license agreement. However, it is blank and the pull downs are empty. I hit a dead end.
This is so aggravating; especially when Adobe is charging me for my membership every month.
What gives? Can someone help with this?
    Brian

Brian which operating system are you using?  Do you receive any specific errors during the installation process?  If you are using a Windows operating system then please uninstall Acrobat using the Programs and Features control panel.  Once done then please try using the Acrobat Cleaner Tool available at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.
Also you mentioned that the EULA window is blank you may also want to see Blank EULA screen appears on Acrobat XI launch - http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/blank-eula-screen-appears-acrobat.html.  Solution 2 is not likely to be relevant unless you are using an operating system not currently supported by the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  • Trouble installing Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.

Recently purchased 10 (download) licenses for Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.  During the install, we're getting the following error - "Adobe Reader cannot open acrobat pro 11 because it is not either not a supported file or because the file has been damaged".  We've updated our reader to the current version, but are still getting this error message  How can we fix the problem, so we can use the program?

uninistall adobe reader, then run the cleaner (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html), then restart your computer and install acrobat pro.

  • Trouble downloading Adobe Acrobat Pro (unsupported language message)

    Good afternoon,
I kindly seek guidance. I purchased a month's subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro. When I tried to download it, I received an error message stating that it was an unsupported language/platform. I work on a PC. Could I have downloaded the Mac version by mistake?
    Thank you!
    Amy

    Hi Amy,
It's more likely that you have an unsupported version of Windows. Please see the system requirements for Acrobat Pro: Tech specs | Adobe Acrobat XI Pro
Is it possible that you're using Windows Vista?
    Best,

  • Trouble Using Adobe Acrobat Pro

I downloaded the trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro; however, when Iog in, I cannot access the program but continue to get the download dialog box.  Ideas?

    Hi Alice,
After downloading the trial did you install the software?
Are you using Windows or Mac? Do you see Acrobat in the list of installed programs on your computer?

  • I'm having trouble downloading Adobe Acrobat X pro

I purchased a copy from Tek-Micro online which provided me a key and directed me to download from Adobe.com using a trial version and converting.  When I press the download button, nothing happens.

Please try a different web browser.  It is likely your security settings, installed add-ons, or toolbars are interfering with the download process.

    Thanks!!

    Anyone know anything about this?
If anyone does, you'll probably find them on the Adobe forums, as it's their software you're having issues with.

I am having trouble downloading Adobe Acrobat Xl Pro and I keep getting sent back to the trial window asking me to purchase the program which I  has already been done.  What do I do now?

  • I purchased CS6 and had problems with the Adobe Acrobat Pro so i uninstalled and now need to reinstall but serial number wont work. How can i reinstall ONLY Adobe Acrobat Pro since its included in CS6?

I purchased Design Standard CS6 the entire package. I downloaded and installed but I was continually having problems with Adobe Acrobat Pro. I tried updating to the newest version but it only made the problems worse (acrobat was super slow and constantly not responding). So i decided to try to uninstall and then reinstall the program. Well I uninstalled, and then attempted to reinstall ONLY the adobe acrobat pro but it says my serial number (which is for design standard) will not work. Since Acrobat Pro is included in the suite, i thought this wouldnt be a problem. Is there anyway to get around this without uninstalling the entire design standard and reinstalling everything? I only need to reinstall acrobat pro.

You need to reinstall Acrobat the the Creative Suite, you cannot download it is a separate application and install it that way because it will be looking for a serial number relative to being a singly purchased application.

    Reinstalled same error message
    Can anybody assit

Other than reading PDFs, what does your question have to do with Acrobat. Did you install Acrobat, or even Reader? What Operating system do you have and what program versions. When you decide what you have and have an actual question, you might create a new topic in the forum. This one has to do with trying to use AA7 on Win7. Again, what does your question about yahoo mail have to do with this topic, or even this forum. It sounds like a yahoo question unless you have installed a specific Adobe product that is not working correctly. I am not about to try to answer questions about yahoo mail that I don't use when I don't see a connection to Acrobat.

  • I'm having trouble saving my file in adobe acrobat pro 9

I'm having trouble saving my file in adobe acrobat pro 9.  When I attempt to save I get message saying,"Bad File Handle".  There are several pictures on this file I'm trying to save...dont know if that has anything to do with the problem, just thought it would be helpful information.  Would really appreciate any insight anyone has to offer.
    Thanks in advance

I am having a similar problem with a simple pdf form.  I have made several changes to the pdf and when I go to save, I get the message that I can't save the file due to a "bad file handle."  I have opened, altered, saved, and closed the form several times before, just not now.  No one else was working on the form.  The file format is still a pdf and nothing has changed.
