Having trouble installing cs5.5

am trying to install cs5.5 design premium on my mac os 10.7.2
there is cs4 on it aready
comp keeps crashing
got this message from AIR Adobe Support Avisor
cpsid_83572r4 (uninstall cs4 before reinstallling)
but seems unrelated.
what to do?

updating java and then starting in security mode did the trick.
i don't see the logic in this, but it worked anyway.

    Are you having trouble installing CS5.5 on your mac (os lion 10.7.3)? Are you tired of receiving error reports (i recieved "exit code: 24" numerous times)?  there is an easy way without hacking your mac into bits. start your comouter in security mode (hold down the shift key while your mac boots). Pop the CS5.5 Application 1 dvd into the drive and follow the instructions. no problems. no exit codes. no hassel. no swearwords. just an installation that works. why this is necessary is a mystery to me. but it works. after installing, don't forget to restart your mac in order to exit of security modus and return to normality;)
    i hope this helps a few lost souls like me who have wasted hours of their time over the past couple of days. correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't updates suppose to make things work better?

    You can disable the Lion resume feature.
    Open System Preferences > General
    Deselect:   Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
    As for Facebook, select "Keep me logged in" ..   even if the page refreshes, you should stay logged in.
    Click on the image once to enlarge.
    For help to avoid Safari from auto refreshing pages, go to   ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
    For Lion v10.7x:  To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library
    Move the Cache.db file to the Trash. Quit then relaunch Safari.

  • I'm having trouble installing CS5.

    I know it's an old program, but I'm not loving CC, it really bogs down my computer.    I downloaded it from the older products download that can be found at adobe, I had CS5, but lost my install disc, that's why I'm using the download.  There are 2 files since I'm using a PC.  IT starts the install process, but never finishes.  What am I doing wrong?  Should I uninstall CC first?

    If you do not intend to use CC then uninstall it then run the CS Cleaner Tool.  Then try downloading and installing CS5.

  • Having trouble installing CS5.5 and my OS X is version 10.7.2. Please help.

    Hold down the option key and select
     ▹ System Information...
    from the menu bar. In the window that opens, select
    Hardware ▹ USB
    from the list on the left. On the right you should now see a list of all connected USB devices, as well as some built-in components. Is the device shown?

    Although that combination isn't supported, many people have made it work.
    Why would a job require Reader 8? All older files are compatible with newer versions. Or at least they should be.

    I could really use Customer Service help. I received Photoshop Elements as a gift for Christmas...I waiting until i got a new laptop so that I could use that as i was having trouble with older computer. However, I am having trouble installing the software...I swear the dvd added the programs, and I saw them in files explorer i think, but then I cannot find or I was not even able to add the serial number to my knowledge, because it was blank...no keystrokes were shown...and i don't see the program anywhere...Could I have down something wrong and it is somewhere in the cloud?

    There is no one that I see how to start using the program as I must sign
    in. However, I have never been able to get the number to your firm. Or get
    the correct number... I think I clicked on a learning tutorial or browsed
    Adobe's website to learn more, but got caught up in all the details.
    I never uninstalled virus protection to run it because I thought that it
    would ask. I'll try again tomorrow I am frustrated. Thank you for your
    patience. I appreciate it totally. It's really sad cause I really wanted to
    create. I have wanted this for a very long time and I can't believe how
    difficult this has been. It would be really nice to know what is really
    wrong. I must not be seeing something or I've done something.

    Is anyone having trouble installing Adobe flash player on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.7.5?

    Thanks for your help here is what I did so far!
    I have uninstalled Adobe and reinstalled it, I've tried restarting my browser, then my MacBook Pro without any success!
    When I click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner and open System Preferences I can see Adobe Flash Player on the bottom under the Other section.
    If I open Adobe up and check the version it tells me that I have the most recent version!
    I even uninstalled Adobe and installed the newest Beta version, but Adobe is still not working! If I check for the latest version it tells me that I do have the latest beta version, but it still doesn't work!
    If the person who made the video used any other video player it works!
    Their player, plays the video without a problem!

    There are a number of thread on this.  So it might be faster for you to do a web search exit error 34 photoshop to find solution.

    With a single user license, you can install Acrobat on maximum two computers, say, your laptop at work and desktop at office.
    But, you cannot use Acrobat on both the machines simultaneously.
    You will first need to deactivate Acrobat from the old machine, then install and activate the software on the new OS with the same serial key.
