Having trouble installing Photoshop CS6. "Machine restart pending". Restarting machine has no effect.
I found several related articles, but none of them could solve my problem. I got a new computer with Windows 8 on it, and I was going to install Photoshop CS6 on it, but then I got this dialogue.
Restarting the machine doesn't do anything; as the dialogue will just reappear. I had this same problem with my last computer too a year ago, but I eventally chose to ignore it then. I was able to install Photoshop successfully but there were features that didn't behave the way they were suppose to. I took record that the layers did not work independently and that the fill tool acted glitchy. When I ignored the dialogue while trying to install Illustrator and InDesign CS6, there were features that do not behave the same with them as well.
Now I really don't want to just ignore the installer this time around. I got a new computer, and I really want everything to work out. I really think that this dialogue is indicating some type of error, and I really want to work it out before I install anything. I don't want to go through the same issues again.
Photoshop has been installed. I'm thinking that there has been a different problem with my previous computer. Before, the dialogue kept popping up. Right now, it looks like everything is working. There was a very long reboot that worried me, but I think it may have been a Windows problem; as someone else with Windows 8 went through the same thing. Thank you.

I'm having trouble installing photoshop cc through the creative cloud app. My PC is windows 8, I'm sure that's not a problem, right? It takes a long time to move up every percent and then after 10% it says that it failed to install nothing else. Another time it just said error. I need help please! I need this program ASAP! I am having trouble installing photoshop Lightroom. The program is installed and has some sections blocked off. I have the S/N #... I need it to be confirmed and activated so i can receive an email to activate the system to my computer. I am not sure how to go about doing so.

Since you don't say what version of Lightroom, and what sections are "blocked off", let me guess that you have Lightroom CC, and you need to enter the serial number to turn it into Lightroom 6. I could really use Customer Service help. I received Photoshop Elements as a gift for Christmas...I waiting until i got a new laptop so that I could use that as i was having trouble with older computer. However, I am having trouble installing the software...I swear the dvd added the programs, and I saw them in files explorer i think, but then I cannot find or I was not even able to add the serial number to my knowledge, because it was blank...no keystrokes were shown...and i don't see the program anywhere...Could I have down something wrong and it is somewhere in the cloud?

Trouble Installing Photoshop CS6
I have not had any success with installing Photoshop CS6 trial. I have probably tried installing it a dozen times. I've spent the last two nights either waiting for tech support or getting poor suggestions from them on how to fix my problem. I have a new Dell windows 8 PC and yet I get between 50 and 100 errors codes after the installation takes place. I've tried many different online suggestions and tech support offers a lot of the same and they never are willing to stick around to see if their suggestions work. They say comeback if it doesn't work. The latest suggestion was to simply change the name of the OOBE folder to OOBE.old. Gee that didn't work, what a surprise. It shouldn't be this difficult to install some software. Each time I try to install I first run adobe cleaner, so I can start with a clean slate. PLEASE HELP!!!

How do I install Photoshop CS6 on a 2nd computer that has no disc drive?
I'm getting a 2nd laptop for travel and I want to install Photoshop CS6 onto that computer.
I read that I can install the software on 2 computers.
My new laptop doesn't have a disc drive. Is there a way for me to install my already purchased software onto this new laptop without having to purchase an external disc drive?

How can I install Photoshop CS6 32 bit after 64 bit has already been installed?
I have installed Photoshop CS6 64 bit from a disk, but I need an additional 32 bit install for my scanner. Can anyone tell me how to do that, please?
Use the add windows feature from the windows control panel.
Or use PowerShell:
Add-WindowsFeature BITS

Having trouble installing photoshop elements 12
Hi all, hopefully someone can help me with a problem I'm having installing photoshop elements 12 on my vista pc. Basically I have tried downloading the trial via the download assistant but the program will not load or show any signs of working after I download it. I have also attempted to directly download the trial from Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Direct Download Links, Premiere too | ProDesignTools but file 1 only seems to download a 1.5mb file that will not open (similar to the download assistant). File 2 will download but upon unpacking it, the installer program in the download will not respond.
I have tried turning all of my antivirus off, and have been downloading with firefox as opposed to internet explorer. I have not had any error messages pop up as no programs or downloads I have tried even seem to load up.
Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.Mac - Installer failed to initialize. (etc) HELP! I can't install the CS6 Master Collection Suite.

I have photoshop cs6 installed on my desktop which is a PC. I also want to install it on my macbook but it is saying my serial number is invalid. I typed it in numerous times and it will not work. Help???
It's not possible. Standalone licenses are platform specific. You need a second license for your Mac or use Creative Cloud.
