Having Trouble Installing Visual C# 2010 Express from ISO and from Web

I have Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1, and I am trying to install Microsoft Visual C# 2010 Express from the Web and also tried from the ISO. But, the installation program is stalling and then not installing the programs....any ideas on what I can
do to help with this install. Thanks.

Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET Framework Log Collection tool
(http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=12493)
(collect.exe).
Run the collect.exe tool from the directory where you saved the tool.
The utility creates a compressed cabinet file of all the VS and .NET logs to %TEMP%\vslogs.cab.
Post the vslogs.cab file with some descriptions of your issue to the forum.

In my point of view, the error of the setup crash may need to check the following:
Verify that you have installed all your Windows Updates
Verify that you have disabled any anti-virus software
Verify that your OS is update to date, for example, if you are using Win 7 please remember to update to Win 7 SP1.

Having Trouble Installing Visual Studio 2012 Update 3

Hello. I have been attempting to install update 3 for Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate on Windows 7.
I get this error:
"Setup detected an issue during the operation. Please click below to check for a solution and help us to improve the setup experience."
There isn't an option other than "close program" and some text:
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

How to connect to oracle database from visual basic 2010 express edition

I have installed visual basic 2010 express edition on windows xp. But visual basic 2010 express edition supports Microsoft sql server database file,Microsoft sql server compact 3.5, Microsoft access database file. I want to connect to oracle database from visual basic 2010 express edition. So what drivers are required and how to do connectivity?

I wasn't clear on what you were using to make the connection. I had a look in Visual Studio 2010 (don't have express to test sorry).
I think you mean the Data Sources available under the menu Data-> Datasources. this seems to match the description you give when I
look at the list of datasource options.
In here you can make ODBC connections via the Microsoft .net Data Provider .
If you select ODBC as a datasource you can see listed the DSN's you created - for example I see 2 which use the Oracle ODBC driver.
This assumes you installed an Oracle Client + the oracle version of the ODBC driver (comes with the oracle client).
Once you created a server connection then you should see it in the server explorer.
You can also download the Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio which is an add on for VS.
** I suspect this is only for VS 2010 and I didn't see that Express was supported.

Welcome to the MSDN Forum.
As far as I know, Visual Studio 2010 is compatible with Windows 7 SP1. I think this issue might related with the Visual Studio install media. I recommand you download Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate from
this link, and follow the steps below to install it:
Before install Visual Studio, please finish the steps below first:
Turn off your anti-virus/antispyware software during installation;
Install the latest Windows updates from the Windows Update site:
http://update.microsoft.com;
Complete or dismiss Windows Update before installation. (And don't forget to turn it on later);
Clean your %temp% folder (Start Menu >> Run >> Type "%temp% >> OK);
Run the setup with Administrator privilege: right-click the installer -> Run as administrator
If the installation still failed, please collect the installation log files from "%temp%" folder with the
Log Collection Tool.
Send the vslogs.cab file in the %temp% folder to me for further analyze(E-mail: v-anwu_at_microsoft_dot_com). Note: Please attach the link of this post in the mail.

I had the identical problem. I still don't know how to sync the tasks, but here's how I did the contacts and calendar:
1. Connect the 4s to the computer.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Click the iPhone box in the upper right corner.
4. Click on the info tab.
5. Hit the checkbox Sync Contacts with... and choose Outlook from the dropdown box.
6. Ditto for Calendars.
7. Hit Apply.
My problem was that originally, I wasn't getting the checkboxes. I turned off the iCloud settings on the 4s. That did the trick.

What, specifically do you mean by "having trouble"? What kind of computer are you using, Mac or Windows? Do you have the latest verstion of iTunes installed? What error messages are you seeing? Have you turned off any antivirus software?

New install of VC++ 2010 Express won't open files or projects

I'm resuming some work that I set aside four years ago. I just installed and registered the free version of Visual C++ 2010 Express on a new machine running Windows 7. I can create and run a new HelloWorld C++ Win32 project, no
problem. But when I try to open either a file or a project, I get no file browser window. By double-clicking a VC2005 project in File Browser I get the file conversion okay. It's just opening files or projects--no file browser dialog.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled the IDE and rebooted Win7.
Is there some way I can get this solved?

Based on your issue, could you please tell me what version of VS express you install on the Windows 7, is it a windows desktop version or other version?
Please tell me what kind of file or project you try to open them in the VS2010 Express on the Windows 7.
Since the different VS Express is support the different projects type, so please you ensure that there have the template of file or project which you want to open in the VS2010 Express.

Generally, I know that since the VS has the backward compatibility feature, so we can open the file or project by going to FILE->Open->Project/Solution or File....

Visual Studio installation do not depends on Microsoft Office 2013. They do not have relationship here. I think your problem is that you cannot find the link to install Visual Studio 2010.

The mainstream support for Visual Studio 2010 is already expired and that is why you cannot open any link about Visual Studio 2010 Setup.(I cannot verify whether that link is about VS2010 Setup.)
I think you need to think about the following:
1. If you need Visual Studio 2010, you may have to consider some other channels. For example, official site you can try use MSDN Subscription. For non-official site. Sorry I cannot provide any place for you
2. You can use other latest version of Visual Studio, for example, we have Visual Studio 2012, 2013, 2015 for you to use. You can also use Visual Studio Express 2010 version. It is still available for download.

Having trouble installing Photoshop Elements 13. [was: I wonder if somehow I might have went to Creative cloud because something crossed my screen, but I am not used to doing this so]

I could really use Customer Service help. I received Photoshop Elements as a gift for Christmas...I waiting until i got a new laptop so that I could use that as i was having trouble with older computer. However, I am having trouble installing the software...I swear the dvd added the programs, and I saw them in files explorer i think, but then I cannot find or I was not even able to add the serial number to my knowledge, because it was blank...no keystrokes were shown...and i don't see the program anywhere...Could I have down something wrong and it is somewhere in the cloud?

There is no one that I see how to start using the program as I must sign
in. However, I have never been able to get the number to your firm. Or get
the correct number... I think I clicked on a learning tutorial or browsed
Adobe's website to learn more, but got caught up in all the details.
I never uninstalled virus protection to run it because I thought that it
would ask. I'll try again tomorrow I am frustrated. Thank you for your
patience. I appreciate it totally. It's really sad cause I really wanted to
create. I have wanted this for a very long time and I can't believe how
difficult this has been. It would be really nice to know what is really
wrong. I must not be seeing something or I've done something.
