Having trouble listening to podcast......suddenly

can anyone help?
after listening to a podcast daily, suddenly i get the following prompt when trying to download the last show, or any show for that matter:
"There was a problem downoading "FTL2006-03-07". You do not have any access privileges for this operation.
Please check that the URL is correct and the connection to the network is active and try again."
Well, the URL is correct, for I unsubscribed and resubscribed to the podcast. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm still waiting on btabz for some help with another problem that unfortunately, he made worse...sorry.

I was never having a direct conversation with you and never learned the specifics of the problem. My messages were replies to someone named csshawke. That's why it is better to create your own thread, to try to keep everything nice, organized, and working No worries though
Do you know where the iTunes Music Library.xml file is? Not what your iTunes library looks like or what is in it, but where that file is? Your music is still on your computer, iTunes just isn't showing it. Just, do you know where that file is? That file tells iTunes where to look. If you have it, you are fine.

Thanx for your response and commenting on our homepage. I wasn't aware of the problems you mentioned. However it has ranked on the first page of Google, etc for 20 years, so that's not my concern at this point.
The 2 most immediate things are getting rid of the A"s showing up on the table on oilfiltercrushers/truck_ofc.aspx and on /defaultnew.aspx , (the intended home page when I get it fixed,) I get a server error highlighting line 293
&nsp;
. Im not sure what to do about that...

Whenever I listen to my enhanced podcasts through iTunes, I have no problems viewing the photos the podcaster included in the program. However, when I play the same podcast in my iPod, the photos will not show. I only see the timeline with the little segments that represent the chapters. I can hit the forward and back arrows and I am taken the to the next chapter marker. But, unfortunately, I do not see the photos, as I do see them in iTunes.
Can anyone help me adjust my iPod to enable it to play enhanced podcasts correctly?
According to the iPod manuals, I should be able to see enhanced podcasts with no trouble.

I have solved it myself. Here's how I did it:
In iTunes, go to Edit and click to Show Art Work and leave it as "Hide Art Work." (Now it will download the enhanced messages.)
Now go to the iPod: From the Main Menu, go to Settings. At the Settings, go to the other Main Menu. From this Main Menu, go to Music and make sure that the following are on:
Playlists, Photos, and Photo Import, Videos, and Extras.

This forum is a user-to-user forum - it always has been. It is designed so that we users can help each other.
You have to remember that sometimes an entire thread can be wrong. Perhaps the people posting about Podcast problems are wrong. Certainly, there is one thread that has been going on for some time, but the people with the problem seem reluctant to try any suggestions put forward to them, especially if the suggestion includes the thought that Apple may not be the cause of the problem. I use Podcasts all the time and rarely have any problems.
Apple (by the way) is not the cause of every single known problem in the universe!
That said, if you have a problem with Podcasts, why not tell us here and we'll see if anyone can help you?

From the main screen click on Videos then video podcasts in the next screen. This should display the videos. To listen to audio podcasts just go through the music podcast meneu.

Having trouble updating my podcast

I created my podcast last week, and the first episode is available since my podcast was verified. But now I added an "item" in my rss feed 5 days ago, and nothing chaged in my podcast. The new episode is available in the rss feed but not on iTunes, what should I do

You've changed the URL of your feed and iTunes cannot find the feed registered with it. It's looking for

and your feed is now sitting at

You have changed the name of the folder from inside3 to Inside3 and you need to change it back.

Having trouble download certain podcasts

I am trying to download "The Adam Carolla Podcast" but when i click download a little orange circle appears and the downloads section pops up for a split second and then stops without download a single kb. I have no problems downloading any other podcasts or apps, just this one. Can someone please help me?

If you look in your iTunes Library (under Podcasts) does the show appear, but with an exclamation mark beside it? If so, click the exclamation mark for an explanation of the error.
One thing though, I had a look at this Podcast in the iTunes Store - every episode is marked "explicit" and even one of the customer reviews mentions the profanities. Does your iTunes have the *Parental Control* set to Disable/Podcasts? You can check for this in your iTunes, go to Edit/Preferences and click on the *Parental Control* tab. Look at the *Disable: Podacsts,* is there a tick in the box? If so, that's the problem.
You don't mention your age, (and why should you ) but if you are a minor and your parent has set this +and turned on the lock to prevent further changes+ there's probably not much you can do.

Anyone know why I am having trouble listening to my local radio station?

Why can't I connect to my local radio station on the web anymore? This just started in the last week. I used to just find the radio station on the web, click on the "Listen" button, and the connection would appear in my iTunes Internet Songs playlist. I don't think anything has changed at the radio station, I'm guessing something with my iTunes or OS software. I upgraded to Mac OS X 10.7.5 recently.

Apple menu / System Preferences / Network.
Click Location: and select Edit Locations..
Click + (plus sign), and enter a name for the new location - anything will do.
Apply this.

Having trouble listening to music while using Photoshop

Excuse me, I have a problem. I use a Bamboo Pen & Touch tablet on Photoshop Elements 8 and when I listen to audio (Youtube, ITunes, Grooveshark, even Skype!) and press my pen down, it stops until I lift it. It doesn't even have to be my pen! I can click my mouse and it will pause. I have searched all over for an answer but haven't found one. This is starting to annoy me. I don't understand how to solve my problem. I don't know if it's my tablet, or Photoshop. Can anyone please help me?

I have simliar problem, but yet not exactly the same.
My photoshop tends to lag, and stop working or my music/audio would lag in the song and tend to repeat the same line of the song over and over again.

What kind of program do you use for audio, because the larger the memory is used up the slower computer goes.
And photoshop uses a lot of memories, just keep that in mind.
Try using different media player and see if the same result happens.
When using the mouse, audio freezes too, that means theres nothing wrong with the tablet.
But if switching the media player the same result happens, i suggest you to check the computer for viruses or something like that, just saying.
Because that's all i can think of for reasons from my own experience.

Having trouble listening and writing to a socket

I might as well just post my classes. What I really need is a comprehensive guide to reading and writing to a socket. The sockets aren't being printed, and I know it's because they hang on the "readline()" statements in the netcheck functions. Why do they hang?

Everything's fine now - works great. BTW, do you guys
reccomend keeping a socket, or just creating a new
one every time you want to send information?Now why would you want to create a new Socket everytime.From the server once a Sockets bounds to the port you stick by it receive the desired clients.From the client side once a socket establishes a connection with the other host you can keep that socket alive till you carry out the task that you want to and then once you are through close the connection.

Have you noticed the volume box in the bottom right corner of the video screen. You might have turned it down or muted it before and a cookie might have kept it that way.
Or
It could be due to slow connection or high traffic. Try watching it during off peak hours, the sound play will probably play better.
Or
You could watch it offline, try using 'zillatube'. It plays the video much smoother and better.
It works very well....just google search for "zillatube", and select the first search result for download.

TS1362 I am having trouble playing imported cds. The tracks keep sticking which is a bit like buffering is this a common problem and can i rectify it.

If <alanfromnewtownards> fix fails to address the issue - turn off iMessage and Facetime in Settings. Settings\iMessage, and Settings\facetime.
Sync by cable to iTunes.
Leave cable connected, open Settings\iCloud and ensure at least Mail is on and dsplays your Apple iD email - then turn iMessage and Facetime back on. Ensure that in the ISettings...\iMessage...\Facetime page that the Receive at field and Receive video calls at email address is the same address as your Apple I.D.
Resync when finished.
If still having problems with Facetime then check that the required port is open - allowing traffic in your router.

In some cases you may need to turn on Port forwarding and open the port manually to allow traffic through. See your router documentation for details.
If having problems verifying, open iTunes store App on your pad. at bottom of page, click on your ID and sign in. Go to your Account details (re-veryfying and answering security questions may be required to do this) - check all details are correct.
Finally right click your device icon in iTunes and select Reset warnings. resync when finished.

Trouble downloading video podcast

anybody else having trouble downloading video podcasts of the RNC? The DNC podcasts are downloading fine, but the RNC are not! anybody know why this is?

I downloaded your files and I couldn't get them to play either. iTunes won't play them and Quicktime just says it's a file that quicktime doesn't understand. Both files will have to be converted to ipod/itunes compatibility formats and reloaded to your server before they can be viewed.

but if you're like me you want the easy solution.
iSquint is an easy shareware solution to convert files to ipod ready format that can then be loaded to the ITMS. It's found at http://www.isquint.org/
it's a great program, I use it weekly for my own church.

One day I turned my laptop on and it connected no problem. Now it has kicked me off again. I tried resetting my IP address but that does not work either! Has anyone had this problem?
