If you don't see mirroring options
If your Mac and Apple TV are on the same network, but no AirPlay Mirroring menu appears, your Apple TV may be asleep. Simply press a button on your Apple TV remote to wake it up. After a few seconds, the AirPlay Mirroring menu extra appears. If you still don't see the options you expect, make sure your Apple TV has the currentsoftware update installed. Also make sure that you have the "Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available" option selected in the Displays pane of System Preferences.

Have you updated your video card driver from the GPU maker's website?
The drivers that shipped with Win 8 are pretty out of date (and buggy).

I have 5.2 GB of available space on my iPad (4th generation) and I have only used 7.1 GB on my 16GB ipad. I have a full two bars of Internet. You might try just waiting. There are millions of people activating their iPhones today and people still trying to get iOS8, so the servers are swamped. I'd give it a couple of days and if it still doesn't work then try some troubleshooting.

I recently bought a new car that offers handsfree calling with a paired bluetooth phone. I had no problems pairing my phone, but I cannot make a call using the hands free speaker option. My contacts are all loaded into the car, but I can still not call hands free. Is there a setting that I can change on my phone to fix this prolem?

Consult the manual for your car or contact your dealer. There are no settings to change on the phone. If it's paired, connected, and the contacts are showing up on the in-car system, it's up to the in car system to do the rest.

I have a photo with 25 faces. I have named 17 with no problem but the remaining 8 names I am unable to make them stick. I go through the process (have done it thousands of times) and no luck. I have shut down the computer, I have unplugged it, I have turned iPhoto off and nothing will allow me to name these remaining photos. I type in the name and click RETURN and the name holds, I close the photo and bring it back and the name is gone. I have done this dozen of times - still no luck. I have a few other photos of groups and the same thing is happening with just a few of the faces. All the faces are clear, same size and no different in clarity than the other faces. I have tried changing the size of the "box" around the photo to name it - still no luck.
I am on the ground floor so I can not throw the computer out the window.

Im wondering why my post hasn't been answered yet. I did file a report with the BBB and I had a rude representative from Verizon call me named Steve. He said I can file all of the reports I want and I will just keep getting calls from him. I can understand why my phone couldn't be replaced because of the small crack. I guess I have to eat that one (but it sucks because the lollipop update is what caused the problems) but what about all of the data overage I had to pay for for trying to fix this phone because of a lollipop update. For the last 2 days I have been unable to connect to the AppStore or iTunes via either my iPhone/iPad or MacBook over wifi.

I have spoken to my ISP (Sky) and they haven't got a clue.
I cannot connect to iTunes/AppStore on any of my 3 devices (iPhone/iPad/MacBook) when connected to my home broadband yet I have no issues over 3G on my iPhone.
I also cannot play YouTube videos on iPhone/iPad via the app or the website but have no issues on my MacBook. I have done all of the usual things like rebooted devices, reset network setting and all settings. I would restore but that isn't going to go so well if my MacBook won't talk to iTunes is it?
In all my years I have never had an issue like this before, it HAS to be down to my ISP right?
Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated, thanks.

I have a whole bunch of .mov and .avi files that I could read before I upgraded to a new MacBook Pro. The support from Apple is sketchy here and merely tells me that I don't have the correct codec. Where do I go to get the codec I need.

My phone is in bluetooth when I try to add a phone, but I can't find instructions on how to put in the PIN number to activate sync. in the truck. It is supposed to be simple. THe people @ Verizon told me they can't help. Can you give me the instructions? THey are not in the manual. OR do I have to go to Ford and have them sync. it for me for a fee, I am sure. When the dealership sync'd by Blackberry, it was free, but that is because I just bought a new truck. HELP!

You need to get the owner's manual for your Ford's bluetooth system to see how to put your system into discovery mode for the iPhone as well as the appropriate steps to take.
In addition, you should see if the iPhone is supported.

I originally installed Itunes with dial up but now have a high speed connection and I can no longer connect to the store

I have not been able to connect to the store to update, restore, download apps, or anything . I just get a connection error. I have turned off my firewall, added all the apple locations to my trusted sites, deleted the original dial up connection, and nothing seems to work. Does anyone know if iTunes is looking for that orginal path to the store?

Some clarification may help.
You say you cannot boot normally. It shows a gray screen with the Apple logo.
Did you say it will boot successfully in Safe Mode (boot, then hold down the Shift key)?
How did you boot the machine to run Disk Utility? (Which keyboard combinations)?

Cellular calling doesn't yet work reliably.
Make sure you've followed the instructions in this support article. Note that both iCloud and FaceTime on the Mac must be signed in to the same Apple ID; those are two separate steps. Also note that the Mac and the phone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Ethernet won't work. Trying to pair the phone to the Mac as a Bluetooth device won't work either.
If cellular calling still doesn't work, sign out of FaceTime and sign back in. You may have to do the same on the phone. The email address that you use as your Apple ID must be able to receive FaceTime calls.
