Having trouble re-installing premiere 6.0

I've had it installed on one computer for 5 years or so, and I tried to burn the program onto a cd to install on my other computer, since I've misplaced the original disc. The cd works and the program shows up but I am unable to install it. I dragged and dropped it from the cd to the desktop and the program will open normally, but my camera won't connect. I also had to install the firewire adapter into my hard drive. I was thinking either I didn't burn the cd correctly or premiere 6.0 isn't compatible with Windows Vista, since my other computer was Windows XP. Would someone be able to help me out?

The only way to have an install program is to have made a copy of the original disc
Writing the Premiere directory to a CD does not have the install program, because it has already been installed
I just do not see any way for you to install something from a copied program directory

Can you count the beeps or flashes?
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)
5 beeps = processor is not usable
In addition to the beeps, on some computers the power LED will flash a corresponding number of times plus one. The LED will repeat the sequence after approximately a 5-second pause. The tones are only played once.
Note: In this case, a flash is considered to be 1/4 second or 250 ms or greater in length.

I have a 27" imac (intel) my hard drive failed and I installed a new one. This is my first time dealing with this so I am having trouble re-installing the OS. Install disc spits out and ? mark with folder appears what am I missing?

Like the title says. My 1 TB drive failed and unfortunately my computer isn't covered on the replacement program even though my hard drive is the one they are claiming to replace. So that is not a solution just to get that out of the way. So I replaced the hard drive. What I am having trouble with is re-installing my OS. I have 10.6. When I load it and restart it just spits it out and I get the question mark folder. What am I doing wrong is there a step I'm missing? I did do a back up to my Time Machine before the crash. Can I plug it into it and reload format? I'm new to this so any help would be appreciated.

Well, let's hope that nothing was jiggled out of place when you were installing the new hard drive. Your optical drive may just be out of alignment or the disc you have is "dirty." Get a lint-free cloth and some rubbing alcohol, then clean the disc as thoroughly as you can starting from the center and working outward in a concentric circlular motion. See if that helps. In particular clean the inner portion well.
If this does not help, then you have a problem. You have opened the computer yourself. That action voids all support from Apple. If you take the computer in for service the store may refuse to service the computer. This is not related to your now expired warranty.

I am having trouble installing updates. I checked the windowsupdate.log file and I see:

In reading others' posts, I noticed in their logs contain "DeploymentAction=Install" .. could this potentially be the issue why it will not install the update?   If so, where does this get set at so I can modify it? I looked around
but was not able to find this setting.

WindowsUpdate.log. Please look at the last 4 lines of this log listed below -- looks like it is looking for approval or "WARNING: There are no approved updates to install". Where is this coming from? Is this

Having trouble re-installing adobe Premiere elements

So I got my first new computer in six years, and bought adobe premiere elements 13. I signed up for adobe, got it all sorted and then my brand new computer blue screened. I got it wiped and exchanged at best buy, but now I can't re-install it! I have the instillation code, but I am always told that it is invalid despite triple checking and trying across multiple days; so I can't get a serial number. Additionally the product does not show up in my account for some reason. I was also told that I can install each product on two computers... This was bought brand new in plastic wrap at best buy, and only ever transferred onto my one, broken computer, so why is it already maxed out?
And if I have this many problems so soon, I am definitely not paying premium for phone support! So do I even have options, or did I just waste $80?

If you bought the software at Best Buy then the chances are you received a redemption code with it rather than a serial number. That redemption code is used once (only once) to acquire the serial number for your software. If you had the software installed and activated on the original machine before it blue-screened then the serial number you used for that is the serial number you need... it is tied to your license for its lifetime. If you did not deactivate the original installation due to not being able to, then there is at least one activation that is sitting in limbo. You need to contact Adobe Support thru chat or phone to get the activations reset to regain it. If you did not register your product with Adobe then it is not likely to be listed under your account.
You can always try contacting Best Buy to see if they can provide a new redemption code.

I was having a bunch of trouble once I updated iTunes to 10. iTunes/apple mobile was taking up 100% of my CPU and making my pc SLOW! I uninstalled all things "Apple", ran a cache cleaner, rebooted and downloaded iTunes again. Now I am getting an error when I try to install it saying " There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." What does that mean? Any ideas on how to fix this? I really need to sync my iPhone!

I started having this problem when i found a wheel group hiding as my Guest User account. I have not been able to access root,su,sudo or anything. It's hides itself in the form of "Network". I have removed all my partitions, did a 7 times secure erase, no matter what i do it seems to find it's way into a new install.. On Win7 open Control Panel > Network and Internet > Homegroup and if you are set to a Homegroup, select to leave it.
Still in Control Panel > Network and Internet select Network and Sharing Center and check that you are using a Home or Work network profile. If it is set to Public, change it to Home. And then in the left sidebar, select "Change advanced sharing settings". For the Home or Work profile, ensure that network discovery and file and printer sharing is enabled.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)

I had the same problem, and whether you run or save when downloading it would stop at 76%. After 2 days of defragging, updating virus software, checking my registry and everything else I can think of I finally called support. Go to www.filehippo.com and download itunes from there.

Having trouble with installing Flash

As far as I know, Visual Studio 2010 is compatible with Windows 7 SP1. I think this issue might related with the Visual Studio install media. I recommand you download Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate from
this link, and follow the steps below to install it:
Before install Visual Studio, please finish the steps below first:
Turn off your anti-virus/antispyware software during installation;
Install the latest Windows updates from the Windows Update site:
http://update.microsoft.com;
Complete or dismiss Windows Update before installation. (And don't forget to turn it on later);
Clean your %temp% folder (Start Menu >> Run >> Type "%temp% >> OK);
Run the setup with Administrator privilege: right-click the installer -> Run as administrator
If the installation still failed, please collect the installation log files from "%temp%" folder with the
Log Collection Tool.
Send the vslogs.cab file in the %temp% folder to me for further analyze(E-mail: v-anwu_at_microsoft_dot_com). Note: Please attach the link of this post in the mail.
