Having trouble using my airport extreme as a media server for my ps3--can anyone help?
I'd like to set up my apple airport extreme with a USB seagate drive, and use the drive as a media server for my ps3. I have successfully connected my seagate drive to my airport extreme. I have successfully transferred a sample movie to this seagate drive. My laptop is easily able to find the drive and is able to play the sample film from the drive. How can I turn this drive into a media server? I'd like for my PS3 to be able to read movies off the network drive and play them. Help??

If you have a non-Apple device as your main router, unfortunately the AirPort Extreme has almost no chance of compatibility with your main router.
If you do have an Apple router as your main device, please post back with your model number and we'll let you know how your devices should be configured.
If you don't have an Apple device as your main router you have a few options to connect the xbox:
1) A pair of ethernet powerline adapters could be used if you did not want to run a regular ethernet cable from your main router to the xbox.
2) The new AirPort Express 802.11n model does have a feature called Proxy STA which should allow it to receive a wireless signal from any wireless router and allow the ethernet port to be enabled.

Quickest way is to drag a clip into the New Item icon (left bottom corner Project window)

This is likely because you have the AirPort Extreme connected to a modem/router, or gateway device.....and not a simple modem. Can you provide the make and model number of your "modem", as we previously asked?

YES! I am having a lot of AppStore problems since iOS 6. My 2 main issues are:
1. AppStore crashes constantly or will just sit & spin then does nothing at all.
2. If I search for a specific App, making sure my spelling is correct, AppStore will NOT bring the app up. Instead, it will bring up unrelated apps.
Podcasts app does the same thing, as well as jumbling up dates. Very impossible to find the correct episode.
APPLE, please tell me you are reading this and that a fix is quickly under way!! -
I just bought a new iMac and am having troubles downloading creative cloud installer. Its coming up with error 214 - I can't find any solutions for this. Can anyone help me? Im on mac OS 10.9.4

TurboTax this year requires OS X 10.6.8 as the minimum operating system. It also requires the system be running in 64bit mode with OS X 10.6.8.
You can purchase OS X 10.6 from the Apple online store by calling them at 800-MY-APPLE, or you can order it online too. Install, run software update until no more updates are available, and you'll be at OS X 10.6.8.

Having trouble setting up Airport Extreme Base Sation
Hi,
I'm new to a wireless set up for my Mac.
Initially I tried to set up entering various passwords along the way and discovered my cables were not connected correctly - I rectified this and tried again.
I was then encouraged to proceed via Bridge mode which I did and eventually got a confirmation that set up was complete. However my light on the Airport Extreme went from solid green to a slow amber flash and I was made aware of 2 problems by AirPort utility 1) Your Apple Wi-Fi base station does not have a valid IP address 2) This Apple Wi-Fi base station doesn't have any DNS server addresses and might have trouble connecting to the internet
Despite this I am connected wirelessly to the internet and so wondered how, or if I need to, solve these two problems?

I skipped the problems and updated anyway - It then came back with the 2nd problem and a few moments later said this was resolved. I still had amber light but after starting AirPort Utility a couple of times I eventually got a solid green light and no reported problems.
