Having trouble when creating links

Good afternoon,
I use RoboHelp6 HTML, and i'm using the FlashHelp as the
output layout.
When I work on a topic in the WYSIWYG Editor, I try to create
links between a Word document or even a webpage that I have created
from the Word document.
When I go to click on the link that I have created in the
topic it shows that I have created a link but I can't actually
visualize the link.
When I go to generate the project, and see if the link works
from there. It doesn't even show the letter in blue or something to
show that there is a link attached.
Can somebody please tell me how to create links step by step?
Thanks,

Hi there
Woooowwww, that's some long path! Do you really have that
many folder levels? ../ is shorthand that says Up One Folder. So in
this case, you have a page attempting to link seven folder levels
above where it lives. I don't suppose there is any way to screen
capture your folder structure for this project and post to an image
sharing site. Here is one:

    I am having troubles, when I open LR I get a message that there is an error and it will try to fix the error next time it opens. LR closes on it's own, I reopen it and get that same message next time it opens, and this is going on and on where I can not use LR, any suggestions? If I click on a different set of photos in the libary before I get that message I might or might not get the message next time it oipens, but I still can not get to those photos, and it is not just one or two but most of my photos. HELP!!!!
    Thanks

    The first thing I would suggest is for you to go to the folder containing your catalog, using your system browser. There will be a folder that has the extension .lrdata. Delete that folder, and then try to start Lightroom. If that doesn't work, replace your catalog with your most recent backup.

    I'm working in Photoshop CS6 on a Mac and am having trouble when I select a Path it automatically feathers the selection border. I can't seem to find any place to adjust a feather setting. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm using paths to silhouette an image on a photograph to use in another document and I need a hard edge on it, not a feathered one.

    In the Paths panel, click the flyout menu (in the top right of the panel) and choose Make Selection (this option will only be available if you have a path selected). Reduce the Feather Radius to 0 (zero) and click OK. This setting will be the default even when clicking the Load Path as Selection button.

  • Anyone having trouble finding Quick Links to download OS X when license purchased?

    Purchased 2 licenses for Mountain Lion.  Got an email back with directions to do this: To install your software, you simply launch the Mac App Store, click “Redeem” found under Quick Links and enter your content code(s). The content codes from your purchase are included in the PDF document provided with this email.
    When I log into the App Store, I don't see anything that says Quick Link on any menu.  Anyone know where it is?  Thanks!

  • Having trouble with creating objects from instances created with ClassLoade

    Hi.
    I'm having a bit of trouble with casting an instance of an object from a custom ClassLoader. Don't worry - the code isn't for anything sinister - it's for one of those life simulation thingies, but I want to make it modular so people can write their own 'viruses' which compete for survival. You know the score.
    Anyway. I've got the beginnings of my main class, which seems to load the class data for all 'virus' classes in a folder called 'strains'. There is a abstract class called AbstractVirus which declares the method calls for how the viruses should behave and to get textual descriptions, etc. AbstractVirus is to be subclassed to create working virus classes and these are what my main class is trying to load instances of.
    Unfortuantely, I can't cast the instances into AbstractVirus objects. The error I've been getting is 'ClassCastException' which I presume is something to do with the fact that my ClassLoader and the Bootstrap ClassLoader aren't seeing eye-to-eye with the class types. Can anyone help? This line of programming is really new to me.
    My code for the main class is below:
    /* LifeSim.java */
    public class LifeSim {
      public LifeSim() {
        /* Get a list of all classes in the 'strains' directory and store non-
         * abstract classes in an array. */
        Class virusClasses[] = null;
        try {
          /* Get a reference to the file folder 'strains' and make sure I can read
           * from it. */
          java.io.File modulesFolder = new java.io.File("strains");
          if (!modulesFolder.isDirectory() || !modulesFolder.canRead()) {
         System.out.println("Failed to find accessible 'strains' folder");
         System.exit(-1);
          /* Get a list of all the class files in the folder. */
          String virusFiles[] = modulesFolder.list(new ClassFileFilter());
          if (virusFiles.length == 0) {
         System.out.println("No virus strains in 'strains' folder");
         System.exit(-1);
          /* Create an array of class objects to store my Virus classes. Ignore the
           * abstract class as I cannot instantiate objects directly from it.*/
          virusClasses = new Class[virusFiles.length];
          VirusClassLoader classLoader = new VirusClassLoader();
          int j = 0;
          for (int i = 0; i < virusFiles.length; i++) {
         String virusName = "strains/" + virusFiles;
         Class tempClass = classLoader.loadClass(virusName);
         if (tempClass.getName().compareToIgnoreCase("strains.AbstractVirus") != 0) {
         virusClasses[j++] = tempClass;
    } catch (ClassNotFoundException ncfe) {
    System.out.println("Failed to access virus class files.");
    ncfe.printStackTrace();
    System.exit(-1);
    /* TEST CODE: Create an instance of the first virus and print its class
    * name and print details taken from methods defined in the AbstractVirus
    * class. */
    if (virusClasses.length > 0) {
    try {
         // Print the class name
         System.out.println(virusClasses[0].getName());
         Object o = virusClasses[0].newInstance();
         strains.AbstractVirus av = (strains.AbstractVirus) o;
         // Print the virus name and it's description
         System.out.println(av.getQualifiedName());
         System.out.println(av.getDescription());
    } catch (InstantiationException ie) { ie.printStackTrace(); }
         catch (IllegalAccessException iae) { iae.printStackTrace(); }
    public static void main(String args[]) {
    new LifeSim();
    class ClassFileFilter implements java.io.FilenameFilter {
    public boolean accept(java.io.File fileFolder, String fileName) {
    if (_fileName.indexOf(".class") > 0) return true;
    return false;

    java.io.File sourcefile = new java.io.File(filename);
    legalClassName = "strains." + sourcefile.getName().substring(0,sourcefile.getName().indexOf("."));
    java.io.FileInputStream fis = new java.io.FileInputStream(sourcefile);
    byte classbytes[] = new byte[fis.available()];
    fis.read(classbytes);
    fis.close();
    return classbytes;
    } catch (java.io.IOException ioex) {
    return null;
    public Class findClass(String classname) throws ClassNotFoundException {
    byte classbytes[] = findClassData(classname);
    if (classbytes == null) throw new ClassNotFoundException();
    else {
    return defineClass(legalClassName, classbytes, 0, classbytes.length);
    Thank you in advance
    Morgan

    Two things:
    I think your custom ClassLoader isn't delegating. In general a ClassLoader should begin by asking it's parent ClassLoader to get a class, and only if the parent loader fails get it itself. AFAIKS you could do what you're trying to do more easilly with URLClassLoader.
    Second, beware that a java source file can, and often does, generate more than one class file. Ignore any class files whose names contain a $ character. It's possible you are loading an internal class which doesn't extend your abstract class.

  • Problems with encoding when creating link in mail

    A user inputs some text in a field at a webpage.
    From this I build a mail that has a link that looks like this:
    http://www.domain.com/a/controller/action/?name=[INPUT VALUE]
    My problem is that when I try to get the value in the receiving action, using params.name, it does not so good. The real problem is about odd characters like our swedish ,, for example.
    What I have tried to do when building the link is to use URLEncoder.encode([INPUT VALUE], 'UTF-8') and then using URLDecoder.decode(params.name, 'UTF-8') but it does not work at all. Is there any other way I should attack this problem?

    def name = "Mattias Sandster";
    def email = params.email;
    name = URLEncoder.encode(name, 'UTF-8');
    println(name)
    def message = http://domain.com/a/b/download/?name=" + name
    MailSender.sendMail(email, "Subject", message);{code}
    {code}def download = {
    println(params.name)
    println("download after decode" + URLDecoder.decode(params.name, 'UTF-8')){code}
    The first println looks fine, it says Mattias+Sands%C3%A4er
    The second println looks horrible, Mattias Sandster
    The third looks the same.
    Then I send this to my gsp(jsp) page and wants to put this in a standard textfield, but it of course looks like Mattias Sandster there too.
    This is on a linux-server, on my local computer, everything works as expected.
    Whatever it its, something happens to the name-variable when it is clicked on in the e-mail. It looks good in the e-mail, get pasted in the address-field in the browser correctly, but when retreiving the variable with params.name it is screwed

  • Having trouble when I save a document

    Everytime I save a document and I try to open it again it automatically tries to do so with Word. I have changed the application by default to open pages docs with pages and it still opnes with Word. It won't even show the preview when I use space bar it just shows the pages symbol (little ink bottle)
    The docs I created with pages 2008 do have a preview option and open properly with pages.
    Any ideas?

    If you want to open the documents with Pages, this one must be the first item in the list, not the second one.
    And don't forget to click the "Change All" button .

  • I am having trouble when I try opening firefox - it only "flickers" on screen and won't stay open - keeps trying to "re-open" over and over!

    When I try to open Firefox I get a small screen saying it is "checking compatibility of add-ons" (or something like that) which alternates with a quickly flashing window of Firefox. Neither one really stays open long enough to get a look at what is being displayed.
    I had an earlier version installed which I thought might have been the problem. I uninstalled that version and today installed the updated version - still having the same problem! Any ideas?

    Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox and any leftover program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps one by one:
    #Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
    #After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu) and confirm all upcoming messages.
    #Now, uninstall Firefox by following the steps mentioned in the [[Uninstall Firefox from your computer#w_uninstall-firefox|Uninstall Firefox]] article.
    '''IMPORTANT:''' On Windows, the uninstaller has the option to remove your personal data and settings. Make sure that you do '''not''' check this option; otherwise all of your bookmarks, passwords, extensions, user customizations and other Firefox [[Profiles|user profile data]] will be removed from your computer.
    After uninstalling Firefox on Windows, delete the "Mozilla Firefox" program folder, located by default in one of these locations:
    * '''(On 32-bit Windows)''' ''C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox''
    * '''(On 64-bit Windows)''' ''C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox''
    #Go to the Windows Start menu and click on "Computer".
    #In the Explorer window that opens, double click Local Disk (C:) to open the C:\ drive.
    #Find the "Program Files (x86)" folder or "Program Files" folder.
    #* On 32-bit Windows, double-click the '''Program Files''' folder to open it.
    #* On 64-bit Windows, you will see a "Program Files (x86)" folder AND a "Program Files" folder. Open the '''Program Files (x86)''' folder.
    #Look for a '''Mozilla Firefox''' folder. If you find one, right-click it and select ''Delete'' and confirm that you want to move the folder to the Recycle Bin.
    Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
    #Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
    #Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
    Please report back to see if this helped you!

  • Trouble when creating webservice from PL/SQL via jdeveloper

    Hi,I'm new comer of this world,
    I've a pl/sql like this:
    package MY_WS_API is
    type record_set is ref cursor;
    PROCEDURE Get_User_Info(p_user_id VARCHAR2,
    p_rep_id VARCHAR2,
    p_flag out number,
    p_msg out varchar2,
    p_recordset out record_set);
    end MY_WS_API;
    when I using jdeveloper trying to publish it as a webservice, in the step 4 of the wizzard poping me choose the program unit to expose, the PROCEDURE Get_User_Info is not available and told me "Ref cursor Type is not supported due to a jdbc limitation and Ref Cursor Types are only supported for use of return type".
    THE QUESTION is:
    1.the cursor I used is of return type,I'm not very understanding the "why not" message upon.
    2.in such case , need I trans the return cursor into Object[] if have to?
    3.any other limitation for generating WS from PL/SQL using jdeveloper?
    Thanks!

    I had the same problem and found that JDeveloper uses the thin driver to connect to oracle, this driver doesn't support ref cursors or xmltypes etc. You have to assemble your own web service using the webservicesassembler command line utility (i.e. wsa.jar). This link should provide you with all you need:
