Having trouble with 5G 30G ipod
hi.. please i really need help with this.. when i try to add songs to my video ipod it just stops (sometimes after 300 songs have been loaded other times after 500), but it justs stops and a message appears saying there has been an error when loading up songs to the ipod.. then it just blocks and when i try it there are no songs on it.. its just blank..i have tried reinstalling itunes.. restoring ipod a few times but it justs happens again and again.. so i need help what could it be? could it be something with the usb ports (Ive tried all the usb ports the pc has already), or something with the hardware of the pc, or with the hardware of the ipod.. pleasee help me!! anyone has this problem also??

Are you on the latest software?

iPod Updater - Version 1.1.1
If so, try restoring again. If after a few more restores, you're still experiencing an issue, try synching your iPod to a friend's/relative's computer. If that works, it's obviously your computer. If not, your iPod may need service.

You can sync/manually mange iphone with one and only one computer. If you sync/manually mange to anther, then it will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.

Hi, i'm having trouble with syncing my iPod. (after the latest iTunes-update)
It's a classic, but I have no idea what generation... but it was bought in early 08, and have 80gb. Anyway, it has been working fine all the time, but by the latest iTunes-update, it has stopped working. (mac) Every time I try to connect it with my computer, iTunes says that "this iPod appears to be destroyed, try to restore" (I'm having iTunes in Norwegian, so not sure if this is the direct translation, but hopefully you'll get the picture) - and I try to do this, again and again, but nothing seems to work. I have tried to turn off the computer, put iPod in disc-mode, let the battery run out, give it a two-week break, and now I'm out of guesses on what to do. But no matter what I do it allways appear to have zero songs on it after I am done syncing, and I allways get the "try to restore"-message when i connect it again.
It's possible that it's just old age or something, but I really want to try everything first, as it seems to be all right otherways. It also works when I connect it with my friend's PC, but since she has ****** taste of music () it's not an option. I have a MacBook, also from 2008.
And just to clearify. I have an iPad2, and an old iPod nano (2006) and both works with my computer/iTunes.See:

My iPod Nano [1st Generation] won't update or anything with iTunes 7.0!!! It worked with iTunes 6, but I downloaded 7 and it messed up my iPod - I tried deleting iTunes 7 and redownloading 6, but when I finished doing that, and I tried to get 6 to load, a window popped up that said "'iTunes Library.itl' cannot load because it was created on an updated version of iTunes" or something along that line. When I have tried to sync my ipod classic to my new computor is asks of I want to erase and sync or transfer. I selected erase and sync and it pops up with a bubble asking for my e-mail and password. The computor has been authorized and it takes my e-mail and password but then pops up with three other e-mals form other people. What do I do? Should I restore the ipod classic????????

iTunes jargon
RESTORE - to erase all data, ie music, address, video etc in the connected iPod and populate them with factory settings.
Why do we need to do this? When the iPod hardisk filesystem is corrupted and the iTunes cant map the iPod hardisk file structure, to add new data, music, videos etc.
SYNC - The process, where iTunes overrides all data, music, videos in the iPod, with the iTunes Library. So if the iTunes library in your PC is blank, then iTunes will erase your iPod, till blank.
iTunes Library - the folder in your PC/MAC that contains all your data/music/video etc. The iTunes does not treat the iPod as a store, but rather as huge landfill, so you need 3rd party software to recover any data from the iPod back to the PC/MAC. -

I am having trouble with two cover flows on my IPOD, duplicating themselves more than once, they haven't duplicated themselves in my Itunes library, just the ipod, could anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this problem. For those with similar problems, the solution is this:
Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > MIDI Drivers
Then delete DigiDioMidiDriver.plugin -

If you are wondering why you are not getting any responses, it is because you have vented a complaint without any details that make any sense or give anyone something to work on.
If you want help, I suggest actually detailing what has happened, with versions of software etc. Anything that would let us assist.
As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.

As with all clickwheel iPods, you can reset this iPod by first toggling the hold switch on and off and then simultaneously pressing the select (center) and menu buttons for approximately 5-10 seconds. This is a common fix should your iPod behave unexpectedly or lock up. Once reset, the iPod should display an Apple logo for a few seconds before showing the main menu. This procedure is similar to rebooting a computer and damages none of your music or data. -

Holding down the center/select button and the menu button will reboot your ipod. See if that helps. Also, I'd recommend something else- I had nothing but trouble with my ipod classic until I spent $20 to get Mac OS Mountain Lion. It did what you said and sometimes wouldnt play, or wouldnt power on...
Try rebooting your ipod and let me know what happens and maybe in the future obtain Mountain Lion to aide your ipod in functionality.

Same here, I get no sound from videos, text messages. This happens for a while, then it works again then it doesn't work. When I go to settings, my "change with buttons" is on but buttons don't work. FCP doesn't see my Panasonic TM-900.
Tried swapping cables and used another TM-900 (looking for a physical connection problem). When turning on camera the camera import box flickers briefly. Any ideas?
