I am having trouble opening Adobe Reader after I install it in my Safari. I have installed reader about 10 times now and it says I can use it now, but when I try to open a file it tells me I need to launch Reader and Agree to terms. I really need to use it now for school. Please help. Thank you, Heather

You need to open Reader outside of Safari Start>All programs and accept the agreement.

  • Having trouble with Adobe Reader on my RD MacBook Pro OS X10.8.1 running Safari 6.0

.pdf files online will not open online nor saved .pdf files open.  Message " internal error occured " pops up.  Can anyone help?

Did you try running Safari in 64bit mode. To do this follow steps below:
    1. Go to /Applications
    2. Ctrl+click on Safari icon
    3. Select Get Info
    4. Now uncheck the option "Open in 32bit mode"
    5. Quit safari and launch again.
For saving the pdf try using the save icon in the pdf toolbar instead of the File menu -> Save option
    hope this helps,

  • Trouble with finder / spotlight ever since i installed lion.

Lion seems to have caused trouble with finder / spotlight ever since it was installed. Finder is struggling even with basic tasks (moving files)? This occures even when to other programmes are running. I have checked the VM for mds in activity monitor and this is constantly running at around 670MB, which is what I think is affecting finder. Is there any quick fix?

Disconnect all wired peripherals except the drive in question. The drive should be connected to a built-in USB port, not a hub, and it should have an external power source. Make sure the USB cable is securely seated at both ends. Boot in safe mode.
Test. Same problem? Connect it to a different built-in USB port. Same problem now? Try a different USB cable. Still the same?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode.)
If you have the same problem with the drive in all the above tests, then test it with another Mac, if possible.

  • Im having trouble downloading Adobe Reader,  its not accepting the password (which I reset few hours ago)   ??

Question >   Im having trouble downloading Adobe Reader.  It gets to box that requires name and password, but does not accept info.  I have already reset password few hours ago in Account Settings.  Any suggestions???

You don't need a password to download Adobe Reader (or any other free Adobe apps).  However, your computer may request you to enter its Administrator password to install the software.

I am hjaving trouble with adobe 5 not compatable with my computer so how do I get rid of it and up grade  to a newer verson, hopfully a free one

There is no application named Adobe 5, so you might have to provide the correct name for the application.  If it happens to be Creative Suite 5 (CS5) there is a good chance it is compatible with your computer but you might have to install it in a compatibility mode.  If you want to remove it you should first deactivate it. YOu might also do well to use the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool...
    Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool
helps resolve installation problems for CS3 thru CS6 and for Creative Cloud
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
As far as I know there are no free upgrades, especially if the reason would be lack of compatibility.  It might be true if you were to have purchased one version when the next version was just about to be released, but CS5 is well beyond being considered for that.  Software is not freely upgraded to match newer machines - that's part of life.
Just in case... if the lack of compatibility is due to your machine not meeting the tech specs of CS5, then it will most likely be true that your machine does not meet the tech specs of anything newer than that.

  • I am also having trouble with my cursor freezing after installing Mavericks. Never did it before. I called tech support at Apple and they had me restart computer and mouse together from a complete shut down. So far has seemed to work.

I am having trouble with my cursor freezing between applications after installing Mavericks. Called Apple on my 3 year warranty and opened a case. They suggested a complete shut down of computer and turning off mouse. Then a reboot and turn on mouse. So far iit has seemed to work. Hope this continues??
    Hope it helps others.

I think you can solve your problems by removing your AppleID email address from BOTH the Messages setting on your iPhone and the iMessages settings on your Mac.
    On iPhone:
    Settings > Messages > iMessage > Dissabled
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > touch the "(i)" < touch "Remove This Email"
    On Mac:
    Open "Messages" application
    Click "Messages menu > Preferences
    Click "Accounts"
    Select your AppleID account
Under the "You can be reached for messages at" settings, uncheck your AppleID email address and your phone number
Then uncheck the "Enable this account" setting
And lastly, ask all of your friends with iPhones to delete all iMessage conversations (blue bubbles) in their entirety.
To test, send a friend a new text using their phone number (not their email address) and watch the color of the bubble.  If it's green then you are using SMS.

I believe that I have interrogated all of the FAQ's and followed the help suggestions.

  • Still having trouble with Adobe AIR - Trying to download free trial.

I'm having an issue with Adobe AIR.  Last month I purchased Photoshop CS 5.5 with the agreement of a free upgrade to Photoshop CS 6 10 days after it comes out (should be today that I get the CD key, right?) and I'd like to get myself ready to just plug the key in and go, especially considering the trouble  I had actually downloading PS CS 5.5 (not too promising, eh?).
I can see the yellow DOWNLOAD button and when I click it Adobe AIR comes on and asks me to read the license, etc.  I click AGREE and... it closes immediately.  Every time.
I've tried on a few different browsers and don't have any anti-virus messing with it.
Thanks for your help anyone and everyone.

You will still need to resolve the AIR issue to install the software as we use it's components in many of our Creative Applications.  I would recommend reviewing Troubleshoot AIR installation | Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/troubleshoot-air-installation-windows.html.
You are also welcome to follow the steps listed in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to initiate a direct download.  Depending on the Adobe product though you are installing you will need to have Adobe AIR functioning for a successful installation.

  • I'm having trouble using Adobe Reader

I'm having trouble using or uninstalling Adobe Reader, i get a message when the programme has been anitiated which says Adobe Reader has encountered a problem and needs to close, i went on to Adobe's website and it said try uninstalling Adobe Reader and then re-install it as this sometimes works, i tried un-installing it from the Add or Remove programme but that didn't work either as i got another message telling me that the patch package could not be verified and to make sure i have permission.

    Dear Mylenium.
Sorry i don't quite understand your reply, What do you need to know?

  • Trouble with Adobe Reader 9.3

Website form will not open for printing.  Using Adobe Reader 9.3.1. When selecting the form to be printed it tries to download but halts at about 50% in the progress bar.  In about 2 minutes a block appears telling me to quit Adobe Reader and try again.  What's going on here?   This started just in the last couple of days.  Haven't had this trouble before. Using IE 8 browser.

    Michael:
I tried your suggestion of right clicking on the file.  It won't let me do
    this.   Still doesn't work.
This is a selection button at the bottom of a form that when you click on
it, it will open the print screen.  This has worked perfectly for ever since
the website put this into being.  All of a sudden it stops working a few
    days ago.
I sometimes can get it going by dumping adobe reader from the computer,
then reloading.  It will let (maybe) me print about two forms then it quits
(stalls) again.  I have a deadline to meet by this Friday and really need
this option of printing these envelopes  (forms).
I have not changed anything, nor added anything to my system.

  • I'm having trouble with Adobe installation

Ok downloaded Mountain Lion , then all of a sudden I can't complete searches without having a pop up telling me I don't have the current update I need to install new upsdate. Doesn't want to install, any problem with anyone else

Assuming that you are referring to Adobe Flash Player, then be careful: if that pop-up is not from Adobe it may be an attempt to get you to install malware.
Never install Flash from anywhere but Adobe.
You can check here what version of Flash player you actually have installed:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
