I will try that, but isn't Skype supposed to work without headphones? Why does it work with ichat when I talk to my friends with macs?

There are only two types of HDMI cables (standard and high speed - listen to all 1.2, 1.3 etc etc nonsense they will try to tell in the store) both types will work with the Apple TV.
The cable may be faulty though, have you got another to try, what exactly is happening.

I had a similar problem. Here is how I resolved the issue.
1. Remove Network Connect
2. Run Terminal and remove /usr/local/juniper and everything within the juniper directory.
3. Reboot the machine and reinstall Network Connect
4. Test if you can now connect.
During removal, you may encounter permission denied error, you will need to change the permission to 777. For example "sudo chmod 777 nc".

I upgraded Lion recently to 10.7.3. Since that time I am having trouble with my wireless connection. All other devices are fine, but I keep losing the connection since the upgrade.

Try reboot your router, update router firmware from the manufacturer website.
In iPhone's Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Try reconnect again to your Wi-Fi.
Lastly, do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.

Having trouble with screen activation

I am having problems accessing my voicemail, when I touch the message button to listen, the screen goes black and locks me out. Also, when I am speaking with someone, if I need to pull the phone away from my ear to use the keypad, the Iphone stays black and locks me out. The final problem is when I need to end a call, upon pulling the phone away from my ear, the screen is very sporadic and cuts in and out of the black screen, locking me out. Does anyone have similar problems or know what to do about this?

This is normal. The iPhone includes a proximity sensor near the earpiece. When you hold the iPhone up to your ear and face, the screen turns off to prevent your face from accidentally touching a button on the screen such as End Call.
Are you using a case that might be blocking or partially blocking your iPhone's proximity sensor?
The rest doesn't sound good.
Standard troubleshooting steps in order are power your iPhone off and on.
Reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so.
Restore with iTunes.
If no change after any or all, call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

Can"t connect to 5GHZ wifi connection now that I have updated to IOS7, same problem with the Iphone 5c that I bought for my wife. My 5 was updated to 7 this morning and now same problem as the new 5c

Ooops! My bad ... I forgot I had MAC address filtering enabled. Was using new iPad Air so it wasn't on the allowed list.
All is fine now.

I'm having trouble with multiple speaker connections in iTunes?

Home network running through a Time Capsule:
1. MacBook
2. Apple TV (Living Room)
3. Apple TV (Bedroom)
4. AirPort Express (Connected to speakers in Kitchen)
Issue:
In iTunes I can see and play muisic through all my Apple TVs and the AirPort Express station. However, when I want to connect to multiple speakers (locations) The only two iteams that show up are a single Apple TV (bedroom) and the computer. I can't figure out why my AirPort Express or the other Apple TV (Living Room) will not show up? All my devices have the most recent updates, and function properly as far as connectiong and playing music individualy.
Can anybody help me figure out why the second Apple TV or AirPort Express won't show up in the "mulitple speaker" selection dialog box?

Now my new issue is they are not perfectly synchronized from station to station! What a bummer!

I am having trouble with my hotmail connection.

I have notice that I have to refresh each time I want to see emails on firefox, this doesn't happen in IE. Also, photos attached to emails never open in the email, have to be downloaded to hard drive. Thirdly. The file tabs do not let me know I have new emails on the tab if I am working in a different location.

For no reason, the shortcut keys for full screen window quit working. They started working after a reboot once but just quit again and restart did not correct this time. Quite annoying, any fix for this?

Connect the device to iTunes and restore from the most current backup.
If the issue continues, restore as new.

I am having trouble with my Mac Mini's ethernet connection. Defining a new network interface shows no ethernet adaptor. Reloading SL from DVD repaired. But SL update lost ethernet again. Will Lion Fix?

I am having trouble with my mac mini ethernet. It had been working for weeks after an update to SL 10.6.8.
Once it went out and i repaired it by defining a new connection from System Preferences ->Network->(left panel service, +).
But yesterday, after a power up. my ethernet was not working again. I tried this old trick to repair it, but the interface choices
listed for '+' a new service did not include Ethernet any more. And the Utilities->System Profiler->Ethernet Cards shows
no ethernet available.
As a last ditch effort i reloaded my original SL from DVD. (I think it was version 10.6.4 but i could be mistaken on the version).
The ethernet worked! But KeyNote wasn't going to work because apparently the version i purchased depends on 10.6.8.
So I upgraded again to SL 10.6.8 (Plus some other updates like AirPort which i don't use).
Now the Ethernet is not working again. I see the same symptoms as before with the Ethernet seeming not installed.
Is this a problem seen by others?
Would going to Lion fix the problem?
Could AirPort actually be the culprit and not SL?
If i stay with my original SL, would i need to repurchase a version of KeyNote for the older version of SL?

Have you reset the SMC?
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord.
Wait fifteen seconds.
Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
While you're at it, resetting the PRAM won't hurt anything and 'might' help is SMC reset didn't work (PRAM does some port control):
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
Something else you might try .... you don't say how you're updating to 10.6.8, however, if you're using Software Update, you might try downloading the 10.6.8 combo update, which contains all updates to 10.6. Sometimes, Software Update doesn't work quite right, and installing the combo update fixes that. Download the update from Apple's download site at http://support.apple.com/downloads/ , using Disk Utility repair permissions, apply the combo update, then repair permissions again.
