Having trouble with videos

I have a 5 days old 5G Ipod and it seems like Itunes doesn't find its capability to play videos, since when I click the 'Options' button in Itunes and then 'Videos', the window is blank and I can't turn any of the buttons on ('Autmatically update all videos' isn't available, for eg). I try to put my videos into the ipod but a warning sign says that the ipod is not capable of playing videos.
I wonder weather this is a common problem, or I am doing something wrong, can somebody please help me?!??!

are you on MAC or WINDOWS? What are the file extentions that you are trying to drag and drop into V-POD? at this juncture, only M4V and .AVI and .MOV files will work. [I'm still trying to figure out DVD files]

open up file in VLC; [SETTINGS NEED TO BE SET UP AS WELL]
ONCE FILE IS MADE AND SAVED TO DESK TOP, YOU THEN OPEN UP QUICKTIME PRO FILE/OPEN AND EXPORT IT TO .M4V file. Once it is changed from MOV to M4V, it is at this point that you can drag and drop into V-POD.
I sure hope this helps. Do you have a messenger service: MSN/AOL? if so and you you have the proper software [quicktime pro and mpeg 2 codec] LET ME KNOW and i can give you step by step instructions to configure VLC to change files from 'X' to M4V

get something called videora ipod converter, it's free and works with any video file.. go to google and look it up

Good lord, Man! That's the long way around the block.
Highlight all the songs in the album. Right-click and select GET INFO.
Click on the album art in your web browser and drag it to the little box for Album Art in the Get Info dialog.
On rare occations I find Drag and Drop doesn't want to work - right click on the image in your web browser and select COPY - the PASTE in to the box in the GET INFO dialog.

Have new 5230, having trouble with video

Just bought a new 5230 Nuron phone. I have taken photos with it and have been able to pull the photos off the phone to my computer, but I cannot figure out how to pull the videos off my phone to my computer.
Also I can't believe I cant figure it out but I am trying to erase all my text messages at once instead of going through each one and erasing each one individually. How do I do that?

Your Preview or the incoming Video ?
The Internal iSight is fixed focus and the lens is small. If you have ever happened to have opened the lid and put your finger there, some dirt, grease or fluff may have transferred there.
If you go to the Video menu and open the Connection Doctor it will tell you your own Frame rate and Bit rate and that of your Buddy.
Low speeds here, say lees than 200kbps, may show up as a blurry incoming video.

Having trouble with video chatting on iChat

Hi,
I'm trying to video chat with my brother. My video chat worked fine at school but when I came home I am connected to wireless internet, and though it is very fast when ever I video chat my brother looks very blurry and choppy and I look choppy and blurry on his. The sound is also very choppy. Now, my preview screen looks clear, and when I am chatting with him I look clear to myself. Also, when I do it with anyone else it's the same thing, but when he does it with other people it works fine and its clear. so its obviously me. I tried plugging into the wall but its the same story. So I figure its gotta be my internet service provider or my settings. does anyone have any information or tips that can help fix this problem for me? Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Your video playback will also depend on your net speed. If you have slow internet, you will stream video slow. If your video stops and starts, you can try pausing it for a minute or so and then try to watch. Let more of it buffer before you try to watch.

i'm having trouble with FF; Youtube videos dont play, just a black screen ? ; they play ok on Google Chrome; BBC news videos play ok with FF. I have upgraded Adobe Flash no look, reverted to previous, no luck. I'm running Windows 7, on a DELL Inspiron with terraflops of memory and no system bugs, clean as a whistle.
FF is my default browser. The mouse-over previews play? Sometime for fractions of second videos try to play, then revert to black screen.

Having trouble with the video function..

I just purchased the 60GB ipod photo. I'm transferring music files easily. However, I'm having trouble with the video function. I've loaded Itunes 6, reloaded the original setup disk, and have loaded the latest updates for the unit. I can download movies from the itunes store and save them to my library, but I cant seem to transfer the video files to the ipod. Ive reinstalled itunes and the update 6 with no success. After syncing the ipod it only shows the music files even after all that Ive tried. Additionally, there is no evidence of the video function on the main menu after the update attempts. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm eager to get past this problem so that I can start tranfering personal movies and video files.

You Have an iPod Photo, You do NOT have a 5th Generation Video iPod. Get it? You need the 5G model to play video.
If the salesman told you it was the 5G model he lied, was ignorant or both. If video is important or if thats what you thought you were getting you will need to return your 4G iPod photo for new iPod.

Which iTunes, on iPad, iTunes is a Store and it won't take your .mp4.
On pc, check if it supports the mp4 (there are a number of different mp4 format) you have converted.

Looking up your camera online, I found it is capable of 1920 x 1080 Full HD 60p Recording. It's the 60p (60 frames per second Progressive) that's the problem I think. iMovie '11 will do 60i (Interlaced). You might need to convert it from the format the camera currently uses into another format to get it into iMovie. Read more about it on this link here: How to import 60p footage From that message thread comes the recommendation to use ClipWrap to convert the camera's video clips now that they are in 60p:

Use ClipWrap to rewrap to QuickTime. Import the files. Edit in either 59.94 or 29.97. The latter if you want to use the high frame rate for slomo
