Having troubles syncing my ipod touch...

My ipod touch will not sync. On itunes it says I have almost 2GB left of memory but then when I try to sync it, it says it won't because it's full. I've unselected so many things to make more room even. Why might this be?

I think the error message is still saying that there is not enough available on the iPod for the items you want to sync. Does the error message say how much more it needs?

I have no idea. It is not listed in any App articles and a Google search did not even find a hit for the error number.
All I can suggest is:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

I'm having issues syncing my iPod touch to iTunes. When i connect the iPod to iTunes, a message pops up saying "iTunes could not connect to 'iPod Touch' because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter a passcode on the iPod before it can be used with iTunes." Yet when I unlock the device, the only screen available to me it the picture of a USB and an arrow pointing to iTunes so there is no way for me to enter a passcode. I tried going into "My Computer" to view the files of the iPod, if i could possibly reset the iPod to its factory settings yet the connected iPod is not present. Is there any way to possibly reset this iPod or is there a software problem?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Should I uninstall/reinstall itunes and if so should it be all the programmes associated with Apple or just iTunes

Trouble syncing new ipod touch

I just got my new ipod touch. I started syncing it, but lost my internet connection in the middle of syncing (seems like a problem with the pc, just not sure why). The ipod seemed to stop syncing. It still said at the top of itunes that it was syncing but didn't seem to be doing anything at all. Do I have to have an internet connection to finish syncing? It loaded all my music I think, but never would do the photos or anything else. Thanks!

you dont need an internet connection to sync any of your music or photos. Sometimes my laptop freezes up because i guess syncing puts a load on the computer but it eventually finishes syncing. Im not sure why your photos didnt get synced unless you didnt check mark them to get synced or you unplugged it before it got to your photos. try re syncing your ipod. hope i helped

Hi, Just received a message while trying to sync my iPod classic....You need to turn on synchronisation in iSync preferences before you can sync contacts and calendars. I was just trying to add new music...never seen this before. When I click on it it states the iPod filenam can't be synced because it cannot be read from or written to. iTunes jargon
RESTORE - to erase all data, ie music, address, video etc in the connected iPod and populate them with factory settings.
Why do we need to do this? When the iPod hardisk filesystem is corrupted and the iTunes cant map the iPod hardisk file structure, to add new data, music, videos etc.
SYNC - The process, where iTunes overrides all data, music, videos in the iPod, with the iTunes Library. So if the iTunes library in your PC is blank, then iTunes will erase your iPod, till blank.
iTunes Library - the folder in your PC/MAC that contains all your data/music/video etc. The iTunes does not treat the iPod as a store, but rather as huge landfill, so you need 3rd party software to recover any data from the iPod back to the PC/MAC.

I've been syncing tunes into my classic for months but today I had trouble. It wouldn't go into the sync mode. It just sat there connected freezing everything up. Could my cord be going bad or what? When I first tried today, I got an error message about my connection.

Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

I'm having trouble with my iPod touch fourth generation..

I was on my iPod and I realized that I couldn't accept follow requests on the Instagram app, I tried going on the computer and it wouldn't let me sign in. I tried a few more times and even made sure I spelt it right, it was all correct but it was saying something like "Please enter a correct username and password. Note that both feilds are case-sensitive." The password and email were correct, but it's still saying it. The app on my iPod is working but if I try signing in anywhere else, it won't work?? Please help??

I've managed to get all my music and films etc. off my old iTunes library but when I plug my iPod into the computer, it doesn't come up with the typical 'erase/replace or transfer' message that you get when you plug it into other computers. Someone please help because it is driving me insane. The iPod was originally synced with a Windows computer and I think this might be what is causing my problem but I really need help fixing it. Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to new computer.
