HBO Go / Showtime Anytime

Both of these aps will not allow me to log on. They both say that I am not subscribed to those services, even though I have the U450 package. I am literally watching HBO as it tells me I am not able to watch HBO. This seems to be a common problem, though no one on this phones has any idea of what I am talking about (one guy didn't even get the idea of the ap). I know its a first class problem, but I pay for these services, and should get them. Otherwise maybe it's back to Comcast?

HBO G0 & Showtime Anytime Login

Hi, I just setup the HBO Go and Showtime Anytime. The problem is they use my FiOS account login credential to login (don;t know why I can't just use the Go and Anytime User ID's they ask me to create during setup.) The thing is, I have tenants and, obviously, I don't want to give out my FiOS account login to them. Is there a way around that. Reading the FAQ on HBOGO.com, it seems to suggest that a sub-account will do the trick but the only info on sub-account I find on Verizon is about email. Any idea?

I purchased both the apple tv and VGA connections for my iPad so I can mirror/project this image onto my television. When I purchased both of these items from the store, I was told it would support this feature. Is there anything in development to allow me to mirror the image or connect it via the VGA connector to my television?

Can't sign in to HBO GO or Showtime Anytime

Is anyone else not able to sign in to HBO GO or Showtime Anytime for the last few days? I've logged in fine for a year or so, but a few days ago it started freezing up on the screen after you enter your username and password and it says "signing in" and has that spinning wheel forever.

I solved it, but I wasn't 100% happy with the solution.
For me, it's because I have two Verizon usernames. I was a DSL customer a while ago, and used one name. Then I switched to another provider. But later subscribed to FiOS...at that time they made me pick a different username because my original one was already in use (by me, sort of). But somehow I could use my old one too. It was double-personality, I needed to sign in as oldname to get to billing and stuff, but as newname to get to FiOS stuff (phone messages, DVR on website, etc). I think it was because I had a telephone account with Verizon the entire time, my old username stayed tied to me.
I complained and complained, and eventually they did something to my account so that I could use either name and get the same functionality. So I went to using the oldest username. I thought my two accounts were merged, but I was wrong because a couple days ago HBOgo stopped working.
So the solution was, to use my main/official FiOS username, the one I had to choose when I signed up for FiOS. I don't know why this change occurred, but it did for me.
So, if anyone has this issue, AND they may have multiple usernames...here it is.
If you're not sure, the twitter support led to a convenient chat window where I walked through things fairly rapidly.

Poor Picture with Showtime Anytime

     I have been a subscriber to Verizon Fios for a week now and there is an obvious difference in picture quality for Showtime Anytime (which is new to me as I didn't subscribe to Showtime with my previous provider) and Netflix and HBO GO (which I have used for about two years). With Showtime Anytime there are two problems: 1) There is a jagged look to objects and people instead of a smooth look. In gaming this is called "jaggies" I believe and is solved with the anti-aliasing settings of the game. 2) There is a ever slight (but noticible) strobe-like effect that means that that the frame rate is too low. The sound is fine.
     Netflix and HBO GO playback is outstanding and my internet speed is super fast now (58 MBPS down). There is an optional driver update for my graphics card, NVIDIA Geforce GTS 240 (I don't game with it any more). I don't know if a new driver will really change anything with this issue and I tend to leave things alone if they are working.
     I don't think this is the fault of Verizon FIOS but I wonder if anyone else has noticed this.

Showtime Anytime is standard definition only. That is why its quality is inferior to HBOGo and Netflix, which are HD. It is not your PC graphics card.

Showtime Anytime on Apple TV

Is there any way to get the apps Showtime Anytime or HBO Go running on my apple TV? I tried running the application on my iphone and mirroring it to apple TV but I recieve a message saying that feature is not available with Showtime Anytime or HBO Go on the iphone. Is the only other option mirroring it with an iPad?

These apps block airplay due to licensing/DRM. You are attempting to workaround that. The moderator has already edited your post.
Do not submit software or descriptions of processes that break or otherwise 'work around' digital rights management software or hardware. This includes conversations about 'ripping' DVDs or working around FairPlay software used on the iTunes Store.

Showtime Anytime Not Working with Uverse

I just tried setting up Showtime Anytime through my Xbox 360. It gave me the activation code and the website to sign up on ShowtimeAnytime. But when I choose Uverse in the drop down menu, it says "I don't have Showtime Anytime with my account', which I do. And the odd thing is, I'm not even logged in. It doesn't even give me the option to log in. I tried clicking other tv providers and every single one of them offered a log in screen, but Uverse didn't and just kept reloading the same page that said Showtime is not on my account and doen't give me the option to type in my login information. Is this a problem for others and how can they fix this?

I been trying to watch Showtime Anytime on all the following devices: Apple TV 3rd generation, Apple iPad Air 2, iPad 2, iPad mini 1, Nexus 7 2nd, mac mini, and Window 7 PC with no luck.
History Summary Quickly:
U300 Option, don't have HBO
ATT customer support no help for ~2 days, trying to blame the Showtime Anytime app, my home connection, ect...
Had Sean Ford from ATT Tech arrive today and we think norrow it down to my to my account causing the problem for some reason???
We verifyied that using my information none of the following apple apps would work using my correct information ***@att.net from AT&T: Showtime Anytime, Watch ABC Family, Watch ABC, or ESPN, but using (Sean) his U300 account info and password with Showtime Anytime and ESPN he was able to log in, with out getting stuck at the Log In screen (Light grey sceen).
He spent over 3 hrs with AT&T higher end techical support texting back and forth. They reseted, tried multiple things, deleting the apps, reinstalling, reseted modem, upgraded to a little higher band width, tried logging in from AT&T tech support site using my information all NO GO!
So now it getting transfer to the next level of support and hopefully they could figure out the problems.
From reading here I understand I'm not the only having issues with AT & T service on moble devices.
I'm so glad that Sean had the same U300 subscription and proved that my account is causing the problems and not Showtime Anytime, ESPN, Family ABC, ect.. Also that he arrive today, just think of the nightmare I would have gone through on the AT&T phone line with people must less experience then Sean.

Showtime Anytime Multiple Access on Same Account

Having trouble trying to login to Showtime Anytime. When my husband is on, I can't get on. Even though we both have seperate sign on accounts. It is telling me I don't have a Fios account, but I do. I talked to both Showtime & Verizon and they both are pointing fingers at each other.
I have come to the conclusion that is a Verizon problem. Can someone help me please?

You may have separate sign on accounts, but they are of the same subcription account. Showtime only allows one device from a given subscription to be actively logged in at any given time.

Cannot get access code for Showtime anytime on apple tv

I have tried everything and Apple TV is giving me no access code for Showtime anytime. I restored the apple tv.

Anyone having problems with audio on Showtime Anytime?

I cannot get the audio to work on my Macbook when using the Showtime Anytime site. A plug-in called Widevine was installed for use with the site, but the audio is still not coming through. Video plays fine.

I am having the same issue. My iPhone 5 is on Verizon and my daughters iPhone 5 is on Sprint. Cannot do anything.

Can you get it to your iPad? You can try using AirPlay but it usally blocks copyrighted content, so the video might not come though.

i just signed up et for internet plus it clearly say includes hbo and showtime included yet i am being charged 5 dollars a month for showtime yet support tells me its not included and its 5 a monthupromotion what gives included is a picture of the add i clicked and signed up for online tell me if im wrong or if comcast is tryna milk as much as they can out of me

Showtime anytime is not playing on firefox

I have successfully watched showtime anytime with firefox in the past. but suddenly I get a loading icon that spins endlessly when i click on an episode that I would like to watch. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you mean the script that shows the slide show then that is working fine for me with Firefox 3.6.11
You can reload the page and bypass the cache with:

Do you have sound in other apps and sounds for keyboard clicks and email notifications? I'm trying to determine if you have system sounds muted which would disable sound in third party apps.
If system sounds are not muted, the most common suggestions for troubleshooting 3rd party apps are to close the app and restart it, restart the device and delete the app and download it again. You can look at those suggestions in here.

Even though this talks about non responsive and crashing apps, if the app isn'tt working as expected, then it isn't working as expected and these steps could still apply.

Showtime Anytime HDMI mirroring

I wish someone could explain digital rights in a way that actually makes sense to most human beings, but that's not the point.
I have HBO and Showtime from my cable provider. Very useful. I have the HBO and Showtime Apps on my iPad and iPhone. They both work perfectly, though I've never used them outside of my home WiFi network, so who knows if it's very useful.
Of course, I have HBO and Showtime on my Apple TV. With no discernible logic, I cannot use those Apps on my Apple TV, because....who knows. My major cable company is not included on the list of approved providers for the Apple TV apps.
But it gets weirder. My iPhone and iPad HBO and Showtime apps have more seasons of programs than my cable company's on demand system. For example, if I want to watch all 4 seasons of Boardwalk Empire, I can do it on HBO to go, but not on my cable's On Demand system. That's just ludicrous.
Now HBO allows me to do Airplay streaming through Apple TV, so this is good. Showtime, illogically does not allow AirPlay. This is well known.
TL;DR
So here's my question: I know there are no workarounds to AirPlay blocking, but I was considering buying a Lightning to HDMI cable for my iPad, hoping that the hardware mirroring will work perfectly. It's a $50 proposition, so I don't want to get it if the app blocks Airplay as well as HDMI mirroring. I couldn't find an answer in searching the internet. People seem to conflate Airplay with HDMI mirroring, so I can't dig out an answer.
I just wish my Apple TV could get the content, because it's so much faster than Cable's On Demand system, but a temporary fix is better than nothing.

I just bought the digital av adapter, hoping to mirror my iPad screen onto a spare TV in my basement while working out. Generally works well (HBO, YouTube, Netflix), but showtime gives me a message that it's not supported. Apparently only works with the apple TV (built in app, not mirroring or AirPlay). Thinking I might just break down and go roku instead.
