HBOGO login system broken AGAIN

OMG why is the HBO GO authentication system broken AGAIN... after months of successful use, when logging in, you get the error message "you need an HBO subscription" ... of course i have had a subscription for a long time... this error happens every few months.. no one at verizon can help you... you just have to wait until someone at fios notices something is wrong and they fix it... so I am posting this to make some noise!!! PLEASE FIX

I have been unable to log into hbogo now for the last 2 days. I've been using it for months and now it's saying I need to subscribe to HBO in order to use the service. I'm obviously already subscribed, so there is a problem with the login authentication.
Please fix this Verizon.

This occurrs any time I press the volume rocker key to mute the ring of an incoming call. After the initial time when it played an extremely brief snippet of my ringtone (factory installed "Older Phone" ringtone), it has randomly switched between the short ringtone and a electronic squeal noise.
Since I know the slightest software change can kill a seemingly unrelated feature, I'll try to be as detailed as possible. For my phone setup, it is completely stock (phone no.5 after misc. slider/screen/charger door issues, haven't had time to change anything yet) My ringtone volume is set to maximum with vibrate also on, system sounds are also set to maximum with the default tone. I have no non-app catalog programs or patches installed. I use a Touchstone back cover, although the phone was not on the charger when I noticed the issue.
The only downloaded apps on the phone are Pandora, Tip 'em!, Stop Watch, Fandango, Good Food, Mileage Monitor and gDial Pro (which has not been set up yet). With the exception of Pandora, none of these apps have been used since I received this replacement phone. They were all just automatically downloaded because my previous phone had them. I have e-mail accounts through Cox, Yahoo, and Gmail, none of which are synced to contacts, calendars, messaging or tasks. I do have my Palm profile and EAS through my work in a full sync capacity.

HP Scan to Email App is Broken Again

The Scan to Email App is Broken Again!
Printer: HP6700 Officejet Premium
I kept having the dreaded "Cannot cannot to the Internet" error when trying to use the Scan to Email App
The app has been working fine for a few months; there were no changes to the system, and then, it just stopped working - again.
I've stopped and re-started Web Services, gone thru the Wirless Network Setup again, and re-registered the printer with HP Connect. I've also removed and then added the Print to Email App again.
Now when I try to set-up the Scan to Email App and try to enter the PIN that was emailed to me I get:
Internal Processing Error
Please let me know how to fix this!!

SQL injection on login system by Adobe?

Hello everybody!
I recently bought a wonderful book "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 with PHP - Training from the source" by Daivid Powers.
In the book is described how you can create a login system.
What I would like to ask is: Have the dreamweaver server behaviors any kind of protection against SQL injection?
Unfortunately I do not know PHP in order to recognize the code generated by server behaviors and be able to answer this question by myself..
I just want to know how safe is to publish a website based on the dreamweaver server behaviors..

Any form values and inbound URL parameters will be sanitized (via the function GetSQLValueString) based on several criteria:
a) generally applied sanitizing functions: stripslashes, mysql_real_escape_string
b) in case of a numeric value (integer, double) the function GetSQLValueString will additionally apply the PHP function intval respectively doubleval

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Daily Show Multipass broken AGAIN! 3rd October 2011 -same issue as last week!

As happened last week, multipass is broken again! Episode available to buy, but not to download as part of multipass.
Only received last weeks episodes on Friday in one go due to problems at Apple. Looks like they haven't fixed the underlying problem.

CAN'T OPEN SYSTEM PREFS, AGAIN!!!!

THIS IS TOO MUCH!
Yesterday, I could not open my system prefs. I did every thing possible within my actual system, trashed all that could be the problem, did a archived reinstalled, ran Tech Tool, Disk Warrior. Eventually had to do a clean install.
The new prefs opened once for me to change international prefs and then IT'S GONE AGAIN!!!
CAN'T OPEN SYSTEM PREFS AGAIN!!!!
THIS IS KILLING ME ! DOCK BOUNCES BUT NOTHING HAPPENS

Sys prefs is an app and it's icon can be dragged into the dock. Laurent will have done that. I would suggest to him he, 1) dump the dock icon, drag it from dock and have it go 'poof', 2) Try to launch it and use it from the Apple menu, 3) Try to launch it and use it from the icon in 'Applications', 4) Knowing then you can get it to run drag the 'Applications' icon afresh into the dock.
Could try repairing permissions for the Sys Pref app.

How to create a login system

I need to create a login system for an application. The application will be a Flex front-end connecting to a Postgres database through ColdFusion. I can connect to my database but cannot find a good way to check user credentials and save data in a session. Can someone provide some sample code or suggestions (I have already reviewd Bruce Phillips blog on the subject). I assume this is a standard activity in Flex but cannot find a lot of guidance. Any help would be appreciated. Details follow:
The use case is quite simple:
Assumptions:
-the user has an account and supplies correct information
-Flex can connect to the Postgres databse through ColdFusion datasource.
Actions:
User supplies username, password and role and clicks submit button. System validates that the username/password/role combination matches and displays a viewstack based on the role provided.

Where can I get a 3rd party mouse pad for my HP Pavilion dv6 - left mousepad button broken again!

Broken AGAIN and just out of warranty. I had this replaced at 9 months and now it's broken again (at 15 mths) with light/moderate usage. I've seen lots of posts about this issue both on and off the HP forum. Please can you tell me where I can get a replacement mousepad that I can install myself.

The touchpad is part of the whole top cover so it is going to require a significant disassembly. The above is likely not your correct part either, but the top cover for all dv6's ought to be available on ebay for $50-80. Here is the Service Manual:

This will provide disassembly instructions and also help you locate your exact part number. Part #3 page 24. The big thing is whether you have the fingerprint reader and the color.

Internet Sharing broken again with 10.6.8 update?

I have used Internet Sharing for years. (SysPrefs/Sharing/Internet Sharing/Share your connection from [Ethernet] to computers using [Airport]). It is very useful in my large old house, where my iMac is connected by an ethernet cable to a WiFi router in another part of the house; it gives me another WiFi zone without having to buy a WiFi extender.
This seems to be a forgotten feature in the OS (forgotten by Apple, that is). Several times in the last few years, it has "broken" ie ceased to work after an OS upgrade, and only worked again after either another upgrade to the OS or to Airport. The last time, upgrading to OS 10.6.7, it still worked but had an annoying but tolerable bug which required me to switch it off then on again after a restart.
I have just upgraded to 10.6.8 and it seems to be broken again. (iPad etc can see the network, pretend to join it, but don't actually connect to the internet).
Anyone else got the same problem?
Anyone at Apple reading this?
Maybe I should just go and buy another WiFi extender (they're a lot cheaper now) and stop trying to use my Mac to do this!

My wife's new(ish) MacBook Air had the wifi problem. As soon as she upgraded to 10.6.7, she lost internet connection - though wifi signal was still strong. We were hoping the new upgrade to 10.6.8 would fix the problem. It didn't. I tried everything - PRAM, disk permission repairs, etc etc. Finally, this evening, on a whim, I decided to input my old DNS settings (from when I was using the Witopia VPN) into her network settings. I have no idea why, but her connection returned immediately. I tried deleting them again to make sure it really was that, and the connection was lost. Put them back, and the internet came back. Bizarre. We are not even using Witopia anymore (we are in China, and use Asterill). Can anyone explain what's happening?

jazn-data.xml is used during development (when you are testing on the integrated WLS).
When you deploy to an external WLS server, it will (or at least can) use the users defined in the WLS's LDAP

Put a text box for the username and password and a label called "Sign in"
How can I make so that the username and password box get's my input box on my PHP website and that "Sign In" will be the Submit?

After Safari 7.06 update, whenever I connect to RSA Juniper Network Connect, my internet connection get disconnected. It was an issue with old Safari versions. It was fixed around 6 months back with one of Safari update. But, now it is broken again.
