HCM Forms issue

Hi Friends,
We are using custom workflow for Transfer process, which uses the HCM Processes and Forms Framework. When the approver is trying to approve the transfer form the workflow is going into error, when i check the application log it says that "Case ID 4BE09C91F82F01B2E1008000AC137F32 is already locked by user 105423", I restarted the workflow and asked the approver to approve it again, but when he clicks the approve button the workflow is again going into error and the application logs shows the same error "Case ID 4BE09C91F82F01B2E1008000AC137F32 is already locked by user 105423"
Please advice what could be issue.

Are you sure you config'd CAS Mgmt correctly for HCM P&F? Have you tried clearing the lock (ie. from the locks t-code)? Also, have you tried going into CASE Mgmt and looking at that case ID to see what is going on?

Issue with SAP_PD Service in HCM Forms

Hi Experts,
I am facing this issue when trying to create/update a Position using HCM Forms.
We have the HCM_ASR_CL_2 Business Function Activated
We are on EHP4.
I am trying to create/update a position using forms - SAP_PD Service and facing the below mentioned issue -
When I am trying to add the Object Type S in the LEAD_OBJECT_ID, I get the error - Object type S not supported.
As a workaround that I got from a help.sap - 3.In the navigation pane, go toValidity Period.Enter Start Object Type as S = Job, enter Application Type as PD. - Even this workaround doesnt work!
Am I missing some config here?
Also, once we activate the Business Function - do we get the node for SAP_PD in IMG just as we have for SAP_PA and SAP_PT service?

Issue with HCM Forms

Hi
We are implementing HCM Forms and Process. We have landscape EP7 SP18 and ECC6 with HR600.
We have done all the Adobe configuration, credential. All the test are successful on portal and R/3.
But we are not able to see adobe form on portal,when we select process (standard/custom) it ends with dump ie
'Connection Time out' / pdfobjectruntimeexception: Failed to updatedatainpdf
Please give your inputs if you have faced this issue. Also can I use upgraded packages in portal (WD Abap applications);let me know the versions for both HRAdmin and ECC HR.

Workflow issue - Save as Draft not working correctly - HCM Forms

Hi all,
We're having an issue with the standard workflow ASRDraft (WS17900404), the users are able to create an HCM Form in ESS and save it as a draft.
The workflow gets triggered and the task is created and is showing up on the UWL, when the users try to open the form they receive a critical error:
"No form scenario step is assigned to the work item..."
This is happening only in the production system, DEV and QA are working fine so I checked and compared all the config and everything looks the same.
I compared the Draft Task 17900121 on SWDD and they look the same, the binding is the same.
I also checked the task Container in SWIA and it seems that is missing information (e.g. scenario).

Time taking to open HCM Forms on portal.

Hi,
The entire development of HCM Forms and Process has successfully completed. Now this interactive form is taking too much time to open, for example time taking is from 30 sec to 60 sec. But client bench mark time to open any adobe form is 6sec. Actually does client benchmark is right? Second, how can we avoid this issue?

HCM form cannot be displayed in Portal

Dear Experts,
We are facing this problem which has stopped us for days.
Recently, in our Portal, the HCM forms cannot be displayed at all. We suspect it is ADS issue. However, both ABAP and Java are working fine in ADS as tested by BASIS team.
Has any of you encountered this problem before? Is there any specific area we need to look into?

HCM Forms and Related activities

Hi,
I have configured the search process for HCM forms in related activities. Although the process is working fine i am having two issues.
1. when i click on search process it opens in a new window and launches another window to display the "display_process" iview, so there are 2 popup windows. Can we make the display process iview to open in the first popup window which is the related activities launcher.
2. when i click on the search process link for the first time the initial pernr is passed to it. When i click on another pernr in the employee search iview and click on the search process link, it still uses the old pernr. if i wait for 5 mins and then click on the search process iview, it displays the correct pernr. I think there is a delay in refreshing the shared memory area for holding the pernr. is this a known issue?

Hi Siddharth,
I have done the configuration for related activities and used the "Related activities launcher" to lauch the "Search process" page (com.sap.pct.erp.hradmin.11.show_processes). This is working fine.
When i click on the link (Search Process) in related activities for HCM Forms, a popup window appears for the search process page and it launches another popup window which displays the "Display Process" screen. is this the standard behaviour?
The first popup window title is "Related activities launcher (search Process)" and the second popup window title is "Display Processes"
If not how to display the "Display process" screen within the first popup window.

The personnel number form Employee Search is not passed to the Search process iview until i refresh the related activities iview. Is this a known issue or am I missing any configuration.

Adobe form issue in quality

Hi,
I have made few changes in HCM forms and processes mainly in the Adobe form script and in fieldname display (say changed from Emp Name to Employee Name in the form) but when I move the changes to quality to test it in portal, no changes are reflected.
The changes are available in quality system. I am able to view the script and form changes in HRASR_DT forms in quality (backend SFP/ through HRASR_DT). But when I open the form in portal using Start Process it does not show the new changes whereas it is still showing some old form.
I am not sure whether this is due to any buffer issue or not. When I import a new Transport Request to quality, it throws an ADS error when I try to open the form through "Start Process" in portal and the next time it opens form without new changes.
Please help me !!!

Hi Christopher... Thank you so much for your reply. First of all thanks for all the blogs you have posted on HCM Processes and Forms...that's saving me till today and learnt a lot from your posts.
1. Yes I too felt that it should have been caching issue and I have raised it to the basis team, but yet to get a reply.
2. First thing is, I changed the script. I kept few pop up messages to test the script and then I removed it and transported again to quality, But still the pop up message were there even though there is no script. I checked in the xml source too and there is no script for pop up message.
Then to make sure, whether this is any script issue or not, I changed field label and even that did not reflect in quality.
Yes, I know this is pretty funny, we don't have test data in development, so we always do the changes in DEV and move to QA for testing.

HCM forms and process with single workflow

Hi Experts,
Can we use single workflow for multiple form scenarios?
Actually we have some 10 scenarios with 20 forms. We planned to combine all the scenario's in a single workflow and use it in different form scenario.
Is it possible or we need to create a separate workflow for each process?

SAP_PA backend service EXPECTS either a hardcoded/configured subtype OR a "*" for all available subtypes (which won't work in your case). What you "could" do is get creative with "rules" and check if values are entered, and then if so, do the operation for your subtype.
What you will need to do, which is what I do a LOT because of issues with SAP_PA is to actually make you update/changes in a backend function module (triggered in workflow). Now, things get a bit more complicated.....
Priod to EhP3, you could just call the ol' infotype operations function module in your own FM to do the change. However, from EhP3 and onward, you will need to do this via classes (same used by decoupled infotype framework.
Soooooo......time to get creative with your solution.

Return function module result to HCM form using backend service

I'm trying todo something very simple.
I would like to call a FM using a backend service and return the result of the FM to the HCM form.
I'm using USER_EVENT_CHECK on button to initiate the call.
Here is my dooperations, I have omitted the calling of the FM. I just want to return the changed text to the form in this example.

You could use 'CU_READ_RGDIR_NEW' to get payroll directory RGDIR, 'PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT' to read results (RT, CRT, ...) from specific entry in payroll drectory.

Error: Organizational Assignment created via Orgnizational Management in HCM form

Hi All,
I am getting below error while moving an EE to certain position via HCM form.
I have cheked and found that if an org unit is to be assigned to another cost center in Organizational management from a certain date, this action generates a new record in infotype 0001 for integrated persons from the date of assignment to the new cost center and if we perform any action which would be deleting the new record (created from OM) in IT0001 then this error would populate.
Here is the the same case a new Cost Centre has been assigned with the orgunit and a new record is creaed in IT0001 from the OM but when I am performing the same action via PA40 then I not getting any error, the error is occuring from the form only.
Can you please help me to resove this error and provide me the reason why it is not occring when I am performing the same action from PA40.

Hi Mayank,
I think you will be triggering Job Salary Form for the action you have mentioned. Please check in the Tcode HRASR_DT for the form name as I have show below from my development system. In Back-End services - SAP_PA - Infotypes and Operations and for Infotype 0001 check what is the operation that you have maintained.. It should be "change" to avoid the error message.
For PA40 action you would have configured the same as "change" thats why you are not getting error message in PA40.

How to Edit a custom HCM form directly after Employee selection?

Hi All,
As per the requirement, the Manager should have a tab in Portal called "Forms and Processess" and on click of that he should see a Page with few hyperlinks . Each hyperlink is the name of a HCM Form.
So, the Manager will click on one of them to start a particular form. ex. One time payment
After clicking, he should have the Employee search result having Direct reports under STEP "Select Employees".. But the next STEP has to be "Edit" instead of "Select Process" and the Form "One time payment" should directly Open for him to work on.
Please help me providing the relevant information and the approach. Let me know if you need any additional information.

we do have selection of employees or search and you can choose a form?
If you want to change it, then only option is WD ABAP Iviews custom
But i still didnt fathom the need of teh approach above, does the standard doesnt meet the requurement? Please check it

Attachment Buttons not coming in Task TS17900101 of HCM Forms and Process

We are using HCM Forms and process for changing employee organization unit which is linked with workflow for approvals.
In this workflow we are calling standard task TS17900101 .Till now every thing is working fine but the problem is with attachments as their is a requirement to show attachments button with this Approve and Reject Task. But as per my knowledge SAP has not given any option to attach documents with this task which is however only possibe through TS17900100.
So can u suggest any way to attach documents with Approve and Reject Task which is TS17900101.

SQL Verification Problem / Muse Form Issue (Server uses MySQL muse uses SQLite) I'm in desperate need of help

       Alright well here is my issue... I have been trying to fix it on my own for the past week non stop and I have finally came to a solid conclusion as to the cause of the issue.
   I always get the error "The server has encountered an error..." in red text when anyone tries to submit a form and also when I try and test it myself. This led me to test the server / site for compatibility or issues by using the test:

I got the first two checks green (pass) and the third test threw a red check meaning I was having an issue with SQL verification. This then led me to days of trying to work with my hosting provider (one.com) trying to solve the problem and I was told that they use mySQL on their servers and that they couldn't do anything on their end to solve the issue. I read alot that we are recommended in this case to try and get our host to add the SQLite database to their server or whatever it is they would do, long story short I guess many people are able to ask their host to make SQLite work and most accept and add SQLite functionality to their servers but unfortunately my hosting provider doesn't want to do this and they said they were sorry and that I would need to either switch the script to work with mySQL or figure something else out...
   I took a lot of time building my site and I dont want to take the form out. I absolutely need it... I know many post on here saying "forms dont work, oh poop " or "adobe sucks I dont want to use business catalyst grrr" but I tried to find the source of the problem and I've successfully came to the conclusion that my issue is that my script wants to use SQLite but in order for my sites forms to work the server needs to have SQLite as well... My idea is that if I can configure the script and the site itself to use mySQL instead of SQLite the SQL verification will then not be an issue and my websites forms will function with no issues. I am curious if a member of the staff with adobe has experience with this particular issue and can help me out? or if a member of the adobe community has solved this problem? If not I am hoping that with the description I provided that someone with knowledge of mysql, sqlite or code in general could help me modify the script or write a new script that will allow the forms to work properly. I know its a long shot, I say that because this discussion is full of people who used muse in favor of dreamweaver because just like a large number of people in the muse discussion area, I'm a graphic designer, with plenty of computer experience, art and design skill and I am extremely familiar with photoshop. Muse is perfect in so many ways. In fact, like I mentioned above, I don't even have a complaint at this time about muse. I understand the form issue in this case, and I imagine in thousands of other users situations, is all just a matter of scripts and compatibility.. Its just a little issue between the SQLite scripts we are all given when we export our muse website and the SQL version our various hosting service may be using on their servers.
   Just incase I missed anything, to provide just a bit more info on the topic and myself for anyone who may be able to help:
I can alter the text inside of the scripts easily if anyone happens to know any lines of code that easily solve this issue (making the muse contact forms, which are native to SQLite, functional on a server using mySQL)
I was told one way I could make the forms work on a server using mySQL (or any version other than SQLite) If I were to make changes to adobe muses SQL version by converting the SQLite db to mySQL db (db = database)
I am computer literate and I can take any directions necessary, I really just need to get this done, I really appreciate any help I can get!!
