HCP course - issues with authorization panel in cockpit

I am unable to assign the required authorizations for the feedback service. In fact my authorizations screen in the HCP cockpit looks very different from what Rui see's on his screen. I do not have a column called Account. I only see columns for Application and Role.
When I try to assign a new role I have no option to specify the account!
Is this yet again another issue where those of use with original HCP trial account user-id's are missing new functionality? My account is p1081110.
3 weeks into the course an I'm still unable to complete the practical exercises from Week 1. Both this accounts issue and also the outstanding issue about not being able to activate the paldemo folder!

Hi Experts,
There was an issue with authorizations for BPS. We have a large number of agents that need to enter plan data via a layout. In order to control the necessary authorizations, we would like to filter via something similar to a user exit using a function module in order to avoid having to define authorization objects for each of the agents who have access to the systems. Right now, we are not sure if there is user exit concept available as it is for BW variables. Any body experienced similar issue may share their experience.

Hi,
In BPS, you can use user specific variables or you can set up a Variable of type exit. You can also have a variable of type authorization which uses the security / authorization of the BW system.

Having issues with BC panel in DW

Hi,
i'm having trouble with the BC panel in DW:
- I'm getting an error message, saying that Configuration:Shared:BC:JS:bc_sites.js is running for a long time. This window pops up from time to time, resolving is possible but annoying. (Deleting configuration folder and rebuilding it). But the error message returns after a few days.
- Loggin in with BC panel from DW always takes two times, as the panel does not react the first time, I also have to login each time I restart DW or change a site. No way of staying logged in. Thats annoying.
- The panel renders the content in a smaller area then the panel is, so if you increase width of panel, content stays narrow. Thats weird.
Would be nice to take care of this BC panel issues, as the BC panel is an important part of BC-DW workflow.

Issue with Authorization

Dear All,
I am in BI 7 environment.
I am giving an authorization to the user based on Sales Grp. Now the report is getting filtered based on Sales Grp but the key figures values are all zero.
As an administrator i can see all the values clearly but the Restricted user i not being able to see the key figures values.
Any inputs please.

Ok,
If it doesn't show any authorization error/warning is because the issue probably is not in authorization.
Off course you can run the report with the test user restricted to that sales group and your user also restricting the same sales group in BEx to see if you have the same values.
Also trigger st01 with your user while you're executing and with the test user also and compare the st01 log between your execution and the test user execution.

Issue with Authorization sync job in GRC 10.1

I am facing below issue while running the authorization sync job in 10.1 after importing the configuration data as part of migration from 5.3 to 10.1.
we have GRC server and plugin system on the same SP level 04.
Error:
Error in GRCAC101EC; Reason Error in RFC; 'Function module "/GRCPI/GRIA_AUTH_G
PFCG authorization sync failed with errors
Thr RFC connection is working fine and the connector settings are done in GRC. Also the RFC user has SAP_ALL.

Issue with authorization objects

Hi,
We are running on ECC 6 . There is an issue while adding t-codes to a role.
When we add a transaction code in the Menu tab, for eg, a Z transaction code, it throws up a whole lot of open authorization objects under the authorization tab (open authorizations under FI, MM, so on). The open values proposed are all the default values in SU24. This happens even if we use the 'Read old status and merge with the new'. Our check indicator maintenance for all t-codes seem to be fine. Pls advise.

They are populated again if they were deleted during the earlier maintenance or are in a changed status of the original authorization where new values in SU24 are proposing something different.
That is why you should never delete standard or maintained authorizations and try to avoid the copy & change strategy by maintaining SU24 to meet your needs.
It shounds like SU24 is not as "fine" as you have stated before hand.

Issues with color panel and other windows on right side of flash

Ok the issue I'm having with flash is that the windows on the right side of my flash window do not snap up when I collapse a window. I am attaching a screen shot to better explain this issue.
As you can see I have the color panel collapsed up, when I expand this panel and it goes down everything shifts down. however when I collapse it back up a huge gap is left behind in CS5.5 as is displayed in screen shot number 2. In CS4 I never had this problem. I could expand and collapse panels as I saw fit with no problems what so ever. Everytime now that I expand a panel and collapse it, the library or other panels do not move up with the collapsing. This causes a workspace issue. and forces me to drag up the library via the black line that is just above it but below the align panel so that I have better access to my library or properties panel for when I'm working. I find this highly annoying and would like it if there could be a fix produced to make it so this collapsing issue can be fixed and I don't have to waste time dragging up the library/properties panel everytime I need to access stuff in my library when I have a huge list of graphics I'm going through.

Sounds like the script was tested on a version of the OE schema with no index organized tables.
You can try altering the script and adding a filter to ignore IOT type tables....
So change the following

Authorization issue with upload functionality

Hi,
I have issue with authorization with upload functionality.
we have country as authorization relavant field. if we are giving some country authorization to user it is giving authorization error at upload functionality.
But if we give all country authorization than it is working fine.
Could you guide me how to avoid this situation. We can not give all country authorization to all the users.

Hi Naman,
For SAP BPS
Here while defining a variable you can set the user authorization and can determine which all records can be seen by the user.
For eg. Create a variable for country with replacement type User-specific values. Here you can assign values to a particular user id.

Problem with Accordion Panels

Hi
I have an issue with Accordion Panels.

You can see in the link above that I have Accordion Panels on the right side that say open/close tip. The first one open and close and displays the tip. All the others do the same but when they open then push the one under it down. The first one does not do this and I like this a lot better. Any ideas how to make them all work the way the first one "Enter the Character's name" works.

An issue with authentication and authorization on ISE 1.2

Hi, I'm new to ISE.
I have an issue with authentication and authorization.
I have ISE 1.2 plus patch 6 installed on VMware.
I have built-in Windows XP supplicant and 2960 cisco switch with IOS c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE5.bin
On supplicant I use EAP(PEAP) with EAP-MSCHAP v2.
I created authentication and authorization rules with Active Directory as External Identity Source. Also I applied authorization profile with DACL.I login on Windows XP machine under different Active Directory accounts. Everything works fine (authentication, authorization ), but only for several hours. After several hours passed , authentication and authorization stop working . I can see that ISE trying authenticate and authorize users, but ISE always use only one account for authentication and authorization . Even if I login under different accounts ISE continue to use only one last account.
I traied to reboot switch and PC,but it didn’t help. Only rebooting of ISE helps. After ISE rebooting, authentication and authorization start to work properly for several hours.
I don’t understand is it a glitch or I misconfigured ISE or switch, supplicant?
What should I do to resolve this issue?

Yes. Tried that (several times) didn't work. 5 people in my office, all with vers. 6.0.1 couldn't access their gmail accounts. Kept getting error message that username and password invalid. Finally solved the issue by using Microsoft Exchange and "m.google.com" as server and domain and that the trick. Think there is an issue with imap.gmail.com and IOS 6.0.1. I'm sure the 5 of us suddently experiencing this issue aren't the only ones. Apple will figure it out. Thanks.

Authorization Issue with ODS

Dear all,
I have an authorization issue with two ODS.
One I activated for BEx reporting --> Is working fine in Dev, but I get error with
missing authorization in QUA, althought some authorizations.
Same issue with a newly created ODS, which works in Dev, but gives an error
with missing authorization in QUA.
What can be the reason for this? Any input is highly appreciated!

Hi,
check that the role(s) are transported from your DEV and your QA, and that the user has the correct role(s)
Check as well in your QA transaction RSSM for your ODSs objects; it might be that by transporting the ODS, some authorizations have been applied by default.

Issues with Analysis Authorization on Infoset

Hi all
We are facing an issue with Analysis Authorization on Infoset, it doesnt seem to throw authorization error when we access a record that is outside the authorization. We tried to use the same authorization set up from the same user we try to access the a record that is outside the authorization it behaves correctly.
Here is my setup

When I tried to access ZA12 it should throw an authorization error but for infoset it doesnt seem to work. Is there anything that we should take note for Infoset?

I believe navigational attribute was already a authorization relevant in your case.
What and where did you set it as authorization relevant to make it work on infosets.

Issues with Analysis Authorization checks in APO

Hi Friends,
I am facing an issue with Analysis authorization checks in APO.
We have setup user access based on Management Entity (Analysis authorization - AGMMGTENT and 0TCAACTVT) and core APO authorizations (based on the work profile - e.g: Demand Planner).
Scenario: Consider User A has access to India and Australia Management Entities with 0TCAACTVT - *
This user also has display access to all management Entities (AGMMGTENT - * and 0TCAACTVT - 03). This scenario works very well in Quality where the RSECADMIN trace shows check on both Characteristics. However in Production the RSECADMIN trace shows up only against AGMMGTENT (*) and by default takes 0TCAACTVT as (*).
In Quality the Characteristics that get checked are as below : and it works as expected. Display access for Management Entities that are supposed to be displayed only and change access to only the Management Entities that it should.
However the Trace for Production shows the following : As a result it is allowing the user to change access to all management Entities. Which is not desirable..
Resultant trace results are as below: This should not happen..
I have compared all Analysis Authorizations and it is same across both Instances. The Demand planner access is consistent too..
Will it be possible for you to advise on what could I be missing.

If it helps, in Quality: the Authorization checks are listed as: Subselection (Technical SUBNR) 1
while in Production it checks Subselection (Technical SUBNR) 1 in one place, however where it fails - the check happens as Subselection (Technical SUBNR) 0.
Is there a way we can change this to SUBNR 1. Is there any table entry that I can look at to check if the Authorization check is functioning incorrectly..
