HD 30p (progressive) export presets for download here

Hello
A couple of days ago I asked about exporting HD  1920 x 1080  (and also 1280 x 960) in progressive mode. All the full HD presets in PrE 8 are interlaced.
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/645628?tstart=30
Thanks to AT Romano guidance, I created all the export presets I needed, which I provide here for download, if anybody wants them.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U7IMK7NA
You have to un-zip them and put them here
C:\Documents and Settings\your-username\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Elements\8.0\SC\Presets\PC\MPEG\HD
There are 2 MP4 presets (H.264 + AAC) and 2 MPEG2 presets:
HD MP4 1280x960 30p.epr
HD MP4 1920x1080 30p.epr
HD MPEG2 1280x960 30p.epr
HD MPEG2 1920x1080 30p.epr
Gonza

I have one questions concerning these. I am running Windows 7 64bit with PE8, Where should I put unzip these files too?
the directory you described:
C:\Documents and Settings\your-username\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Elements\8.0\SC\Presets\PC\MPEG\HD
does not exist on my computer.
I tried to look and see if I had any comparable folders but i'm not finding them.
Anyone have any idea where a Windows 7 user can unzip these brilliant life-saving files too?
thanks!

  • Export Presets for Plugins not showing when a "-" occurs in the pathname

    Hi,
I thought I might post this here in case some users are perplexed when a plug-in is installed but doesn't show in the "Export with Preset" panel. A couple commonly affected are ColorChecker Passport and HDR Efex Pro 2 (well these are the ones I use).
Typically is is because the User Name for your PC (Windows) has a "-" in the name and the only way to fix it is to move those plugin directories out of the Lightroom/Modules entry to a Root Directory without a dash in the name.
What really annoys me about this is that I reported it to Adobe as a Bug over a year ago at the following link and there was never any acknowledgement:  http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/export_presets_for_plugins_not_showi ng_when_a_occurs_in_the_pathname
Really this is not the level of professionalism we expect from Adobe!
Anyway this may help if some people have come up against this issue,
    Don.

Hi I am using Sun's JSF implementation on WAS 6.1. I have hard-code rendered="false" for a component in my jsp, Now on server side, even if I set setRendered(true) for the component, it does not reflect on screen. Any idea? When exactly do you do that? Sounds like you're doing it after the render response phase, which is already too late then.
Also, why hardcoding and doing it the hard way instead of using a bean property? E.g. rendered="#{bean.show}" or so.

  • Is it possible to create a new preset for Export/Quicktime Conversion ?

    Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to make a new export preset for the Export with Quicktime Conversion, in FCE HD 3.5
I am working on preparing a file for YouTube, and finding that some of the video effects render differently when exported, so I am having to render a couple of tests, but with YouTube's new 640x360 16:9 format, there is no easy way to do this other than checking the settings at each export. If one could make a new preset, it would be much easier. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    t

    thankyousir.
I think that Apple could add this, easily, as a feature to what, essentially, is QT Pro, and its embedded brother in FCE. Apple could also release a tiny update for QT including the new YouTube format... I haven't checked if iMovie knows about this new resolution, though it does upload directly to the tube itself.
    Thanks for your time,
    T

  • Export multiple resolutions/formats/versions in single export preset

I would like to be able export multiple resolutions of a project at the same time into separate folders. I can kind of do this now by having multiple export presets and running each of them right after the other and then letting them export simultaneously. Even though the export preset has a folder name specified, I have to manually type in the unique project name into each export preset. Unfortunately  this becomes a little bit cumbersome as I often use 3 or 4 export presets for each project, and I may be exporting multiple projects at the same time. Obviously it makes sense to just type the unique text once (or have it automatically read from metadata) to avoid typos and make it easier on me.
I think there are two parts to make this work. The first is using metadata to name the folder name (to ensure unique foldernames), and the second is to allow "export preset groups" that export multiple presets together.
    Here is my scenario:
    I have three export presets:
600px saves to subfolder "project 600px for web"
2400px saves to subfolder "project 2400px for print"
600px watermark saves to subfolder "project 600px watermark"
So I have to type the real project name, replacing "project" three times for each project. This information could be easily entered automatically because lightroom already has that metadata in the folder name, or collection name.
This could be entered for the folder name in the same way custom file naming is done with the Filename Template Editor.
Another option would be use the Custom Text field in the Filename Template Editor to manually enter the project name if it's not already in some metadata field.
All of this already works great with the file name options, it just needs to be applied to the folder name as well.
Once the folder naming is taken care of, just group multiple presets into a preset group, or allow to select multiple presets at once, and exporting multiple resolutions/formats/versions of a group of images is made easy.

    Thanks Rob
Your export plugin does allow running multiple export presets in a single group, however it still doesn't address the folder naming issue. Using your tool, I can easily initiate my multiple presets in a single export, however I am stuck using the generic foldername that I specified in my original export preset. This means that after the export completes, I still have to rename the folders to the particular project name. I would save the time of typing the project name into lightroom, but then just have to repeat that same task later outside of lightroom. It also prevents me from exporting two projects at the same time (or one after the other) because both projects would end up in the same generically named folders.
That said it is a useful plugin that I will likely use under the specific scenarios where it does work.

  • Best image EXPORT settings for best quality

What should i have my export settings at when exporting to a jump drive to give to clients for web and printing use???
When i see my images uploaded on Facebook for example, the qulity looks poor which worries me that when printing the quality will be poor as well. Am i missing something in the setting for exporting? What is the proper way to export for the best quality image? HELP!

The information provided was helpful, but did not completely answer my question...
Are there specific settings with-in Aperture I can set for exporting so that clients have the ability to print as wanted and post on the web as wanted whithout losing any major amount of photo quality?
No, not for one size fits all.
I do appreciate this may be a frustrating answer, but non-the-less, that's how it is.
    t_hall10 wrote:
Should I be gving 2 folders of pictures, one for web use and one for printing use? If I were to do that, what should the exporting setting be set for both folders?
    Maybe, it's your choice.
    Let's go through the settings.
The only real quality setting is for JPG compression. 12 is virtually no (lossless) compression but gives huge file sizes which may breach a websites limits.
A 16MP images on quality 12 will be about 22MB. 11 brings it down to 8MB and 10 down to 7MB. You'd be very hard pressed to see the difference between a 12 and a 10. But if you want to feel you are giving the best quality without the extreme file size, go for 11.
The the vast majority of web sites, like facebook, will either resize uploaded images and/or re-compress them. They may also crop them to a different aspect ratio to fit their browser software.
Many report the best size for upload to facebook, for small images is 960 pixels on the long side. For large images it's 2048. For different websites it may be different. It is discussed on many photography sites and blogs. You will find some promoting the 960 / 2048, and others with their own preferences. Here's a good one which also shows you many ways FB will mess with the images:
    http://havecamerawilltravel.com/photographer/images-photos-facebook-sizes-dimens ions-types
The safest colour space is sRGB (Mac profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1) as it will more often be right than wrong. You should preview your images on screen with this profile to get a feel for how it will look and avoid unexpected colour shifts in your files. Ideally your screen should be calibrated so you know what you are giving them is accurate.
To understand the printing issue, try this exercise:
If you have a printer installed on your Mac, it probably also installed some printer profiles. In Aperture, look at one of your nicer vibrant images. From the view menu turn on 'Onscreen Proofing' and then from the 'Proofing Profile' sub menu, select one of your printer profiles and look at how the onscreen image changes. Repeat with each of the printing profiles and see how the image changes each time.
This is only a fraction of the colour shifts that will be occuring after you give your file to someone and they print it on their own uncalibrated system with their uncalibrated printer.
Many photographers don't offer full size images to their clients. They will usually give them smaller versions for their own use, which may include small size printing.
They will either do the main printing themself on their own calibrated printer, or work with a print shop, and may have installed calibrated profiles on their system for the shops printing equipment so they can use onscreen proofing to gauge what the pictures will look like when printed on that equipment.
But if you are just giving a file to someone, you lose all control of how they will print it. Even experienced photographers and computer users can struggle to make the prints match close to what they look like on screen.
Most often photos will appear too dark, or the colours look wrong, or it lacks sharpness. There are some settings on the export presets for gamma and blackpoint compensation. Gamma will brighten the image for when it's printing too dark, and blackpoint will try to stop the shadows turning black (within the chosen colour space). But as you don't know in advance whether the images are going to print too dark, or the shadows are turning black, you can't really set these for a one-size fits all scenario.
So there are not many settings to help you here.
You are actually moving into the realm of defining your product. You could, for example, ask the client which site they intend to publish the photos on, research that site and produce files optimized specifically for that site.
You also need to decide what size (resolution) files to give them for printing and whether you are happy giving away your full size images.
These choices will lead you to a number of a different files sizes as 'your product', all should be in sRGB colour space, and all with quality 10 or 11. For any client's who know how to make use of a wider clour space like Adobe RGB for printing, they will probably ask you up front to supply the print versions as such.
Next, for each size and usage, you now need to sharpen these images.
This is because sharpeing is best applied to images that have been resized to their intended output size and should be sharpened in accordance with how they will be viewed. Images displayed on computer screen generally need less sharpening than those that will be printed. Depening on the printer, the images may need some oversharpening in the file, in order to appear crisp and sharp in the print. As you won't be controlling the printing process you should probably avoid oversharpening. The bottom line is, if people are taking on the task of their own printing, they'll need to figure out what they are doing to get good results, or use a commercial printer.

  • Is there a way of setting up one more than one export preset to a funcion key?

    Hi
is there a way of setting up Lightroom to export images in using more than one export preset at one time? When I have edited my photos I very often want to create a full res JPEG to upload to Zenfolio with no watermark, a medium res JPEG to go to Flickr and a 1500px image with a watermark for Facebook (I normally upload these last). I'm hoping Lightroom would also have a an option to set Function keys to trigger export presets for example.
I'd like to be able to stack export presets to help with my workflow.
    Thanks

  • Help! How do I install export presets into CS4 (Mac)?

I'm technologically impaired, and attempting to install my school's export presets for Premier Pro CS4. I have two exec files  ending in the file type "sqpreset", and no idea where to put them or what to do with them. I'm trying to solve a moire problem with my animation exports. Hellllllp!

    >believe the files were created at the school
I have never tried to install something created by a person from a group of presets (I am also on Windows, not Mac) so I think you are going to have to hope that someone comes along who knows how presets are copied to external file(s) on a Mac, to then be installed or placed on a different computer
What does the help file and/or online user guide say about exporting and importing presets?

    Hi Guenter
Just so you know. You should remove the download trial link from the official addt page on this site. It is there for download, but nothing happens. I was expecting a notification as promised on email, when addt was released. But no such email.
I have after a total reinstall of all my system MAC OSX 10.5.6 finally succeeded in installing all of Design Premium CS4. (Shame on adobe for making this such a hastle!!!).
But when i install ADDT 1.0.1 downloaded today it appears in my extensionmanager, but nowhere to be found in DW CS4. I have restarted DW before checking and all seems to appear ok in Extension Manager.

  • Export preset settings for Print Media?

i am about to set down and follow rudy gay's tutorial on exporting images with a logo overlay (thanks for all the help in finding this document) and i am wondering if there are an expert or two on the list that might be able to share screenshots of their export presets.
i have gotten to the point where i have applied metadata to imagery and i had a request recently to send in images that are larger than 1 MB but i have been really confused as to what i am doing here. for instance, i have three projects that were created by importing folders of images from this person which have imagery:
    "print" project = 24.75 MB 2400 x 3600 px
    "ppt" project = 505 KB and1024 x 683 px
    "web" project = 324 KB 1024 x 683 px
i /think/ all of these are 72 dpi but i am not sure how to check this.
plus, i just ran an export as JPG at 100% size from the PRINT project and they all landed on my desktop at something over 1 - 4 MB in size.
basically, i am hoping that someone wouldn't mind sharing their settings and perhaps a little bit of an explanation so i can start to teach myself how to make this work better over here.
i realize that some of these things may be considered particular to an individual or even proprietary in some way but anything i can get on this will put me much farther ahead than i am now.
    TIA
    jon

I apologize for not getting to this sooner.
How are you viewing the PDF that shows the discoloration? Acrobat or some other application? Is overprint preview turned on in Acrobat?
This is definitely transparency related. When you choose PDF 1.3 you are flattening the transparency and the white lines you see are called "stitching." Thay ae a dispaly artifact in Acrobat (they'll disappear if you turn off smoothing), and though they may show in a low-resolution digital print, they are usually not apparent in high-resolution output from a press.

  • User Presets for Exporting Files

I want to create a user preset for exporting full size jpegs to a folder to be named later. Whenever I try and save it Lightroom defaults to email. How can I resolve this?
    Here are my settings:
    Lightroom 4.2
    export to hard drive
    choose folder later
    jpeg format
    Adobe RGB
    quality=95
    Thanks

So, where is the emailing part coming in? Is it not being saved with 'Hard Disk' as the export service ('Export To' field in Export Dialog Box). Or is it being saved OK, but then when you go to use it the problem presents.
Feel free to post the contents of the associated .lrtemplate file in the body of your next post. (hint: 'Show Lightroom Presets Folder' button in Lr preferences dialog box).

  • Assistance Setting Presets for Exporting to .FLV

I need assistance in customizing the presets for exporting a file to .flv format. Here is what I need Abode to export TO:
    .flv
    320x240
    4:3
    800kbps
    29-97 fps
    audio - 44 khz 66kbps stereo

    Jesse_Martinez(Calvary)
    Your requirements are stated as
    .flv
    320x240
    4:3
    800kbps
    29-97 fps
    audio - 44 khz 66kbps stereo
You can accomplish nearly all in Premiere Elements 12, but there is a problem achieving the exact audio sampling rate/bitrate combination that you list.
In Premiere Elements 12, go to Publish+Share/Computer/Adobe Flash Video and select Presets = FLV - Web Large NTSC Source (Flash 8 or Higher)  On2VP6 MP3 FLV
Under the Advanced Button/Video Tab, make adjusts
Remove the link between Frame Width and Height and type in
    Frame Width = 320
    Frame Height = 240
Bitrate = 800 kbps (kilobits per second)
Under the Advanced Button/Audio Tab, make adjusts
    Output Channel = Stereo
Bitrate Settings - now here is where it get tricky...there is no set for sampling rate/frequency = 44 KHz or other. And, there is no audio bitrate of 66 kbps (closest is 64 kbps), There appears to be a sampling rate associated with the export, but viewable once you have the export and look at its properties in a program such as MediaInfo.
    Here is what I found
if the audio bitrate = 64 kbps, then the sampling rate is 22.05 KHz
if the audio bitrate = 80 kbps, then the sampling rate is 22.05 KHz
if the audio bitrate = 96 kbps, then the sampling rate is 44.1 KHz
if the audio bitrate = 128 kbps, then the sampling rate is 44.1 KHz
Are there trade offs for you or must you have those exact values that you posted?
    H.264 AAC F4V
If you were to export your Timeline as F4V, then you would have the opportunity to set sampling rate 44.1 KHz and bitrate 64 kbps.
We can discuss other not mentioned settings later once we have worked through the core ones.
    Please review.
    Thanks.
