HD Cloning or how to copy full HD

Hello to all,
I have a Mac Pro with the 250 gb stock hard drive, I just bought 4 750 gb disk and I want to arrange them in a raid configuration, I know how to do that, the only problem that I have is that I don't know how to copy all the information from my old HD to the new raid, I read on another post that it is better to install all the applications again, but I really don't want to do that because it is time consuming and I don't have the patience to do an all programs installation again.
Is there an easy way to just copy or drag all the information from one drive to the other?

I don't know what your specific needs are. If you need the storage space then I suppose you make the most effective use of it by creating a large striped RAID with very fast 3 TBs of storage. If you can afford another four drives and an external case you can create another RAID to use as backup.
However, if you can get by with 1.5 TBs of storage then I would create two striped RAIDs - Drives 1 and 2 for one; and Drives 3 and 4 for the other. Then get some good backup software and do regular scheduled backups of one RAID to the other. This provides storage space and backup but no protection against drive failure.
Basic Backup
You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
1. Retrospect Desktop (Commercial - not yet universal binary)
2. Synchronize! Pro X (Commercial)
3. Synk (Backup, Standard, or Pro)
4. Deja Vu (Shareware)
5. PsynchX 2.1.1 and RsyncX 2.1 (Freeware)
6. Carbon Copy Cloner (Freeware - 3.0 is a Universal Binary)
7. SuperDuper! (Commercial)
The following utilities can also be used for backup, but cannot create bootable clones:
1. Backup (requires a .Mac account with Apple both to get the software and to use it.)
2. arRSync
Apple's Backup is a full backup tool capable of also backing up across multiple media such as CD/DVD. However, it cannot create bootable backups. It is primarily an "archiving" utility.

If storage space is not the essential goal then I would mirror Drive 1 to Drive2 and Drive 3 to Drive 4. Then use backup software to backup one to the other. This provides backup and drive failure protection.

To delete files from your external HDD, attach it to your MBP and drag the unwanted files to trash and then empty trash.
Then you select the files that you want to transfer by 'drag and drop' to the external HDD and trash the files on your MBP.

I need help transferring my playlist into my iTunes 12 library. My computer crashed and I was only able to get my music library re-installed in iTunes but my playlists did not show up. Does anybody know how to copy playlists from my I-pod classic into the iTunes 12 .

I have two scripts for recovering data from devices; ImportDevicePlaylists to import the playlists, and SyncStats to import the ratings and play/skip counts/dates.
The user tip Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device has more information on recovering content from devices, but if you have all of the media then the scripts above will probably cover everything that else than can usefully be recovered, though you should still backup and then restore iOS devices.

I have over 30 iPhoto Libraries. Managing them is great using iPhoto Library, but keyword management is awful (if iPLM has a way I haven't found it). I would like to know how to copy keywords from one library to another. It's a pain to have to continually doing manual setup.

With that many photos you might consider using one of the high end DAM (digital asset management) applications. I use Media Pro 1. It uses catalogs of thumbnails that are linked to the photos on your hard drive, CDs or wherever. A single catalog can hold 250,000 images. It uses Catalog Sets like Events in iPhoto. There are Categories which are like albums in iPhoto. Those and Catalog Sets are virtual. You can batch rename files once in the catalog either by date or text. The folders holding the photos on the hard drive can be set up auto update in the catalog so when you add a photo to the folder it will appear in the catalog. You can add keywords, hierarchical keywords, descriptions, etc. and write them back to the original file.
It has some built in editing capability and versioning capability. Clicking on a keyword will display all photos with that keyword quickly. Searches can be made across multiple catalogs and have the results displayed in a new catalog.
I use it as my primary DAM and iPhoto for special projects like books, etc. The catalogs can be viewed and keywords, descriptions added, etc. without the original files being available. You just can't do any editing, slideshows or anything that requires the full sized file.

I realise you're not an abaper, but if you got one in, he could simply create a subclass of /SAPPSSRM/CL_FY_NUMBER (assuming it's not been made final) and override only the method that needs changing. ( if it is final, then you have to use composition, but again, that's pretty straight forward ). The point is, that copy a class rarely, if ever, needs to be done. That's one of the major points about using classes. If you use subclassing or composition, only small amounts of code need to be copied - which means if SAP change other bits in a new release, you automatically get them, thereby reducing the risk of an upgrade mucking up your cloned class.
I'd be extremely nervous about having any code that had been implemented by a non-developer, being put into productive use.

Time Machine Files - How To Copy

Short story: I am trying to transfer my Time Machine files from one external hard drive to another. I followed the instructions at the following Apple link:

This did not work. When I started up Time Machine on the new drive, Time Machine indicated that the old backups were there, but when I tried to access them, Time Machine could not find them.

Long Story: I got a new external 2 TB external to replace my 1.5 TB. I wanted to use the new one for Time Machine and iTunes. I stupidly did not partition it. This is a problem since Time Machine will fill up a hard drive. I tried using Disk Utility to partition after the fact, but I kept getting an error. So I followed the instructions in the Apple link and copied "Backups.backupdb" back to my old drive, reformatted and repartitioned my new drive, then copied "Backups.backupdb" back. Now Time Machine cannot find my old backups, although they appear to exist in the time line. When I look at "Backups.backupdb" there are a bunch of alias that do not link to anything.
So I assume there must be some hidden files.
Have I messed up my year of Time Machine backups and need to start over?

I know it's tempting to want to use all the vast space on a large drive your not using, the problem is when your hardware fails, it takes both backup partitions with it when it goes.
Have multiple copies of your personal data on separate hardware, in separate locations, using easily accessible means and maintain two copies of your personal data off the machine at all times.
Your at that stage where you need more options than TimeMachine provides, you might want to consider cloning.
With cloning you could have just cloned the entire drive to another one no sweat, also you can access the files directly from any computer, Mac, Windows or Linux machine. Plus you can boot from cloned drives and do other things, like data recovery etc.

How ever, I have a problem on creating my first BC Sets. Should I creat a BC Sets as my template via copy existing customizing data? I seen some existing BC Sets which arenot I want. We implemented big5 modules for some company codes. I want to copy one of them as my BC Sets template. I won't create it manually because I worried about I will miss some data if I select these data one by one. I cannot find out a Full-BC Sets template contains all customizing data. Could you please give me some guide. I cannot ensure my understanding of BC Sets. Please correct it if I have wrong idea.

- Using T-code ME21N - Create Purchase Order, Enter the t-code on top of the menu click 'Document Overview ON' button and within the ME21N screen left side small screen opened and the screen 'Selection Variant' button click shown multiple options 'Purchase Orders' option selected and new screen opened given input data Purchasing Document __________ (1000002782) and click clock(execute) button the purchase order number shown 15 times (if previous PO line items 15) and press shift button+click mouse selected all lines and click 'Adopt' button (next to selection variant button).
Now, all line items(15 items) copied to new PO and click 'document overview off' button the left side menu closed and now shown ME21N full screen on the monitor.
After that you have change PO document type, vendor, po date, quantity,rate and all line items tax codes and checked PO and then SAVE. New PO number generated.

You may first download the 'Application Installer' thru' the link in the post above to a PC that has Internet connection... Copy it on a Pen Drive.. Transfer to other PC that doesn't have an Internet connection and then Install it...

Hi you can use this function module to move a file from application server to another folder on application server.
call function 'WS_FILE_COPY'

Plus u can use this function module to delete the file from that folder from which u want to replace it.
      call function 'WS_FILE_DELETE'

The copy works fine if I remove the long column from the CREATE TABLE "Tmp_CB_REPORT" statement
and the cursor copy statement. Any help is appreciated.

What I think you should do is to turn your long into a LOB. LOBs are much malleable than LONGs. I suggest you have a look at the documentation for DBMS_LOB. You can create a function using DBMS_LOB that uses a temporary CLOB to reas your long column an dreturn a CLOB.
