HD Export/Render issues Premiere CS3

Hey, I've had this problem for a while now and just cant seem to figure out how to fix it.
A while back I purchased a Hauppauge HD-PVR for capturing Xbox 360 footage in HD. Everything works fine until I try to export the footage. Once it's done exporting and I review the video, the feed gets all messed up and pixelated at times.
EX: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phzsxWIM6ao
I've looked at the video immediately after capture and it appears fine. I import the video into Premiere CS3, render the work area, and review the video (while still in Premiere) and it still has no problems. It isn't until it is fully rendered and exported that things get messed up. I've tried a few different things to fix this problem (deinterlacing, frame rate, bitrate) but nothing seems to work. Any advice?

I got the same type of error from attempting an audio only export.  I just upgraded from CS3.  This project was crated in CS3, then converted to CS4.  No other issues with the upgrades.  My only guess is that converting the session from a CS3 to CS4 is the causing this.  Can someone please help?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for those details.  I just noticed that all the avi and wavs are still located in the CS3 folder from the previous installation.  Could that be the hitch?
This project was created in CS3, then converted 2 days ago into a CS4 project.  There was some wierdness on a few things after conversion, but nothing out of the ordinary and CS4 is running like a champ on my system until I attempted to do this bounce.  I am new to Premiere, so I may be missing something as simple as updating filepaths, etc.?
Yes, MP3 is terrible.  I have the v.o. in wav.  Honestly, I didnt notice the music track was in MP3 until gathering project specs for this.  I was planning on replacing that for the final export.  Im using a 3rd party sidechain VST for the ducking in PPro.....Sidekick 4.1:  http://www.twistedlemon.nl/site/
It requires tht you run two instances of the plugin on seperate stereo tracks (still need to deal with the vo track having to be in stereo for now).
    Thanks for your help.

  • Export / render crashes premiere

I tried to export 3 times keeps crashing at 81%.  Just tried to render work area and crashed at 93%. (rendering stops, but premiere not consuming CPU cycles).  Its canon 7d footage.  There are 4 video layers.  Its crashing in a sequence that has nested video inside nested video, with track matte and a fair few effect (but this nested sequence is also at the beginning of the movie, and renders fine there.

  • Playback and render issues Premiere Pro CS6 on Mac

I have been having very "skippy" and sluggish issues when it comes to playback and editing. I have deleted all the old render files from my project and my hard drive, but nothing seems to work. • Exporting problems with Premiere CS3

There is probably going to be a very simple answer to this question however I'm at a loose end.
Whenever I view a video I have just exported from CS3, the frame size keeps changing depending on how far I have zoomed into the frame whilst editing.
    Any ideas?

Yeah, whilst editing I'll adjust/scale the frame, if for example I want to change something from a medium shot into a close up instead. I thought that if you have the margins it should just cut off anything that's outside them, however after the clip is exported, in playback the frame size constantly shifts from shot to shot, when obviously I need it to remain consistant.

  • Export scale issue - Premiere Elements 13

When I export my video, clips which have been Scaled (In Applied Effects) are not matched to the ratio of the rest of the clips. How do I fix this?
Here is a screen grab showing the problem. The clip is supposed to be zoomed in so the model's eyes are not showing. Instead the whole thing is super-imposed over the letterboxing.
    Thank you!

We need to go back to the beginning and evaluate
    a. properties of source media imported into the project -
    video compression
    audio compression
    frame size
    frame rate
    interlaced or progressive
    file extension
    pixel aspect ratio
    b. does the project preset set (1080i30 - 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second) match the properties of your source media
    c. before you leave the Edit area are there any black borders showing in the monitor there?
    c. are the export settings consistent with the project settings?
Please supply the information first for "a", and we will suggest the rest.
Do you have an export requirement...MPEG2.mpg, AVCHD.mp4, or H.264.mov? What frame size do you
want for the export - 1920 x 1080 16:9 or do you really want a SD rather than HD export?
We will be watching for further details.
    Thanks.

  • My Premiere CS3 crashes when I am exporting anything.

Premiere CS3 crashes on my HD project Most of the video i am working with is from the new 5D   The files are as I recorded them on the camera there have been no conversion done to them. when ever I try to export anything out of premiere it crashes and windows Vista 64 crashes with it showing a blue screen and restarting the computer.  I don't know whats the problem. I think it mite be my hard drives or something on the hardware end.
    I am running
E8500 processor with 4 gb of ram DDR3 1600 Asus P5Q3 mob and Ati 4890 graphic card also I have 2 big hardrives and two 500gb drives on Raid.

BSOD can also point to heat, bad RAM, MoBo issue or power supply not adequate, along with Jeff's suggestions.
This ARTICLE might point you in the right direction.
I cannot recall if that article mentions Speedfan, but if it IS a heat issue, that will help you sort it out.

  • Flash to premiere cs3 then export to HD

    Hi
What i need to do is Create a Flash swf, then import to premiere through third part plugin (flash ants, is this good?), then add some audio, then burn it to DVD.
The issue is getting the a good quality video from the export from premiere. i have tried to export as HD 1080i  25 high quality but when i play back the output its all jittery is this due to my machine, i have a pretty grunty one though.
Eventually i would like to create a dvd but it looks like you cant have HD when using Encore so how do i retain the quality?
Also what size should i make my document in Flash. i have tried 720x480 but this proved to be insufficient. i tried doubling that and then shrinking in premiere which seemed to work quite well when exported ad HD (thou jittery).
The reason i want to do this is because we have an expo coming up and i want to create a profile for business i work in. This profile will be displayed on a 40inch HD LCD and run from a DVD where the dvd will have to loop.
The only programs i have are adobe create suite CS3 so we will have to work within these limitations.
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated
    Thanks

My best advice is to create the whole thing in Flash and run it from a Laptop.  Just skip the whole 'video' idea on this one.  It'll ruin your whole day.

  • I have exported a file from premiere cs3 using quicktime animation codec, when i burn it the audio is not there..help!?

    hello.
am having a proble with adobe premiere cs3
i have exported the file as quicktime using the animation codec, with 100per cent quality as it needs to be the highest quality
when i play the file with media player the sound is there, but when i burn it onto a dvd the audio is not there anymore... i really dont understand what i am doing wrong! can anyone help please?
i am using quicktine as im told this the best for optimum lossless quality
if i cannot burn it with audio using the quikctime animation codec, then i might try exporting it as an avi file. if so, what is the best codec to use for lossless quality?
    thankyou!!!!

And when you follow Jim's suggestions, Export as elemental streams, i.e. one Video-only file and one Audio-only file. Encore will like that better.
    Good luck,

  • Photoshop CC - EXPORT - RENDER VIDEO issue, screenshots included

    Hi there,
I´ve created a 25seconds long video in Photoshop CC. When I tried to export it, after I hit Export-Render Video, no dialog box open, it only shows progress bar sayin: Initializing Video Export" and there it stops. My Photoshop and Pc are working fine, nothing is frozen. Im using Windows 8. How can I fix this issue?
Thank you for your help in advance.
    Zdenka

I sometimes get this problem then if I kill Photoshop and try again everything goes smoothly and it renders.  There is something wrong in Photoshop video rendering module - when it fails it seems to get in an endless goto loop or so I guess as it is only using one of the eight cores and hyperthreads available to it, when working properly it uses all eight.  Exactly the same file with exactly the same edits hang without even getting to the stage you illustrate, hang as you illustrate, open the render box and then hang rendering or renders the video perfectly.  Something needs investigating by Adobe.

  • Premiere CS3 and 24p exporting

    Hello,
I've been working on this problem for a long time.
I have some clips shot with a Canon XL2 in 24p mode with 2:3:3:2 pulldown. I import in Premiere CS3 in a 24p project, go in "Interpreter footage" and set "Remove 24p pulldown", and in the timeline the clips are good, 24p without interlaced frames.
Then I go exporting: I want export in 24p (23,97) DV format.
    1) If I choose "Microsoft DV AVI" with "DV (24p Advanced)", the clips I get are in 29,97 with still the flagged frame that should have been removed. So I have the same output format that I get setting DV NTSC with his 29,97 framerate.
    2) If I choose "Microsoft AVI" and then I go with an alternative DV codec, such as the Panasonic's one (but I've tried many and I've got the same results, so I don't think it's their fault), I get a 23,97 clip, but the frame that has been removed is not the flagged and interlaced one, is one of the progressive. Watching the clip frame to frame I see that I have 24 fps: 3 progressive, 1 interlaced, 3 progressive, 1 interlaced, and so on.
Let me know. Sorry for my bad english but I'm italian.
    Thank you

My own testing shows that Premiere doesn't create 24p friendly DV files. I've had much better success creating 24p MPEG2-DVD files.

  • Export from Premiere CS3 Dimmed.

I just installed Premiere CS3. I've compiled a simple sequence of about 200 jpegs and I'm trying to export them to Encore to burn the little show on DVD. The "Export to Encore" option is dimmed in the export menu. I have ran the sequence through the media encoder according to the tutorial on the Adobe website. What I am doing wrong?

  • Premiere CS3 Overlay issue

My machine at work was just upgraded to Premiere CS3 and I've noticed a couple of issues (bugs?) with it. I'll list them separately to keep things nice and neat. I did a search of both the forums and knowledgebase, but was unable to find what I was looking for.
I'm having a rather annoying issue placing clips into my sequence. When I have the Sequence window selected and hit the . key (overlay) to place the clip into the sequence, nothing happens. The edit is never made. The same issue occurs when using the , key (insert). To be able to make the edit, I have to select the Source window, then both overlay and insert work just fine. Anyone else notice this, or is it just my machine?
Again, thanks in advance for any insight into this matter. :)

The insert and overlay keys work from the source monitor. Thats how its supposed to work. Thats why they put the Insert and Overlay Buttons on the source monitor. On the Program Monitor they have Lift and Extract buttons.
None of them work direct from the timeline so thats why the shortcut keys do not work when focussed on the timeline pane.

  • Premiere CS3 Audio Gain issue

My machine at work was just upgraded to Premiere CS3 and I've noticed a couple of issues (bugs?) with it. I'll list them separately to keep things nice and neat. I did a search of both the forums and knowledgebase, but was unable to find what I was looking for.
When adjusting the volume for an audio clip using Audio Gain, the waveform for that clip is being adjusted as well. If you raise the volume, the waveform gets bigger. If you lower the volume, the waveform gets smaller. This wasn't the case in 1.5 and 2.0. Is there a way to disable this in CS3? Adjusting volume levels of, in my case, music tracks (mp3's, wav's) then trying to edit to the beat is much harder now since the waveform for that clip has been made smaller.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys might have. :)

That is awesome...I had not even noticed that happening on the waveforms. For all of the previous issues with waveforms redrawing and such, it's nice to see an improvement in that area.
And yeah, definitely not a bug. Howard's right...your statement alone makes the problem clear when you say you are adjusting volume using audio gain. Audio gain is for input, volume adjusts for output and you are correctly trying to adjust output level but you really ought to use the volume control in the effects tab for that, especially if you intend to increase/decrease volume during the presentation.
    Fun.
