HD File and what format schould save

I bought my first HD Camera a Samsung SC HMX10C. What is the best file
format schould I use to get the hightest quality?

It depends on what your ultimate goal is, Loretta. What type of file you ultimately want to output. And, to a lesser extent, which version of the program you're using.
The HMX10 is a hard drive camcorder, which means the video is saved as MPEG2s inside the camcorder. You can not streaming capture into Premiere Elements.
Your options are:
BEST: Convert any MPEGs to DV-AVIs before you bring them into Premiere Elements. This makes the most efficient use of the program and your system's resources. Here's one way to do it:
http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bc4800e
GOOD SOLUTION: Download the video from the camcorder into your computer using Premiere Elements' Media Downloader, but make sure you've got your video project set up with the preset for hard drive camcorders. You'll likely have to render (press Enter) frequently as you work though.
ALTERNATE SOLUTION: Edit using a program that's built around the MPEG workflow and leave Premiere Elements out of the process completely. That means editing the video with either the program that came with your camcorder or using a program like Sonic MyDVD, an editor which uses "smart rendering" with MPEGs, taking best advantage of the MPEG format.

  • How do I print to file, and what format gets generated?

I was trying to print a web-page to a file so I could connect to my printer later to print. I managed to get the file to appear, but I don't know what its format is! I gave it no extension - my guesses didn't help... Any clues? Thanks!

    Hi m.patterson,
A suitable workaround may be to sidestep the printer software by using some print to pdf add on such as:
    * Print pages to PDF https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/print-pages-to-pdf<br />Home http://printpdf.pf-control.de/index.php/en/help.html

Thanks. When I was using Chrome I was able to print to PDF from printer drop down menu like '''the-edmeister''' suggested, but I've since switched to Firefox and I was a little confused why that option wasn't available from the drop down menu. If an add-on gives me that capability I'm all for it.
Hope everyone has a Happy New Year btw!

You're lacking information. We need to know what software you are using what version it is. What computer system and what version is the operating system.

What does unreadable file and unrecognizable format mean in my iphoto 11?

A number of people have reported issues with some models of Kodak cameras and iPhoto. Reformatting the card with the camera usually solves the issue. Make sure you have the photos off the card first (Image Capture - in your Applications Folder - may help with that) as reformatting will erase the card.

Where are you creating the PDF file, and what is the error that you're receiving? Is it a file that is saved in your Acrobat.com online account?

I have an iMac,  where are the completed print jobs stored on the iMac and what format are they?
    My OSX is 10.10.1

    Hi
If you are using standard system or HP drivers, than the jobs contents are not saved at all.
You can see the list of completed jobs per printer via this URL: http://127.0.0.1:631/printers/
If you want to save a print job, you can do it in the print dialog, by selecting an action prom "PDF" popup.
It allows to save a job (prior or instead to printing it) as PDF or PostScript.

My Mac Book Pro is giving me a message that the start up disk is full, how do I delete files, and what files should I be deleting

There are several nice programs that can help you figure out what's on your computer - OmniDiskSweep, WhatSize, and DaisyDisk are the three I like. If you've had your computer for a while - and especially if this isn't your first Mac and you've been migrating from one computer to another, one of these programs can help you find files you didn't know your computer still had. For example, when I was trying to shed files to fit int a 256GB SSD, I discovered I had nearly 1GB of files in my Application Support folder belonging to programs I no longer used.
Other than that, your easy choice are music, video, and photos. They tend to be the big files. A movie will generally be at least 1.25GB, for example.

  • Flash to DVD.... how and what format

Im trying to get my flash file converted over to a looping
video clip, on DVD that will play on a wide screen TV. Hope some
experts here can help with a few pointers.
    1. I made it 1020x720.... should it actually be.... 1280x720?
    2. I've downloaded several demos of SWF to DVD conversion
softwares, yet none seem to provide the graphics quality once
    converted. What software is best?
    3. What format is best to convert to for the best graphics?
    .AVI, .MOV, .WMV, .MP3?
    3. What's Bitrate do when converting? I assume higher is
    better?
Hope someone here can at least provide me a few expert
pointers on how to best get my flash file to widescreen TV with the
best quality without spending hundreds on additional software. Oh,
and I am using Flash8 if that matters.
    Thanks for any help!!!

    Hello,
i have had also the problem to bring an Flashmovie to DVD in
    widescreen format.
Here is my solution, maybe ist fits your problem, even late:
    - Create Flashmovie with stagesize 1024x576
    - create new symbol and insert all frames into this
    - delete all frames and layer from the maintimeline
    - modify stagesize to 720x576
    - insert an instance of the newly created symbol in the main
timeline and add as much frames as you needed
    - scale the instance in horizontal direction to stagesize,
    its about 70.315%
    - export swf-file
    - convert swf-file to mpeg with an Aspect Ratio 16:9
    Widescreen
(i convert with Adshareit SFW2Video, so i need to insert
    frames as above said)
    - add mpeg-file with DVD-Authoring tool to an DVD
    so thats it.

  • Labview Full 6.1 - You get CIN Tools header files and what else?

We have Labview 6.1 Base Level and are developing 3rd party instrument drivers, initially implementing the AI functions. I have disovered it would be nice to beable to use NumericArrayResize for which we need CIN Tools and may need to upgrade. What else would we get?
    Can we build polymorphic Vis?
Can we include our third party driver in the Measurement and Instrument Explorer?
Can we have DAQ channels registered to our instrument?
Can we create a functions palette for our interface?
Are we able to build a Labview installer for the driver?

You can go to www.ni.com and get a complete list of all the features but briefly, the full version adds analysis, signal processing, custom graphics and animation, CIN/DLL tools. The professional version adds the applicaton builder, source code control, a differencing tool, and polymorphic VI creation.
MAX is for NI hardware and IVI drivers - not LabVIEW instrument drivers. You say that you're using the AI functions which implies an NI DAQ board so the board should already be visible in MAX as well as the channels.
I believe all versions of LabVIEW can create a custom palette. On your function palette, click the Options button and see if there's a Edit Palettes button. If there is, the LabVIEW help can guide you in the creation of your own .mnu fil
es that you can save and distribute.
The application builder (which is also available separately) includes an installer that could probably be used for driver installation but I've never tried it for that. When I've created LabVIEW instrument drivers, all I usually did was zip up the LLB and mnu files, place them in the instr.lib folder and then unzip them.

  • Can I get a list of all binary files and what they do?

I'm a newbie to Oracle. Needless to say I'm blindly muddling my way through the experiance of installations/setup and managing my first database. I realize that there is a three tier system and for my system all three of the tiers are on the same pc! In short I need help with what executables do what. I've tried going through Linux howto's, online docs, and even bought a book on the subject but the book seems to stroke the benifits of using Oracle instead of actually telling me how to use Oracle. I'm using Oracle8i 8.1.7 EE (enterprise edition) on Linux RH 7.0. I would like a link to a list or the actuall list of all the binary files in $OracleHOME/bin/ and what each of them do. Also important log files I should consult regularly would be most helpfull. Thanks.

While you're at it, see if you can get a complete description of all the X$ tables.
