HD graphics 4000 Driver

Hi Im Dan
I have been struggling lately trying to use the Maxon Cinema 4D softwae as it crashes everytime i make a task, and after reading several forums, apparently it happens because i have a graphic card that needs to be updated on my laptop.
I am running a Windows 8, Intel core i5-3210M CPU, 64 Bit OS with 6GB of RAM with an Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphic card all in a Pavilion G6 Laptop
After checking the status of my graphic card online, the HP website (http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu) said that  that i am running the 9.17.10.2828 version of the Graphic card instead of the 15.31.17.64.3257 version of it and apparently the HP sytem can not do the auto update of it so i have to do it manually.
I tried to download the appropriate drive corresponding to the 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with:
Intel® HD Graphics 4000 but it won't install, saying what you can see on the image below
.. So i dont know what to do .. I reaally hope you can help with it, and who is my manufacturer .. Anyway please just tell me what i should do ..
Thank you

Hi Dan. What is the exact model number of your G6?

Using non-HP graphics drivers can disable Switchable Graphics, so it is recommended you use the latest drivers provided by HP for your operating system.
Once you know your model number, you can enter it here to get to the driver page for your notebook.

  • Disabled driver for HD Graphics 4000, now black screen.

I tried to disable HD graphics 4000 so I could use Nvidia NVS 5400M graphics full time, but when I disabled the HD graphics 4000 driver in Device Manager, the screen went black. I tried plugging in a external monitor in the VGA port but nothing happened.
How can I enable this driver again with no screen???
Thanks ahead of time for anyone's help,

Keep in mind that you are always using the HD 4000 unless an application needs the NVS 5400M, that's how Optimus works. You can force Optimus to be used more by preferring it in the Nvidia control panel.

  • Updated drivers for intell graphics 4000

I am trying to get OEM (HP) updated graphics drivers for the Intel graphics 4000. Paid money to play a game on my laptop, and had no problem until they came out with a new updated version. Now the game crashes when it gets to checking graphics settings? The games tech support people said I need the new Intel graphics driver. when  I try to update the driver from Intel, it tells me that i have an OEM driver and to check with the manufacture (HP) for an updated driver.
HP's latest driver is dated 09/2013 intel's latest driver is dated 01/2015 and there have been 2 updates since 2013. Is HP going to put out an updated intel graphics 4000 driver, Please tell me how to override OEM and update from Intel??

Sorry mate, your gonna have to downgrade your driver in order to get the game running. I too have an Intel HD 4000 however mine is not OEM meaning i can upgrade with intel. Trust me I have overriden this in the past and your display driver WILL CRASH if you attempt it because it can only run HP's modded version. Just run the installer for the old version of HP's driver and run the game afterwards. P.S Sorry, HP have updated my 3000 driver (rare move by HP).

  • Problem on Intel Hd Graphic 4000

Hi, guys! I just formated my notebook (HP Pavilion dv7-7047cl) and instaled the drivers from the HP Support center. Everything looks great, except for the INtel HD Graphic 4000, that shows a yellow exclamation on the drive list. My notebook also have a Nvidia Gforce GT 650M Driver instaled, and seems to work well. Ima kinda desperated here, because Ive donwloaded from the hp support site the last driver, but it keeps showing the yellow exclamation on it. How should I do to instal the Driver correctly : (sorry bout english)

You can download and install Intel HD graphics driver from below intel website and check if graphic drivers are installed properly.

I downloaded the driver but I can't install because:
"The driver being installed is not valid for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer Setup will exit"

  • Photoshop CS6 Randomly Crashes using Intel HD Graphics 4000

When using Photoshop CS6 on Windows 8 [Surface Pro], it randomly crashes. I normally can only use Photoshop for less than a minute, doing less than ten actions, before it crashes. I get an error message saying "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working." If I debug it using Visual Studio, I get this message:
Unhandled exception at 0x5442B60E (ig7icd32.dll) in Photoshop.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000002C.
I looked up ig7icd32.dll and it seems to be published by Intel and related to my graphics hardware, so I assume the problem is related to my Intel HD Graphics 4000.
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this problem or as to what might be causing it?
    EDIT:
Also, when launching Photoshop, I get this message:
Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled enhancements which use the graphics hardware.
Check the manufacturer's website for the latest software.
Graphics hardware enhancements can be enabled in the performance panel of preferences.

All my drivers are fully updated, and all Windows updates are installed. No other applications have any problems with my graphics hardware.

If Intel does not have an updated driver, I would check the MS Surface Pro Web site.
If no updated driver exists, you might get it to run, if you turn off all graphics acceleration.
Unfortunately, Intel graphics chips are good, but driver support has been horrible. I recommend against using them, if one has programs like Ps CS 6, Premiere Pro CS 5 - 6, Premiere Elements 9 - 11, After Effects CS 6, any 3D applications, etc.. The Intel chips and drivers are OK for checking e-mail, surfing the Web, doing light wordprocessing, or some spreadsheet work, i.e. the tasks that they were designed for. They fall far short with video-intensive applications, that need to interface with the video driver.
    Good luck,

  • Intel HD Graphics 4000 lag?

I've been using my rMBP for about 6 months now; however I have noticed video and UI lage while using the integrated gpu "Intel HD Graphics 4000." When I switch the Nvidia GeForce 650M, there is no more lag in both UI and video playback. Is there anyway that I can fix the lag issue with the Intel Graphics chip?

  • Mobile PC display instead of Intel HD graphics 4000 ??

    Hello
    I have Lenovo G580 notebook
Win 7 Ultimate x32 .. I install display driver (Intel HD graphics 4000)
but when I go to screen resolution it is show (Mobile PC Display)
while on the device manager / display adapter it is (Intel HD graphics 4000)
How I can use (Intel HD graphics 4000) as a display adapter ?
    Thank you

It's normal, Mobile PC Display means that it's connected to your laptop's LCD, while the other selection available for external monitors.
If you only have one display adapter(Intel HD4000) it will always use that display adapter.
If you have optimus(integrated intel vga+dedicated nvidia vga) you can change the Prefered graphic processor from nvidia control panel's global settings.
For external monitors, i'm not sure whether the external monitor port(hdmi/vga port) can be connected to the dedicated vga or not, it's probably connected to the intel vga also.
May be someone else can confirm this, as i've seen many people were having difficulties trying to use the geforce vga through HDMI (they can only gets the intel vga through hdmi) in most lenovo's optimus-based laptops.

  • Is The Intel HD Graphics 4000 And The Intel Core i3-3110M Processor Good For Premier?

    Dear Forums Members,
Latley I've been looking for a laptop that can fit my video edting needs + some office work. What i need from Premier is the abilty to edit SD quality videos, my budget is not that high ( + I live in Israel where everything is more expesnive ).
I've been thinking about the Lenovo IdeaPad G500 5938-9998 wich comes with a Intel® Core™ i3-3110M Processor and Intel® HD Graphics 4000 and 4GB RAM and 500GB Sata (5400RPM) Hard Drive.
My Quastion is: will it be ok to edit SD videos in premier 6 or 5? and if not, wich premier IS good for this specific computer?
    Thanks ahead, Jonathan.

Jonathan, If you mean the old Premiere 6 or Premiere 5, then those versions of Premiere are extremely old and severely outdated. In fact, Premiere 6 was released before Windows XP even came out. As such, you may have serious trouble running Premiere 6 (not to be confused with Premiere Pro CS6) on newer versions of Windows such as Windows 7 or Windows 8.x.
On the other hand, if you mean Premiere Pro CS6 or CS5.x, then that planned laptop is too weak to handle much of anything (video editing related), especially since that i3-3110M CPU is only a dual-core CPU that's capped at 2.4GHz and that CS6/5 does not support GPU acceleration for any non-Nvidia or any integrated GPUs. As such, I second the responses suggesting the cheapo consumer version of Premiere, Premiere Elements (the current release is 12.0).

  • G580 (2189) How Increasing dedicated video memory? (HD graphics 4000)

g580 (2189) i5-3230M hd Graphics 4000 video memory size is set only 32MB!! And there is not bios setting to increase memory to 64 or 128mb?? why?

    Hi
    Welcome To Lenovo Community
We are really sorry to hear about the issue you are facing,
Intel(R) video controllers do not have dedicated memory. They all use shared memory from the RAM installed on the system and reserved to the video controller through a technology called DVMT (Dynamic Video Memory Technology), which dynamically adjust the amount depending on how much is needed.
The driver uses a small amount (~32MB) of driver for internal housekeeping purposes- that memory is taken at boot time.  All other memory needed is dynamically allocated to graphics as it is needed - up to 1.7GB on a 4GB system.  This is more than enough for all applications that you would be running.

  • Have Upgrade Graphic Card Driver, But Still Cannot Adjust Screen Brightness and Sleep Button Not Showing After Clean Installation of Windows 8.1

I have done clean installation of Windows 8.1 on my HP Pavilion G4.
Then I realize that I cannot put my computer on sleep mode and cannot adjust screen brightness.
I understand that those problems caused by the graphic card driver.
My computer is running on AMD Radeon HD 6400 series.
Thus, I manually search on internet and found a latest graphic card update on microsoft site that is claimed compatible on windows 8.1 (link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/dn344644.aspx).
I've upgraded it into the latest one. I've check on Device Manager, the driver is running well.
But my problem did not solved!
    Please give me the solution!

    Hi,
How about go to Device Manager, then uninstall Graphic driver and restart your computer, system will install its build in graphic drver. You can have a try.
In addition, access to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Brightness and set its value to 100 for test.
