HD Images ( 1920x1080 ) exported from iMovie09?

Hello,
I was able to use iMovie HD to export a full HD movie to a sequence of images (every frame) with full resolution (1920x1080). The function seems still available in iMovie09, however, the highest image resolution I can get is 960x540 no matter how high the quality of the image I set. Is that because the movie is interlaced? I don't know if there is some way to solve the problem. I know ``freeze frame" and "reveal in finder" will work for individual frames. Since I need to export at least hundreds of frames, that option is not good for me.

I keep reading posts just like yours and finally I am able to say there is a solution that im using WHEN i shoot 1080 interlace with my Panasonic camcorder.
If you want to learn about how i do this
http://www.mindspring.com/~d-v-c/page8/page8.html
I get honest 1920x1080 movies that I turn into 1920x1080 h264 that i play on mt wdtv.
Before I started using imvi09 correctly I was shoping for a new camcorder that shot 30fps. I just saved $1300!

  • Disc image file exported from Encore CS4 won't work

    Hello,
I have a problem concerning the export of a disc image file in Encore CS4. I recently upgraded to CS4 and wanted to continue my project which I started editing with CS3. While working with CS3 I already did image files from this project for burning and testing the DVD. Back then it worked with no problems.
However, since using the CS4 version Encore does the image without any problem, but I can't use the image file in any way afterwards. I mounted it with Daemon Tools as I did before, but the DVD won't play in any software DVD player I have installed (Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player, Nero Showtime) nor can I access the file structure over a file manager. Nevertheless NeroInfoTool and ImgBurn say there is a DVD in the virtual drive. Then I exported the DVD project into a folder and now I can see the files in the file manger but again no player will play it.
Has anyone experienced this before and is able to help? It would be very appreciated since I don't want to downgrade back to CS3 :-)
It's Encore CS4, Version 4.0.1.048 on a 2,8 GHz HT CPU, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce 6800 UT, lots of HDD space, XP + SP3.
    Thank you,
    Chris...

    Hey,
thank you both. As I said no player accepts the project exported to a folder. It doesn't matter if I point the player to the video_ts.ifo or just the folder - it won't play. As a consequence I re-installed Encore CS3 in which exporting worked fine and guess what - the exported image and folder output doesn't work either. Since it worked before in CS3 it comes down to the conclusion that either I did some editing to the project that screwed the project or Encore CS4 did. Checking for mistakes in the project and previewing in inside CS4 everything seems fine. So might it be CS4 that ****** up the project file??? I mean it's full of strange bugs so it could easily be that. I even updated my Daemon Tools yesterday and it won't make a difference.
Or could it be something else I haven't considered yet? Any ideas? I just don't want to build the whole project again which might not even work if it's some other error. This is a desperate call for help
    Thanks,
    Chris...

  • Pixelated images when exporting from Lightroom

I recently switched from A Windows PC to the MBP Retina 15". I imported photos to lightroom from my external hard drive in RAW format to lightroom, edited then exported firstly as jpeg resized to 630 x 420 at 150 dpi. The images came out pixelated so I tried exporting at 300dpi even though the images are for web use. They still came out pixelated. So I tried exporting as .tif files at 300 dpi and still they are coming out pixelated... does anyone know why this would be? The raw files don't look pixelated at all.

I resized this image to 1200 x 800 and have just cropped a section to show you.
    PART I
Viewed at 100%, I see no "pixelation" or any other distortion of any kind whatsoever.
Only a 100% view (1:1) shows you your true image.  At smaller percentage views, pixels have to be discarded; at greater percentages pixels have to be made up (invented) by the software.
With the Retina screen you're bound to see very strange things, unless you're using the latest and greatest versions of Photoshop and of your video card, and utilizing the Retina features of the software.
    PART II
JPEG is a lousy, lossy format for maintaining image quality.  Every single time you open or create and save a JPEG, the image quality deteriorates, no exceptions.  Even at the highest quality of compression.
To take a very low resolution JPEG, like you did, and subject it to such a massive enlargement is to ask for demand trouble.  Not only are you also magnifying all the JPEG compression artifacts, but you are "inventing" an inordinate amount of pixels.
If you have to enlarge your images often, start with an image file that has NEVER been a JPEG.
    PART III
Photoshop performed superbly in your case.  That is a remarkably fine enlargement, especially considering the miserly JPEG you started from.  Rejoice!

  • Losing image when exporting from CS5 to PDF

    Hi All!
I am working off of a file that was sent to me by our designer. I made a few small changes to some text and went to export to PDF and one (and only one) of my images is lost in the PDF!
The image was originally embedding in a .idml (mark up) file when it came from the graphic designer. I worked in that file and saved it as an .indd file (CS5) and exported. I then tried to delete the file and link it, no go. Re-embed it, still nothing. I've now tried exporting it once again to .idml and exporting to PDF with no success.
I then went in, opened the original .idml file and exported to PDF without making any changes and I'm still losing the image! My graphic designer is able to export just fine on his end (I'm pretty sure he's working on CS6) and we've had the peice printed once already, so I know it's something going array on my end.
I've also tried changing various export settings with no luck. What am I missing here?
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Is CS5 patched to 7.0.4?
Is the image on a master page?
Is it visible when you switch to Preview mode?

  • How to create a master catalog of edited images without exporting from client catalog (in DNG or JPEG).

I create a LR catalog for each client which works great as I have many repeat clients and can easily access all of their images. However, I want to have a master studio catalog that includes the edited images from all of the
jobs.  When I have imported these images into the master, the lightroom adjustments are lost. How can I import import the edited images showing LR adjustments?

I can answer your question literally, exactly what you have asked.
Or I could suggest something else, more elegant, which may address your real needs better.
    Let me do the first:
Use the command "export as catalog" for the new delta of the current job of that repeat client. For the first job you do not need this, as the total catalog is just about the portion you want to have in your master catalog.
Then open your master catalog and use the command "import from another catalog", select this exported portion, and you are done. But caveat: now the same image file is referenced by 2 catalogs, which may lead to,problems, e.g. If you move the image within Lightroom.
Alternative suggestion: just work with 1 master catalog and use a collection set per each of your clients, one collection per job underneath. If appropriate, create more collections in that client's set, e.g. only for images he/she bought actually.
So far I have not understood what an individual catalog per client gives you, what a collection (set) would not?

  • How do I change the size of an image when exporting from photos?

In iPhoto I could create jpeg images of various sizes by exporting  a photo and selecting the quality of the image and the size of the file.  How do I do that in Photos?

In exactly the same way. File -> Export. If all those options are not visible, note the disclosure arrow, indicated below.

  • Problem with image after exporting from Lightroom 5

Good day. Please can someone help me? I have Lightroom 5, and I have a problem in exporting edited images. At issue, do all the necessary settings and retreat noise and sharpness adjustment by brush adjustment tool, however, to export the image, noise and some minor adjustments are lost. Because in Lightroom visualize the way you wish, but after export, is not it the same? How do I get a different result? Thank you all!

    I have the same problem!
Something got broken with my Lightroom 5.6 (Windows 7Pro)  two days ago and I don't see any adjustments made with brush after exporting photos!
It's not a problem of library or RAW files - the same, work fine on other computers (iMac).
I tried to clean the computer with CC Cleaner Tool, and install everything again, but it didn't help.
I already lost 2 days trying to fix it, and I don't want to format the drive and install Windows again
    Can anyone help?

  • Sound slightly faster as images when exporting from PRE9 to DVD

Hi, I just finished cutting a film on Premiere elements 9.
Everything is fine. I do a final rendering by hitting the return tab. Then I edit my DVD
menus. Then I save the project and burn a dvd.
    So far so good.
The dvd looks very nice.... expect when people speak, the sound comes a quarter of a second too early, before the mouth even opens, which is very disturbing. How can I fix this problem ?

I exported the project to a .wmv media file and the sync was correct on that output.
On the PRE project, I don't see any red lines above the time lines except above some titles.
The settings selected are format HD 1080i
    25,00 img/s
    dv 2527x576i
    conversion method 24p
    interlaced images
    export is dv 2527x576i
    does it help ?

  • Image files exported from Aperture do not arrive at Photoshop Elements 11

In Aperture preferences, I have nominated PSE 11 as an external editor.
When I try to send an image, I get the Adobe start-up window (even though PSE 11
is already open), but the image from Aperture does not arrive.
Can anyone suggest what I need to do, please?

The odds are that you are using the wrong file as the external editor. You want this one:
The easily visible file is the welcome screen alias.

  • Resize image during export from Imovie 11 to anamorphic.   It only crops.

    Hi:
I shoot with a hacked panasonic gh13 and the hack allows it to shoot anamorphic hd video without a special lens.  When the footage comes out of the camera it has that stretched look to it.    It should be very simple to get to true anamorphic dimensions with the custom image size options in Quicktime and Mpeg.   I should be able to go to Share>Export using Quicktime>Options>  then set to 1920 by 810.   The stretched image should look normal after export but it only crops it no matter what option or if it is Mpeg or Quicktime.  I would appreciate any direction I could get with this.   It should be pretty simple.
    Thanks
    Thirgy

I'm not sure what 'anamorphic HD' is?
You can have anamorphic SD; which stretches 4:3 SD video to 16:9.
    But HD is not anamorphic.
There are odd 1440x1080 sizes, but these are not generally described as "anamorphic HD".
    I can't say I have heard of 1920 by 810 as a standard size.
iMovie Mac is really only for editing standard frame sizes, and so your video files are probably confusing it.
I would suggest you move to a dimension open editor like FCP7.
Or shoot at a standard frame size.

  • Images stripped from Camera Data after Export from Lr

    Hi,
I've just opened images in jpg format in Ps. The images were exported from Lr and for some reason all the Camera Data is gone...
I went through all the settings in Ps and Lr and didn't find anything...
    I'm enclosing a screenshot.

Hi, this is a similar to an earlier post and here is my reply:
In the Export Dialog Box, under Metadata, make sure that you checked the box for "Write Keywords as Lightroom Hierarchy", in this way all your keywords will be carried over to Photoshop.   Conversely, if you do not want your keywords or other metadata to show in Photoshop, then check the box for "Minimize Embedded Metadata". I hope this helps.

  • "Rough" GIF export from ActionScript 3 files impossible?

    Hello,
I just upgraded from Flash CS3 to Flash CS5, and I've been playing with the various new features. However, I've just encountered an odd problem that I can't seem to find a solution to.
In the past, I've made animated GIFs in CS3 by exporting them with the "Smooth" box unchecked. This was really convenient for me because not only could I export crisp pixel bitmaps from Flash, but I could edit it in another program later. I was planning on making some GIF animations via this process with the aid of the bone tool in CS4 and 5.
When I tried exporting frames of of a figure created with the bone tool in CS5, however, I got images that were fuzzy and often had distorted colors. After some time, I realized that this was because in CS3, I had exported the images from ActionScript 2 files, while the bone tool only works in ActionScript 3 files.
Is it not possible to export "rough" GIFs from ActionScript 3 files, or is there a trick to doing that that I'm somehow missing?

I'm sorry for not making it clear in my initial post, but it doesn't matter whether I create an image using the bone tool or not -- any GIF image exported from an AS3 file always has an antialiased appearance, even when the Smooth box is unchecked.
To show you what I mean, here's a simple GIF image I exported from an AS2 file:
Notice that all of the lines are simple and pixellated, with no antialiasing at all. This is the kind of GIF I want to export from an AS3 file.
Now here's the exact same image I exported from an AS3 file, with the exact same export settings:
As you can see, all of the lines look smoothed, even though I made sure the Smooth box was unchecked.
Is there anything I can do to correct this problem?

  • Export from AVCHD looks like THIS: (image embedded) I've tried EVERYTHING

I'm using a Sony HDR-XR500V and importing using Apple Inter. Codec 1920x1080i60 in log and transfer and in "Canvas" in FCE, it looks GREAT, the motion is perfect.
However, no matter how I export (this was Export with Quicktime, uncompressed, size 1920x1080, but I've tried EVERYTHING) it looks like this. In Quicktime, I can hit "de-interlace" but it ghosts instead. I've tried de-interlace in exporting too.
In the original AVCHD files, and in Canvas on FCE, I can read the writing on everything, and I have not yet been able to export in any format where I can read the writing on the stones.
The exported files look like this on my PC as well... HELP!
PS... this was an image export from QT.

Well, as I said, it's not like that in the original AVCHD files, nor is it like that in the Canvas on FCE, so what do you mean when you say "That's the way the material is shot."?
I'm exporting my edited project to a file so I can stream it to my Sony Bravia TV in 1080.

I would like to use slideshow in lightroom to export my video as a full screen 1920x1080 video with text overlays.  I am using text overlay in lightroom as it reads from the metadata that is easy for me to input in the library screen.  When i export from lightroom slideshow and choose the 1920x1080 resolution the end product is a very small video in the middle of a black background.  i have double checked and do not have any borders turned on.  Another option would be to export from the library but lr mogrify does not seem to put text overlays on video either.  Any input would be welcome.

I dont understand anything you said in your post.
Do you have a specific question about video production?
The forums are for individual technical or creative issues that users have with video production. I am sur someone will be able to help you, but and to get a response it is best to ask a specific question.
Is this about a technical problem you have or something about setting up a web site? If its the latter this is the wrong forum.

  • How do I show the Develop Module settings when I open up an image I've exported from LR 4.4?

Say I have a preset that I use upon import.  I import some raw files using that preset but decide to tweak the settings a bit per each image.  IOW, now they are different than my preset.
I now export from a tweaked raw file a jpeg.  If I later import that jpeg back into LR 4.4 but don't apply any presets upon import (just leave it blank, I don't even check None), when the image is in the Library the "Saved Preset" line over on the upper right says "Custom" so I figure my settings were "embedded" into that jpeg when I exported it.
However, when I then go into the Develop module, all the Develop settings are zeroed out.  Is there any way to have the setting sliders represent what I actually did to the raw before I exported as a jpeg?  I can't just hit the preset I used upon import because, in fact, the current settings have been tweaked.
Along that same line, is there a choice I can select upon import (of an exported jpeg or tiff or whatever) that says "show current Develop settings" or some such instruction that would take care of this during import.  Thanks.

No it’s not possible but you have a record in the history panel for your master (raw file) It will show the date you exported the jpeg etc. If you click on that line it will show all the develop settings to the right e.g. the slider values etc.
You can in fact save them as a snapshot; so if you make further tweaks to your raw file, the settings you used for your jpeg will always be saved.
Most users don’t re-import jpegs because they can export a fresh one at any time. It’s also possible to create a virtual copy from the menu (Photo >> Create Virtual Copy) which can have different settings to your master (original raw file). You can create as many VC’s as you like and they take up no extra space on your hard drive. Because they are virtual they are simply stored in the catalog as metadata.
