HD Input from Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle for USB 3.0 to FMLE 3.2

hey guys..
I am using backmagic intensity shuttle usb 3.0 capture card to capture the 1080p video.
Now the problem is when I am taking video input in FMLE 3.2.
It only shows the video in 720X482 Resolution and at 59.92 fps only. while selecting other resolutions or frame rate screen got blank and receiving error that Video resolution or frame rate are not proper .
But I wants to take video input as 1920X1080 or 1280X720 and to stream it live as 640X360 Resolution at 24 or 25fps.
Can anybody having a solution of this problem that how can i achieve this?
Please reply it is very urgent.@
Thanks in advance.

The connector on the MacBook does the conversion when you plug in a USB-2 device for the first time. You cannot mix speeds on the same channel.
But if you plug in a USB-3 device the first time after a Restart, that channel will upshift to USB-3 and may stay there.

Final Cut 10.1 will not output or input thru Blackmagic intensity shuttle thunderbolt on 2013 Retina MBP while Premere Cs6 does

As I mentioned, Premere Cs6 has no issues with the BM Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt. This proves that the Mac sees the shuttle. iMovie, like FCPX 10.1 does not see it. Not sure if this is an Apple issue or a BlackMagic issue. I plan to contact BlackMagic on Monday out of curiosity. This issue is more of a surprise than a dead end. Happily there are easy workarounds for capture. I use the BlackMagic software to capture. My main issue seems to be that I am unable to use FCPX to output through the Shuttle. Fortunately I have a Mac Pro and an older BlackMagic card which has worked. It is so very nice to skim video on an SSD.  No lag and no wear and tear on a mechanical hard drive. The 1Tb Apple SSD is shockingly fast. It is a new world.

  • Will BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle USB work on Adobe Connect?

Will BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle USB work on Adobe Connect?
I cannot make it work at all, is there a way?
On BlackMagic Media Express it works fine, but no luck on Connect... In fact, it did appears an option like "Something" Stream, but doesn't work too.
Any help on making it work?
Or any other suggestion to use a high def camera on Adobe Connect?
    Thanks in advance.

Is BlackMagic shown in the dropdown on flash settings dialog?
You can locate the flash settings dialog by right clicking anywhere inside the meeting room then selecting settings. Then select camera tab (which is the last tab).

  • Problems with Audio with BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle

I recently bought the BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle hoping it would work with FME so I could stream games from my Xbox/PS3.
Everything is great with the video but the audio is the main problem. I'm having sync issues with the audio when I use the audio from the BMI Shuttle. The audio source is Decklink Audio Capture and no matter what settings I try on both the audio and video, it seems to stay out of sync.
I capture 720p @ 59.94 fps. I've pretty much tried everything, even downgraded the drivers to each and every driver since the shuttle came out. I haven't tried downgrading FME, but I don't think that will solve anything either. Right now I have the latest FME (3.2) and I still had audio sync issues with 3.1.
When I try to use an external program to capture video (such as VHMULTICAM), then I cannot produce the audio from FME because VHMulticam is using the video and so the Decklink Audio Capture won't respond in FME then. I don't know of a program that can capture both audio and video at the same time either.
Just wondering to see if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations to settings or anything else. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

Well, how can I use my line in with an Xbox or PS3... or even a satellite receiver/cable box? I've also tried using analog RCA cables for audio while using HDMI for video on the shuttle but it seems as though it's the same thing. What I'm trying to ask is how can I connect it from the xbox/ps3/receiver to the pc's sound card line in?
The audio is delayed. So, I see what happens and then hear the sound later.
Thanks for your response btw, really appreciate it.

  • Are there benefits to the Blackmagic Intensity Pro for HDV capture ?

Are there benefits to the Blackmagic Intensity Pro for HDV capture ?
    I have a Sony HDR-FX1 that records in HDV 1440 x 1080
I have already captured the footage to miniDV tape.
Can the intensity card get the full 1920 x 1080 video ?
I now use Premiere to capture my video and my HDV is in mpeg2 and my SD is in DV type 2 AVI
What format does the intensity card capture at ?
Are there other ways to capture that would make the footage better.
From what I have read allot of people have had problems with these cards.
Im just looking for the best way to get the footage off my camera with the best resolution.
    Thanks:  Glenn

    Glenn,
I have posted this before in the PC Buying Guide (post #23 and later), but have a look at this diagram:
The problem is that once recorded to tape, the material is compressed to MPEG and there is no way to get the data back, that were lost during compression. The only thing you achieve is that you lose device control, lose all timecode information, lose all metadata like date and timestamp and exposure data and lose the capability of scene detection. There are no gains to compensate the losses.
Compare it to a glass of orange juice, that was made by heavily compressing oranges. How do you think you can reconstruct the original oranges that the juice came from? Were there 4 large oranges or 6 small ones or a mixture? Were they light colored or were they dark or a mixture of light and dark?
BlackMagic in their marketing may lead you to believe otherwise, but the truth is they can only guess at how many oranges were used, their size and color. It is nothing more than a guess.

  • Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt

    Hello
Does anybody have experience with the Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt working with Final Cut Pro X
as opposed to older versions of FCP.
I wish to capture live/direct video from a HD HDMI panasonic camera using FCPX.
Will the Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt do the job?
I have a MacBook Pro retina display 2012 (software is all up to date).
    All feedback welcome
Thank you and happy new year
    kreid4.

Had a look at the thread to get on the pace.
Just tested mine and it works.
About the gear used in this test:
Macbook Pro 17" late 2011, OS 10.8.2 using the Thunderbolt port.
Black Magic Intensity Extreme using BM Media Express V3.2.
    Apple Thunderbolt cable.
    Panasonic HDC-SDT750 set to 1920 x 1080i50.
HDMI cable mini to standard cable.
I've noticed that all connections should be made before opening the BM capture app or it's not recognized by BM Media Express. This applies the BM box rather than the camera.
Open the BM app and confirm from the Cascade Menu under DEVICE that there is a check mark against the model you use. Mine is Intensity Extreme with the tick indicating the device and the BM software are communicating.
Now setup your Media Express>Preferences to suit the camera and capture codec etc.
Note: If you don't see a bunch of options in the Project & Capture format fields to match your computers stuff then something is amiss.
Also you can check the MAC>System Profiler>Thunderbolt to ensure the computer is seeing the BM device.
Connect the camera and HDMI cable at this point if it's not already and switch on.
I'd suggest making all connections before starting.
Log and Capture in the BM software window should display whatever the camera sees.
You can either live capture or capture pre-recoreded clips as desired.
Hope this steers you in the right direction.

  • Intensity Shuttle for Color

I have recently purchased a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle and Asus PA 238. Anyone out there have any advice as to the best settings to use for grading in Color. Another probelem is that I can use the PA238 as a second monitor with FCP 7 but not with Color. (Also unable to detect the Monitor through system settings so must be the settings I am using with the Shuttle)
Any help would be hugely appreciated thank you.

  • Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt video output issues

I got Intensity Shuttle TB to output to my monitors via hdmi and component however I am getting latency issues. I've tried all the settings in the system preferences as well as inside Premiere Pro. Also, when viewing a clip in the source window, video output disappears. I've tried the latest drivers as well as the older ones and reinstalled Premiere. Would like to resolve this asap! I tested the Intensity Shuttle with Final Cut Pro 7 and it's as smooth as butter and I'm able to view video output while in the source and programs windows. Is this an Intensity Shuttle issue or an Adobe Premiere issue?--->No video output to monitors while in the source window...Latency issues while viewing video in the timeline/program window. AVCHD Footage....
Macbook Pro 2012 8GB RAM MacOS 10.8.3 Premiere CS6 6.0.2 BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt 9.7.2 DesktopVideo Driver

OK, got one part solved. I uninstalled Blackmagic's Desktop Video 9.7.2 and reverted back to Desktop Video Driver 9.6.9. Everything is smooth now...no latency/dropped framed looking video.
The only other thing I'm trying to resolve now is video output while viewing a clip in the source monitor.  When I double click a clip in the timeline to view in the Source monitor I'm able to view video output to my hdmi and component monitors.  However, when I double click a clip in the Project window to view in the Source monitor, both hdmi/component monitors go out of sync with no video output.
ie: clip from timeline viewed in Source monitor: I'm able to see video output
clip from Project Window viewed in Source monitor: No video output
Update: When I double click on a 720x405 .jpg from the Project window to view in the source window, i'm able to view video output to both monitors(hdmi/component). On a 960x720 .jpg, no video output from the source window.
Pretty strange and I hope this info is making sense to Adobe Support.  Would appreciate feedback on resolving this issue! I'm hoping this is a simple Adobe Premiere setting that I might've missed.
NOTE: Desktop Video Driver 9.6.8 also has smooth playback but I installed 9.6.9 since it is the last update of version 9.6.

  • Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle Mac Thunderbolt

I am trying to use the Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle with Thunderbolt connection to Mac Mini.  I get no video in Flash Media Live Encoder.  I'm using Canon  VIXIA HF R400 Camcorder.
Can anybody tell me how to set this up?

Well, perhaps a Blackmagic user will come along to help. I don't quite understand why you would reduce the quality of MiniDV through the RCA connections instead of capturing using Firewire (i.LINK). Unless you don't have a firewire port on your computer. But maybe you have access to a desktop that you could use temporarily and just capture to the external drive?

  • Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle to Adobe Connect

Can I connect Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle to Adobe Connect? If not Blackmagic which product do you suggest? Kind regards.

The Video pod will display video in 320 X 240 or 640 X480 (or the equivalent of 240p and 480p in 16:9 if you modify the pod to display video in that aspect ratio). Chances are that you may be importing video at a different resolution and/or aspect ratio than what Connect wants, so it is resizing it.

  • Is Premiere Elements 11 compatible with Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 ?

I have an Intensity Shuttle from Blackmagic to Capture  Video and  Audio through USB 3.0
Is this divice compatible with Premiere Elements 11 ?
    Thank you for your help

Looking at the Blackmagic Intensity Web site for host program interaction, I only see PrPro, and not PrE. Sometimes, that does not mean that PrE cannot use a device, but often it does. http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/intensity/software/
I would contact Blackmagic and inquire.
I see that the card/device includes Blackmagic's Media Express, so it might be a simple workaround - Capture in Media Express, then Import that/those file(s) into PrE.
    Please report BM's response.
    Good luck,

  • GE620 & Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0

I recently purchased an MSI GE620 as well as the Intensity Shuttle 3.0 for capturing purposes.  I just recently reformatted the PC with all up-to-date drivers from MSI's homepage.  From here I installed the Renesas USB drivers and firmware from station-drivers.  Then I installed the most recent drivers for my Intensity Shuttle from the Blackmagic website. As far as I am aware, all of my drivers are up-to-date.
The problem lies when I launch FMLE 3.2 with the Shuttle plugged into the MSI, the screen BSOD's almost instantly.  Does anyone have any experience with these two products together and working?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks.

  • Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle USB 3

    Hello,
I just bought a subscription for Premiere Pro and am now trying to get it to work with my Blackmagic Instensity Shuttle USB 3, however I can't get PP to find my device.
My skill in PP is about non-existant, but from what I understand it should support the Intensity Shuttle.
    Thanks for any help.
    Sincerely,
    Daniel Mårtensson

Sorry you have not been lucky with ASUS mobos. The Rampage family are very reliable and I still have Rampage II Extreme to 4 working now
Asus Rampage is the most used board for editing. Please stick to the Blackmagic has it is not only the inexpensive card it supports very editing
software to date and the most updated. Call their tech support and they will stay with you until you get it running if they can work round the MSI
However, you might not need to work with any i/o card it you don't want to. One one of my stations I have 3display monitors. 2 for editing and one
as Premiere display monitor. You can edit red 4k, UHDV and more with no sweat now. So use the 3rd monitor as external display by setting it up in prefernces

  • Ipad HDMI adapter BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle

Anyone ever get the ipad with the Lightning Digital AV Adapter that has HDMI into an Intensity Shuttle?  Thunderbolt or USB3?  I can get it to show video just fine with the Intensity Pro PCIe card but not on the shuttles.  Setting is 720p 60.  Anyone?  Thanks!

The title of the post is..ipad> HDMI adapter> Intensity Shuttle If thats not on topic I dont know what is...  In the post a guy from blackmagic says: "So we've heard of 720p60 working as well as 1080p30."  sooooo.. yeah..  Also the blackmagic boxes are just capture cards taking standard HDMI in, they can do 720, 1080, NTSC..  I have run many different sources into them without issues.  And others have had the 30pin work, I really feel that Apple removed this ability going to the Lightning Digital AV Adapter.  I would love to hear from Apple on this or anyone who has ever got this to work.

  • BlackMagic Intensity Pro for iMovie

I am interested if any one knows if the new Intensity Pro HDMI PCI card by Blackmagic can be used to capture video off my DVR so I can create DVD using iMovie and iDVD. I know the HDMI signal will probably have HDCP copywrite protection, but this card also supports analog Component video which comes out of my DVR. It is my understanding iMovie will need to have video in the DV format. In the product's manual it only talks about high end expensive video editing software like Apple Final Cut Pro, but I only need iMovie capabilities. The product does come with an application called Blackmagic Media Express but there is no documentation on it.
I do not want to go out and buy a $350 card and find out it does not work.
