Hd light wont stop blinking

my hd light (4th from the left) wont stop blinking. It blinks normally when the hd is accessing, but will continue to blink, about once per second, when its not acccessing, and does not ever stop. the timing is regular, and does not seem like its caused from any sort of normal hd access. I found a post with the same problem problem here that seems unresolved but could not seem to reply to it: http://laptopforums.toshiba.com/t5/General-Technology/Satellite-L305D-S95222-Blinking-work-light/m-p...I cant exactly remember when this started happening, but it definitely was not doing it when the laptop was new.

As long as you have services, internet conection and anti-virus running in the background you will have spurratic HDD activity, this is perfectly normal, on all computers. Be sure to run a disk cleanup and defrag every so often and if you have system restore turned on you can delete all but the most recent point to free up some clutter.
Should you choose to turn off services and you have no idea what what they controll, you will more than likely be doing another system restore

Please make sure that all the packing matterial on the cartridge is removed.
also see if theres any orange packing matterial inside the printer.
anything orange in color on the printer or cartridge indicates that it has to be removed first

Just set up the time capsule, connected everything per the set up instructions, can't get the amber light to stop blinking.

I have tried to re-start my modem and the time capsule, both to no avail.The amber light keeps blinking, and the software cannot find it wirelessly.

Reset it to factory and redo the setup.. this happens a lot now if you have moved on the Mavericks..
Make sure ipv6 is set to link-local for your wireless.
Otherwise use an iOS device with the latest firmware and use the airport utility for iOS.. it is much more reliable than the computer version.

Reset it. Method varies by model. So look it up on the apple web pages. If it won't reset let the battery drain, put it on charge and try again after it has been fully charged.

You should try what we windows users call a 30-30-30 reset on the router
to perform this syle of reset do the following unplug all devices from the router including the source of its data then get yourself a paperclip and push it in to the slot that has a symbol that looks like the play icon and hold it for the following sequence 30 seconds while it is pluged in to the main power source 30 seconds while it is unpluged and 30 more once you plug it back in. Then all you will have to do is to plug it back in to your internet and use the airport utillity to reconfigure it hope this helps however i am far from a pro at troubleshoting.

I have 2 wvc54gca's that worked fine until now. i changed encryption settings on my router (WRT54gs) and when i when to set them on the cameras i couldn't log on to them. So I reset the cameras and now the blue light wont stop flashing.

Choose the method for:
"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
If this does not help, you may have to take the MBP to the Apple Store to have it checked.

HP C3180 power light won't stop blinking after wireless print (from PC)

I've raised this issue in an earlier post - but maybe with too much verbiage.
My PC prints wirelessly to a (raw Q on a) MAC which is USB-connected to an HP Photosmart C3180. When I use the driver for the 3180 on the PC (either with an LPR port or an internet port), the jobs are created with an "error" status, and never leave the PC.
I've found, however, that the HP 550C driver (and a generic HP Deskjet) will work fine on both the LPR port and the internet port. The printing is exceptionally fast - but the power light continues to blink after the job is finished. I have to press the "cancel" button on the printer console to stop the blinking. Some sort of "handshaking" between the printer and the driver software is not happening, apparently.
I also print from the Mac to the 3180 (foomatic/hpijs C3100 driver, usbtb backend) - and everything works fine.
Any advice/information will be welcome.

Sorry!! much ado about nothing. Since the HP Photosmart is not a PS printer, I have to use (for example) an Apple Color LW 12/660 PS as the driver on the PC (NOT a Windows driver) in order to print over the wireless network to the Mac.
Phew! Printer software makes networking look like a piece of cake!

LC-e6e charger lights stopped blinking and had burning smell while charging original canon battery

The lights on the original charger of my 5dmk3 stopped blinking while charging the original canon battery and had burning smell. i have hardly used the charger as each charge would last me months. anyone know if this is a known issue with this charger. i never had any issues with my previous 30 d charger for 8 years. this one only lasted 2 years.

For the future, you might want to consider changing batteries in both the keyboard and mouse before they run down completely and/or have any older USB keyboard and mouse on hand for emergency (those can also come in handly if you need to boot using keyboard commands which sometimes fail to respond with a bluetooth keyboard).

E72 notifcation light does not stop blinking after...

After receiving an SMS my E72 sometimes keeps blinking the light even after reading it/deleting it. It's as if the notification gets "stuck". It also happens with calls but less often.
This only started happening with 052.005, with previous versions where were no problems.
Can anyone confirm this? Is it a problem in the current firmware or is just my unit needing a hard reset?

Red light stops blinking and then stays solid

This one is strange. I open an email on my BB and the red light stops blinking and then stays solid for about 5 minutes. It doesnt go off when I close the email either.
Took the battery out to see if that would clear it but it still doing it.
Any thoughts ?????

Sounds like when the red light is solid, the device is still usable? Assuming this is correct, I have three questions for you:
1. Can you you confirm this problem ONLY happens when you open up emails in the Messages application?
2. Can you tell us the application version you are running from (OPTIONS > ABOUT)?
3. Also, which third party applications do you have installed?

P1102w no longer working on wireless, lights don't blink

I just moved and have not been able to get the wireless working on my printer. We have an apple time capsule (airport) router that moved with us, so it should be the same wireless network we connect through. Tried reinstalling, but when I go through says it can't find a network even when I put in the SSID in the advanced settings. The wireless light is not blinking at all.
Self test says: wireless status: enabled, SSID: correct, network status: not connected.
I have tried resetting, reinstalling, and re-plugging in everything.
Any idea of what could be wrong? Is the wireless radio broken?

I see by your post that since you moved that printer isn't working on the wireless network. I can help you with this, but I will need to know what operating system you are using, for more specific setup steps.
The network information would be from the old location, the router would most likely assign the printer a new IP address at the new location.
Restore the printer to default settings.
Turn the printer off, hold down the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer back on and don't release the two buttons until the printer stops making noise.
Run the setup again.

What operating system are you using?

Does the configuration page show if the Wireless Direct is enabled and does it show a IP address?

I bought my shuffle today and have installed the software and Itunes...everything that I was supposed to do....
However, I dont know if I am charging it correctly? According to the instructions both on the insert and on the website: when charging, the orange light is supposed to be continuous, not blinking. Well mine is Blinking! It has been hooked up ( with Itunes up and without) for quite a few hours, over 4.
If anyone can give me an idea as to what I am doing wrong I would be so very happy!

ORANGE, whether solid or blinking, indicates that your Shuffle is charging... BLINKING ORANGE, means that it is a) being accessed/updated by iTunes, or b) it's enabled for data and is thus regarded as a storage device by WindowsXP, or c) WindowsXP sees it as a storage device.
IF ejecting it in iTunes doesn't make it stop blinking, then quit iTunes and "Safely remove" it in the System tray.
4 hours to fully charge is actually a lowball estimate, sometimes it takes 6 or more hours, especially if you interrupt the charging cycle by removing and inserting the Shuffle from/in its dock.
Here's hoping yor Shuffle will be green, already. Further caution, DO NOT allow your computer to go to sleep or hibernate with the Shuffle attached ... this will prolong the charging time and may even discharge the Shuffle.
