What connection are you using from the STB to the TV?
If you are HDMI, you may want to try component connections. It may be something strange in the way your TV interprets the HDMI signal.
Check the setting in the STB and make sure it is not set for 1080 if your set only handles 720. It may not be downscaling it correctly.

Effect of a mask is off-set from the mask itself. Help ...

I have a corner-pinned layer (it's a screen replacement) that a character passes in front of. I need to animate a mask so the character can pass the screen, but the effect of the mask is off-set from the mask line. It's really annoying.
It seems like the mask is set to the original layer size ... but I have to corner-pin the layer so it fits the screen I'm replacing, which makes the visible part of the layer smaller. Is there a way to make the mask perform in an "aboslute" way?

For anyone who's curious, this didn't really solve the problem, but it was a satisfactory work-around:
I went ahead and exported the corner-pinned, UNmasked screen replacement on its own, sitting on a transparent alpha channel. I then brought that new video layer into my composition and masked it. Since the new layer wasn't being corner pinned, the mask halted perfectly right on the visible masking line.

Calculating prior months using off-set and crossing to prev year

Gurus,
I am getting current month period based on user entered value and calculating prior month by off-setting current month by 1.
it works fine when current month value is greater than 1. If it is 1, prior month does get evaluated as 12 of previous year.
Example...
If Current period is - Feb, 2008 (02/2008). previous period comes fine as Jan, 2008.
If current period is Jan, 2008 (01/2008) perious period is unknown. (I want it to be 12/2007).
is there way to handle this without too much coding etc?

Also what is SAP variable for Quarter/Year? I need to off-set of quarter also.

COREid - where is the Multi-Language on/off setting stored

I need to find out where the on/off setting for Multi-Language support is stored, whether it is in the LDAP directory or in a file.
I know I can change it in the GUI, but I am attempting to fix an automation script so that is not a good option at this stage.

In LDAP, please get to obid=<language_pack>,o=Oblix,<DC> node and set "obenabled" attribute value to "true".

CS4 bug: Rectangle Marque Tool unwanted off-set

I feel like there are a lot of annoying bugs in CS4. The latest and greatest bug is with the Rectangle Marquee Tool (Selection Tool). When the tool is selected from the tool bar I get the cross-hairs/bar cursor icon, which is totally fine... instead of drawing the axis point from the very center of the cursor, it's off-set to the bottom of the cursor icon. In other words, It will always be 10-20 px off from where I actually want to make my selection...
May not be a big deal to most people, but when you're trying to select small pieces and move them, this should be accurate.
I dump my preference files, toggle workspaces. It's a temporary fix, is anyone else noticing this?

Yep, Ann has the band-aid solution. Unfortunately, it won't cure the disease but it does work to quickly get rid of the symptom.
You might also see this annoying behavior with other tools like offset brush cursors and the path tool. Same (temporary) fix - hit F a couple of times.

Mountain lion osx wifi keeps turning to the "off" setting by itself and when I try to turn it back on again it doesn't change from "off" to "on" Any ideas about whats wrong? The only way I can solve it is by restarting the macbook.

You are running a pretty old version of the OS if your information is correct above and there have been quite a few improvements to the WiFi systems in recent releases.
You may want to try to reinstall the OS. If that does not work you may consider upgrading the OS.

You didn't say which model of iPod Nano that you have, but generally there should be a lock setting, that can be turned on or off, to prevent accidental changes in settings. And, there is also a setting to turn on or off a feature called, "Shake to Shuffle." It allows you to change songs by just shaking the iPod.

Problem with restricted key-figure using off-set variable

Hello Gurus,
I have created a query in Bex Query Designer with a key figure restricted. This key figure shows me the 0amount value for the last month. When I select 003.2009, the key figure brings the 002.2009 values. I used an off-set variable to do this
It works!
But when I show this key-figure in Webi, no value shows up on the table.
Any suggestions?

   In Standard for FBLxN the offset account is not shown.The Report RFHABU00 can show line items with offset account.
To get the Offset account into FBLxN you need to do the following:-
Transaction FIBF
Menu>Settings>Products> of a customer.
New Entry:-
                 Product = RFPOS
           Activ = Set Flag
Save
Menu>Settings>P/S Function Modules> of a customer
New Entry
     Event = 00001650
           Product= RFPOS
           Module = Line_Items_Get_GKONT

How to Off set the variable range ?

experts !
i have created a variable on ofiscper, and it gives a range for that. ( e.g. 001/2009 - 012/2009 ) . everything works good. but i have to show values for the same range for previous year too.. so i thought that off set should be working. But i am not gettting the correct results if i use off set to ( -1 ).
can we use offset for a variable whcih takes range ?
what are my options ?

    1. Take that 0fiscper In Characteristic Restrictions box.
    2. Right click on it choose Restrict option. you will get a window select variabls option.
    3. You may have predefined variable. Take that into selection box.
    4.Take the Offset value -12.
Note : Make sure that your variable should be Intervel option in variable Represents.
This may resolve ur prob.

0I_FPER and variable off set not working

Hello All,
I am attempting to us the FiscPer Interval input variable with an off set and it does not appear to be working. I am attempting to do this on COPA. The business requirement is to have an interval and the corresponding interval for the prior year. One of the problems I am having in testing this is that there is not enough data to test the year (-12) off-set. So I have decided to test it with a -2 off set to see that at least in theory it will work.
The 0I_FPER interval is working however the -2 off set is not returning any data. I have attempted a number of solutions so far with out success. We are using BI 7.0 and are currently on Service Patch 10 with a number of additional oss notes applied. Does any one have any suggestions for me?

i dont think offset would work on interval option. It needs to be a single value.
What i mean to say is, if the user enters 01/2006 - 07/2007, when you put a offset 0f -2, the system wouldnt know which value it is supposed to offset (period1 - 7).
The work around if you want to display the same range in previous year would be to use two variables on fiscal year and posting period seperately and there you can do a offset on fiscalyear which would give you the same range for 2006.

Off Set of dep. reqmts to operation date

Experts,
in our system (OPU5) setting is "Adjust scheduling; Adjust dates: Adjust basic dates, adjust dep.reqmts to operation dates."
So know is demand date is equal to operation date. I am looking for a way to establish a 4 day off set, that the demand date is 4 days before operation date. I am looking for a way which is not lead time relevant.
So the operation queue time might not be my prefered option.

There is a variable named AF_FPER-1 in my BW-system, where -1 indicated the off-set, I guess?
How was this variable created? It is based on a SAP user exit variable..

Usually the SAP exit variables will be defined starting with a 0 in the technical name. Anyhow coming to the concept of Offset: This helps you get another value from the same variable, based on the relationship of so many before or so many after. Offsets are commonly used with the time variables. Lets say the reqt is to have data for this month and 2 months prior to that. One way would be to have 3 variables, but this is redundant and non-user friendly. So you can use one variable and define offsets as -1 (previous) and -2 (prior to previous).
