HD upgrade for S10e Linux SSD system?

I just received my new S10e with Linux OS. I tried to install a SATA Harddisk and wanted to install Windows XP. Both harddisks , the preinstalled SSD (4 GB) and the new SATA disk are shown as Harddrive 0, ID 0 and BUS 0. installation of OS fails as both drives are accessed identically. Is there a way to switch off the SSD or change the harddrive, ID, or Bus no? I've found no option within the BIOS.

ext.HDD, for simple AVCHD tasks, I would recommend usb3 too…
It's not state of the art hardware, but it's not chopped liver either.

Upgraded MBP 2009 to ssd, system sometimes unresponsive

I bought a new ssd drive for my old Mac Book Pro mid 2009 and put a fresh install of Mac OS X on it. Everything works though from time to time the whole system becomes unresposive with a "spinnwheel/beachball" cursor. I had tried several things like turn on TRIM for the ssd, remove items from the cashe, I also checked if i had the latest EFI firmware and resetted SMC. And still the system becomes unresposive for ~10 seconds so Im at my wits end. Please can someone help me with this?

Hi, I know this behaviour from more or less defective OCZ SSDs. They had several firmware updates. Sometimes the issue was gone or at least better, sometimes the drive had to be replaced. I had better experiences with OWC or Samsung. Maybe yours is just defective or uses an outdated firmware. Maybe just replace it for a new one since you seem to just have bought it.
I used an OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G 480 GB until I needed more space. Now my 2010 MBP has a Samsung EVO 1 TB. Both work flawlessly in my experience.

FYI, per SAP marketplace support site information:
"Mainstream maintenance for SAP R/3 4.6C ended on December 31, 2006.
From January 01, 2007 to December 31, 2009, SAP offers extended maintenance for this release."
To download the support packages for your R/3 4.6C release:
1- Got the area <a href="http://service.sap.com/patches">SAP marketplace Patches download area</a>
2- In the left side navigation, select 'Archive for Support Packages and Patches', then 'Entry by Application Group'
3- In the component list, select 'SAP Application Components --> SAP R/3 -> SAP R/3 4.6C'
4- You should then see the list of patch components for 4.6C and add them to your download basket

ACS Express upgrade for native Linux OS

I'm running ACS Express 5.0.0.18. A recent security scan flagged the ACS as running outdated versions of Apache and Tomcat, plus other issues. Will the 5.0.1.1 upgrade package perform an update on these components? If so, what will be the updated versions, given that the upgrade package is over one year old? Are there any other alternatives for bringing the OS components up to date? Any advice is appreciated.

what are the exact vulnerabilities you're referring to?
I ask this as there are some known issues affecting also the ACS Express version 5.0.1.1, such as the following ones:

We don't have precise ETA for the fix yet, but you may monitor the above bugs to get notified about updates.
In any case, you have to wait for the next patch to be out to get this fixed.
In the meanwhile I would also recommend to mitigate the impact of those issues by preventing non-admin workstations to have access to the ACS GUI (e.g. with a firewall or ACL); in any case this is good practise as these web pages should not be reachable for non-admin staff (nor external internet users of course).
In any case, if you need for further assistance on this, please open a TAC case, so we can verify this in more details.

Did you downloaded the Firmware Update from HP ePrint Center or throught the product download page?
If you downloaded it from ePrint Center, try using the tool below:

If you still have any issue, and the device connected through the network, try to temporary connect the device with USB, reeboot your Mac and try launching the tool once again.

One workaround for this test was to drop down to NFSv3. That's fine for testing, but when I get ready to roll this thing into production, I hope there are no problems doing v4 from my NetApp hardware.

But I don't know where to download and how to install X Window System for Oracle Linux 5.

You can address the problem in a number of different ways.
You can install X-windows from the installation DVD or setup access to the Oracle public software repository as described in http://public-yum.oracle.com. In which case, the command to install X-windows is: yum groupinstall "X Window System"
Or, you login remotely and and use SSH with X-forwarding, in which case the software on the server will use the X-Windows server on your client system. This is probably the preferred way since you do not have X-windows installed on the server. We have migrated our R/3 DEV system (4.7) running on Windows 2003 to 64 bit and copied existing system using system copy for testing ECC 6.0 upgrades. Both the DEV systems, with the same system id, will be available for a short period. However, the new system, which also has same system id i.e DEV is not created in the Solution Manager landscape, as the system id with the same name already exists. Both the systems are created in SLD.
Can anyone clarify whether i can create the license key from the existing DEV system and use the same key for upgrade of DEV system running on different server? If not I will have to delete the current DEV system and create new DEV system running on 64 bit.

You cannot use the old solman key as systems are on different server.
I think you have to delete the old Dev system and then generate new solman key.
