HD Video "Disappeared"

This is a weird one: last night I shot four videos, three of which were 5-10 minutes long and one of which was about 45 minutes long. Just now when I tried to import them, the long video is missing. It doesn't even show up in the Camera Roll on the phone, let alone in iPhoto/Image Capture's list of importable items.
At first I thought that I must have somehow accidentally deleted it, but when I check my phone's storage usage, it appears that there's a chunk unaccounted for that might be just about the right size for the 45-minute video. I'm not sure of this, however.
Is it possible the video is on the phone in some way that it's just not showing up? Is there any chance I can rescue it if it's there? I'd hate to lose that footage.

Never mind, (mostly) solved my own problem! I'm posting the answer in hopes it helps others.
I was right: the video WAS on there, just not showing up in Camera Roll, iPhoto, or Image Capture. I don't know why.
My solution was to run PhoneView by Ecamm, which I'd gotten in a software bundle a couple of years ago. After updating to the latest version, PhoneView saw my connected iPhone 4, and when I clicked on "Photos" and then "Camera Roll," the missing video appeared in the list, albeit without metadata or a preview icon. PhoneView was still able to copy it to my drive with the "Copy from iPhone" button. (It took several minutes with a rainbow spinny cursor, but it did eventually finish gracefully.) It was not, however, able to delete it from the iPhone with the "Delete" button, so I'm still looking for a way to delete it now and free up that 3.6 GB. Suggestions?
I thought PhoneView was kind of neat before, but now I'm thrilled with it. That footage was pure gold and I'd have been kicking myself for weeks had I lost it.

Fullscreen video disappears when using CSS transform on parent element

I have a <code>video</code> element that opens in an overlay. The overlay is <code>position: fixed</code>, and the element inside of it is centered vertically & horizontally using <code>position: absolute; top: 50%; left: 50%; transform: translate(-50%, -50%);</code>.
All of the above works just fine, until a user clicks the fullscreen icon, then the video disappears... You can still hear the audio, but the video disappears...
If I cancel the <code>transform: translate(-50%, -50%);</code> in the debugger, the video pops right back into place...

If you toggle this feature in about config:
browser.fullscreen.autohide to false.

Why my videos disappear from my videoplaylist when they are in the ipod ?

in my ipod there are 120 videos + -... from my update 1.1 a lot of times my videos disappear like a phantom but they are inside of my ipod but the ipod doesn't find (either itunes)... ¿?¿? thanks 4 the help

What do you mean by (either iTunes). Are the videos in iTunes or no?
Also, connect the iPod to the computer. Then go to edit-->preferences and hit the iPod tab, then the videos tab. Change the settings to Do Not Update Videos. Click okay. Now go back and reenable the option and hit okay.

Photo Stream is not a backup.
Photo Stream has a limit so is temporary.
iTunes does not handle the import of photos/videos from any digital camera including from the iPhone's Camera Roll.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.

The photos are on the ipod. Photo sync will erase them. I need a way to extract them from the ipod, or to.extract them from the ipod backup that is who knows where on my PC.
I've been searching for an app to do that with no luck. They all seem to want a newer OS than is on my ipod yet I have the most recent update installed.

Video: When the controls appear, the video disappears...

I am having trouble with video playback. Whenever I mouse over the window playing the video to access the controls, the video disappears (it is still playing) while the controls are visible. What do I do to fix this?

I have the same problem. I bet it has to do with windows update to sp3. I also bet that there will be a new version of iTunes to accommodate sp3.

Video disappears when Rotate in QuickTime

I can see the Video perfect when I play the original mp4 in QuickTime. But when I rotate it, the video disappears. Audio still there.
Anybody know how to fix this?

Could you post a screenshot of the timeline? If there is nothing to pause the slide, the playhead will move on after playing the video. Did you insert the video as a slide video (only possible in CP5) or as a FLV? Which version of CP are you using?

I have a video on a slide that will play but disappears at the end. I have the video on "no transition", display on "till the end of the slide, and checked the "pause slide until the end of video. I want the video to stay on the slide to be able to replay it . Thanks I just got Captivate 6

Videos can't put in Photo Stream. The Photo Stream is the photos only.

Add an empty keyframe one frame after the frame where you stopped and move the stop() command there.

Help!!! My video disappears in my interactive .swf export

After exporting my InDesign file as an interactive .SWF file, I view its html file on my desktop and
everything is working perfectly. Once I upload the files (the Resource file, the
.swf file and the html file) everything looks great until I see the page with my video clip. When turning
to that page, I see the video image for a split second and it then disappears. I have it set in InDesign,
so that it plays automatically when the page turns and I when you hover over it, the bar to pause or stop,
should appear. Online, I see none of that...just an empty square, where the video should be. It is
apparent that something is going wrong when viewing it online. Please help! I would like to show my client
on Monday. I really need to get this fixed. Thanks for your help.

Videos disappears from iPod!

I'm using a third party encoder for videos for my iPod, and I'm able to view them perfectly, the problem is:
When I update my videos (add/change/remove) on the iPod the ones that I didn't even touch will disappear and I'm only able to see them on iTunes, the new/edited ones show up correctly.
What am I doing wrong? Or what is the problem?

I've got the same thing. I've posted a message, but no one answered. After sometime, I've found a work-around solution. I've got a 3rd part software (Ipod2PC) to move the movies or/and Mp3's to the hard disk.
What I did is, I moved the movies back to my hard disk (Oh yah, you need free space!) then, delete the ones on my Ipod using iTunes, then upload them back to the Ipod!
I am like you, waiting for someone to give me a final easy solution for this problem.

Downloaded videos disappear

I downloaded the first season of Lost and had no problem downloading the first 10 episodes. After downloading the first 10, I quit iTunes. When I went back on to iTunes a few hours later, I clicked on Check For Purchases and the 11th episode started to download. However, after it was done downloading the episode completely disappeared. It did it to the next episode that was downloaded as well. I have continually clicked on "Check for Purchases", the episodes show up waiting to be downloaded, then after they are downloaded, they completely disappear from iTunes. This is very frustrating since I cannot get a hold of an apple specialist so I am hoping that someone can give me advice. Thank you.

Apple does not monitor your iPhone or iTunes library in that way at all. Information is only synced when the iPhone and computer are physically connected via the USB cable.
Was the iPhone in the dock or connected with the USB cable in between the time you put the movies on the iPhone?
Did you attempt to play the movies on the iPhone immediately after they were copied over? The movies might not have been copied over. iTunes would not copy the movies unless they were in a format supported by the iPhone. The first time a movie can't be copied to the iPhone or an iPod you will get a message, and have the option to never show that error again.

Many clips found on the internet and elswhere are encoded using multiplexing or muxing, and are not supported in iTunes, iPhone, iPod, or iMovie, but may playback via Quicktime.

Videos disappeared on iOS devices since Match!

I subscribed to Match yesterday, and although there are various hiccups (which I won't mention here) one thing is really confusing me, and that is the disappearing Music Videos.
I had around 50 music videos showing up perfectly in the Videos app on both iPhone and iPad. Since Match, not only have the videos gone from local storage (have to download from Cloud only) but some have disappeared completely.
As an example, I have the Lady Gaga album 'The Fame Monster Videos' in my iTunes library. It consists of 7 videos which all also resided on my iPhone and iPad. Now, only 1 appears at all - in the Videos app downloadable from iCloud - and the others don't appear anywhere at all. Gone!
Other videos appear in Music (under their original audio album), but most go to Videos.
What is going on here?

So, no-one can help with this. I really want to get my videos back onto my iPad and iPhone.
Here's an example of what happens in iTunes.
You can see the first 7 not going to the cloud, but the 8th does.
