HDCP Error AppleTV Can't watch Netflix

I need to know where is Apple showing a solution about the HDCP error in AppleTV's arround the world.
People are paying to get services like Netflix and this error besides being ridiculous, frankly is a huge frustration for users of Apple that certainly want THE BEST in these products (which are NOT cheap either).
I've changed my cable, followed all step of these discussions suggest and nothing. This error is still there and NO ONE IN APPLE OFFERS some kind of solution.
Please respond or something like that. People needs a solution soon.
"This content requires HDCP for playback. HDCP isn't supported by your HDMI connection."

If you mean you do not want it to go to sleep while you are watching, download an app called "caffeine".

You will need the appropriate AV cable for your iPad.

You can also use AirPlay to send the video to an Apple TV through your wireless network, although the Apple TV also has the Netflix app installed. Even then the Apple TV is a good addition to your home theatre for streaming other content off the iPad, iPhones, computer or video rentals for iTunes.

  • Using Time Capsule as wireless can't watch Netflix

I am using my Time Capsule as my home wireless router. It is located upstairs in a bedroom. I use Apple TV and an LG Blue-Ray player to watch Netflix. If the players are upstairs, they work perfectly.  If the players are downstairs, they pick up the home network and show 5 of 6 bar strength, but I can no longer access netflix or MLB.TV.  I have a 500GB Simultaneous dual-band Time Capsule.  Any thoughts? My modem is an ARRIS model WBM760

Is it possible for me to buy one of their recommended routers and connect my Time Capsule to it as a a simple wireless access point to send the wireless signal throughout my house?
Yes, if the Time Capsule will connect to the router using a wired Ethernet cable connection.

  • Can't watch netflix

Hi... I recently bought an iMac and all it's great, but a few days ago I tried to watch a movie over netflix, but the internet browser kind of stuck.
It just stopped working, when a I close the tab of netflix, the browser took like 30 seconds to open youtube!, so I quit Safari I open it again, the internet was fine, I even played 1080p videos and ran a speed test to see the internet speed, so all led to me to think that it's something wrong with the iMac or the internet browser, since I can watch netflix on my cellphone and my laptop.
I add an image of how it looks.

My Lion macmini suddenly stopped working with nextflix.  Movie doesn't play; screen is black until I click the bar which shows movie postion, but doesn't play.  I don't know what changed, removed it and reinstalled Silver lIght same, looked for aditional microsoft and light files in VAR files to delete, but nothing.  Well it's working again and I don't know why.  I was about to install Firefox and send this post but I tryed it one more time.

  • Can't watch Netflix on latest version of Nightly, says I need Silverlight but nothing changes when I install it. Help?

I'm trying to use Netflix on the latest version of Firefox's Nightly browser. It tells me I need to install Silverlight, so I did, but it just gives the same Silverlight message. When I go to reinstall Silverlight, it says Silverlight is already installed. When I go to Silverlights page on Nightly (http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx) it doesn't recognize that I have it installed. When I go there on Chrome, it tells me Silverlight 5 is successfully installed.
Any ideas? I really like Nightly and don't want to switch but it's annoying to open Chrome any time I want to watch Netflix.

I don't see Silverlight on your plugins list. Can you verify?
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category
If it's still missing after several install attempts, make sure you haven't disabled plugin scanning. This preference is set as follows:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''scan''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) If '''plugin.scan.plid.all''' is not set to true, double-click it to restore it to its default value of true.
You might need to exit and restart Firefox to trigger a fresh scan. Does that help?

  • Can't watch Netflix on 10.4.11 (iMac G5)?

I have an older Mac (I believe it's the G5), Mac OSX version 10.4.11. I want to be able to stream Netflix from the internet, but it says I need these minimum requirements:
    Mac
An Intel-based Mac with OS 10.4.11 or later
Safari 4 or higher; or Firefox 12 or higher; or the latest version of Chrome
    1 GB RAM
I tried downloading Google Chrome, because I figured that might fix the problem- but after it downloaded and the window popped up for me to drag it to Applications, the chrome symbol appeared with a "no-symbol" (circle with diagonal line) over it. I couldn't open it because it said it's not supported on this system. I'm not very tech-savvy so any help regarding watching Netflix on this computer would be greatly appreciated.

    An Intel-based Mac with......
That's the problem--Netflix streaming needs an Intel processor and your G5 processor predates Apple's use of Intel processors.
    I tried downloading Google Chrome,
Chrome also requires an Intel Mac.
A Mac with a G-series processor cannot be retrofitted with an Intel processor for a reasnable amount of money.

  • How can i watch Netflix on my MacBookAir

I am trying to watch netflix on my MacBookAir but am unsure on what app or whatever i should instal. there are three options in the app store when i search for "netflix" in the app store on my MacBook and i dot know which one to download, and as they are also only downloadable if you pay, which  is the main reason as to why i do not want to download any one of them for it to be the wrong one later on.
    thankyou

There is no app required. Use your browser to visit the URL  netflix.com, and all will be revealed.

  • Can't watch Netflix on new Macbook Pro and getting error message.

I recently got a new MacBook Pro and I am new to using Macs. I logged into Netflix and clicked on a movie but I get a message saying "An unknown error has occured". I tried setting up the device or whatever but where am I supposed to get the code? I tried the 6 numbers at the bottom of the site and nothing works. Am I supposed to download Silverlight for Netflix to work on this computer? As I've said before, I do not know anything about Macs and I am not computer savvy and I just need to know how to get Netflix going on this computer. I had searched on Google if Netflix could even be played on a Mac and it's my understanding that one is able to view Netflix on a Mac. Please help. Thanks.

Nevermind I got it working. Not sure if it's possible to delete this thread. Let me know if it is.

  • 12001 an unknown error occured - Can't watch movie

    Hi there,
I have rented the movie ''the devils advocate'' but after a while in the last part it was not possible anymore to watch the movie. In the beginning while downloading it stopped also at the last part. When I tried to fix it trough resume download button I get the messa ''unknown error occured 12001''.
Later on I tried to buy the movie and I bought the movie but again the same problem goes on. I tried everything but I can not view the last part of the movie and I never have that problem before.
Is it maybe the movie, maybe something else? I have updated my Itunes version to the last version as well.
    Anyone who can help?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards

    Hello Enes2014,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when renting and buying Devil's Advocate.  You have gone through some really good troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.  At this point, I recommend following the steps below to report this to the iTunes Store:

Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.

Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.

  • Can't watch Netflix after upgrading to Yosemite

I have a MacBook Air, with 4gb, and 2.3 gHz. After I upgraded to Yosemite Netflix stopped working. It gives me an error saying that the "external monitor" is not HD compliant. Have anyone encountered this problem? Have you found a solution?
    Thanks.

While I did not get your error message, I was also not able to view netflix after a Yosemite upgrade (mac mini late 2009).  Deleting and reinstalling silverlight fixed it for me.
    Good luck.

  • As of the Yosemite upgrade, I can't watch movies or tv shows using iTunes or Safari.

As of Yosemite upgrade, I can't watch any movies or tv shows using iTunes or Safari.  I have not previously had this problem before, and I have not changed anything with the monitor.  Here is what I get...  (This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP)  However, I can still watch Netflix using Firefox and Google Chrome browsers, but not with Safari.   (Using a Mini Mac with an LG Monitor Display)  Using HDMI to DVI Apple adapter.  I also tried a straight HDMI cable connection, which made no difference. My Apple TV plays just fine on this monitor.  LG Monitor Model #DM2350D

Never mind i guess. The iTunes parental controls changed randomly to restricted certain ratings even though i've never touched those in my life. fix your **** apple.

  • Hdcp error on i Mac?

I suddenly get a message of hdcp error when trying to watch films. There used to be no problem watching these films previously. What is the issue?

I also started getting this error this week.  I have a 27" iMac that's my home media server, and stream movies to my Apple TV, another iMac in the Kitchen, and to my iPad when exercising.
I was attempting to watch a new movie purchase a couple of days ago, and the Apple TV just gave me the spinning circle, but never started the movie.  So, I went to my Office 27" iMac to see what was wrong, and discovered I couldn't play it there, either on my external 27" Thunderbolt display, or on the built-in 27" display.  iTunes was giving me the HDCP error box on a gray space in the iTunes window.
I resolved the issue that evening by rebooting the Apple TV, which then allowed the movie to stream fine from the 27" Office iMac.  After watching the movie, later that evening I tried it again on the 27" iMac, and the movie was playing fine, without the HDCP error message.  Odd, but it was working.
I downloaded another movie last night, and tried to play it on the 27" Office iMac immediately, and again got the HDCP error.  This time I resolved it by going to the Kitchen 21" iMac and streaming the movie to there.  It played fine in the Kitchen, and after that test, it played fine again on the 27" Office iMac source computer.  Again, odd, but it's working again.
I contacted AppleCare while I was testing things this morning, and they suggested the Disk Utility/Repair Disk option, which I ran.  It didn't find any errors, but it's a painless thing to try, and with the SSD it went really fast.
I'm running the latest build of Yosemite (10.10.2/build 14C109) on my Macs, and iTunes 12.1.0.50 on my Macs.  I also ran the 10.10.2 Combo update this morning, just in case it's a corrupted driver issue.  I've found in the past that incremental/delta updates can lead to a build-up of damaged/corrupted files over time, so running the combo replaces everything that doesn't match the latest build.  Hopefully, today's combo update and permissions repair will resolve this issue for me for now.

  • Updated my Apple TV- Now dreaded HDCP error

Very disappointed right now...updated the software tonight to my Apple TV (its was working just fine for the past year) and now I get the HDCP error.  Now I can;t watch the MLB game, movies....what is wrong?  How do I fix it?...this is one of the reasons people don't cut the cable bill or satellite bill....my HDMI cord was working perfectly, then update says your HDMI cord needs to be updated...this is AWFUL. just AWFUL!!
Anybody else been able to solve this annoying issue?  ARE YOU LISTENING APPLE?
    Appreciate any help...
