HDCP pop up in iTunes now...

I just purchased my MacBook Pro not even 2 weeks ago, and I've downloaded some tv shows on iTunes in HD. I've been watching them fine. Today I went to finish an episode I had to leave and now I'm getting a This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). What could have changed or gone wrong since then?

Same thing is happening to me. I have several movies and tv shows that I have watched many times and now all of the sudden I am getting an error saying:
"This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection)."
Anybody have a clue what is going on? The only change I know I have made in the last few weeks is the recent update to iTunes.

*i've managed to download quicktime, but am still unable to download itunes. after reaching a certain point in downloading itunes, (about 1/3 of the way?) it stops at "copying files", and my computer freezes and i have to hold the power button in order to shut it off and do anything, or i get a popup asking me if i want to change something so itunes can finish downloading. i click "yes", but then the download stops completely and i get a message saying "itunes has finished downloading, but with errors" and it tells me to download it again.

but the fault module name changes on me. sometimes it's kernel32.dll, and sometimes it's something else, and i've already tried using task manager /find str but it doesn't help.

Can you turn off the annoying pop-up in iTunes when you hover over a song in your song list.
I don't need a stupid pop-up; this isn't a stupid Windows program. Now my iTunes is jumping around, things are popping up! *** APPLE! I wnat my old iTunes back!

Like whan you touch the black bar at the top of the screen with the time and the battery percentage and all that...the screen will scroll all the way back to the top. I'm wondering if there is a way to turn that off

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

hiya, i was wondering if there's any way to have a firewire external hdd to mac to get library to pop up in itunes as a seperate entity? because I want to centralise all my music to the external hdd, or will it do it all on it's own? (haven't tried it yet, just copying now as we speak) :d

i used to hold down alt whilst draging the movie into the menu at the left side of itunes now that menu is no longer there

the movie file now shows up in home videos within the movie folder so all my movies are in the movie file in itunes except the new ones now go into movie/home video itunes since i updated itunes
As implied above, if you do not use a metadata tagging utility and share or import your files directly to iTunes the new files are automatically tagged as "Home Videos" during the import process but you can still use iTunes to make them appear in the same directory as your other movies just as you always could chage their display directory. Simply...
1) select the "Movies/Home Videos" tab in the main window,
2) select any/all of the videos you want moved,
3) select the "File/Get Info" menu option (or press "Command-I") to open the "Information" window,
4) select the "Options" tab in the "Information" window
5) Select the "Movie" option in the "Video Kind" pop-up, and
6) Press the "OK" button to move all items selected in step #2 above to your "Movie" directory and close the "Information" window.
If you use a metadata tagging utility to add tags to your videos before import to iTunes, then pre-assign the "Movie" Media Kind tag to your files before import to iTunes. If you use a metadata tagging utility to tag files after import to iTunes, then manually set the "Movie" Media Kind option in that app and let it update the iTunes "Movie" directory. If the metadata tagging utility has not yet been updated to recognized files pre-assigned to the "Home Videos" directory, then manually tag the Media Kind in iTunes as described above before using the metadata tagging utility. Why Does My Iphone Keep Popping Up Other Itunes Account Users?

I have restored my iphone and backed it up from Icloud and now randomly my phone will pop up 4 itunes accounts stating to put their password ( like if you were going to download an app when it asks you to verify your password. I click cancel and it keeps going through all 4 of them until i keep clicking cancel and then it happens another 4 minutes later. Everytime i back up from icloud it does this. ) any solutions?

Ok, so I decided that I wanted a new game for my iPod Touch 32G 3rd Gen, 'Pocket Planes'. A free, no hassle download app. I discovered that I needed to update my iOS software on my iPod to install the game on the device.
Opening iTunes, I attempted to update, and got a message saying that iTunes would need to be updated to 10.6 to complete the software update. I accepted, and chose to update iTunes and Quicktime.
At the end of the download, Quicktime had installed, and I assumed iTunes had as well, because it asked me to restart the computer (yes to do it automatically, No to do it later on manually). I chose No because I was doing something online that had to be completed. Once I'd completed my online work, I restarted the computer.
Opening iTunes, I found it exactly the same as before, and I discovered that my iPod wouldn't connect to the library. I tried all four USB ports on my laptop, and two different cables, and I restarted the iPod. No luck.
A quick investigation led me to realise that Quicktime had installed, but iTunes had not. A bit of a browse online brought me to one conclusion - I would have to uninstall 10.5, and install 10.6. I thought 'Oh, easy enough'.
I had almost finished installing 10.6 and a dialog box popped up saying 'iTunes could not finish installing. Your system contains some errors, and has not been modified'. Something like that, anyway.
So I followed some tips from another thread. I 'changed' and 'repaired' Quicktime and ASU, and I used my system configuration tool. I'm still having no luck. What settings should I try on System Config to try and find the solution to my problem? Anyone had this before? Anyone able to help?

Did you actually download the installer from Apple or did you use Software Update. You can download the installer http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Maybe I'm old fashioned but I would consider repairing permissions first using Disk Utility because something caused this to go wrong the first time. And of course make a backup of your whole library first. It shouldn't happen but some have complained about their libraries being wiped out by iTunes updates. Better safe...

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
