HDMI audio drop

Hi,
Product Number: G9D72UA#ABL
For the past week I have been expeiriencing an audio signal drop.  The most notable symptom is that it occurs on a regular interval of 8 minutes!
I am using a wireless keyboard and the PC is used as a steaming device for my TV.  To reset the audio sound, from my remote keyboard I press "mute" button twice (off/on) and I am good for another 8 minutes?  I have tried the following:
1. Using the PC speakers for sound, bypassing the HDMI, the sound still drops
2. Eliminating the wirelss keyboard and using the laptop keyboard the sound still drops
3. Eliminating the TV and viewing on the laptop screen, and the sound still drops
I have also looked at the "Power Plan" to verify sleep settings are correct, they seem to be but I could be missing something here?

I have read your post on how the HDMI audio drops every 8 minutes on your notebook computer, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
'Since this issue is often caused by Windows thinking you are running an application that uses a microphone / telephony, it lowers the sounds for you. To disable this behaviour, please follow the steps below:
In the Start menu, search in the Settings category (Win+W) for "Change Sound Card Settings". 
In the Communications tab, change "When Windows detects communications activity" to Do nothing.'

If the issue continues, I recommend performing a backup and recovery of your notebook's operating system. This can be done by following this Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8), as well as Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8). This should help return your system back to factory defaults.
