HDMI audio is not working on my Satellite P50-A-14G

Hello, my pc is a SATELLITE P50-A-14G, and I'm writing this because when I conect the HDMI to my pc, the audio doesn't work. I've tried almost everything, but it doesn't seem to recognize the HDMI as sound player. Image is good, but sounds keep playing from the speakers of the laptop itself.
I've checked the playback tab on the sound config and it doesn't appear HDMI device to select.
I've also checked on the Device Manager and uninstalled the "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" wich was automatically updated once reset the laptop, but I didn't appreciated any changes at all. I have also checked if the HDMI output was in disabled, but it doesn't appear at all. I don't know what else to do! Help me, please!

Hi
Click with right mouse button and enable options “show disabled devices” and “show disconnected devices”.
Is HDMI device shown now?
If your notebook recognized TV the sound device must be detected too.
Do you use original preinstalled OS that you got with your notebook?

MacMini HDMI Audio Out Not Working

Greetings all,
I have a 2010 Mac Mini plugged into a Yamaha RX-V71 Receiver via HDMI. The receiver is plugged into a Samsung TV via HDMI. The image displays correctly onto the TV however the audio only plays through the Mac Mini's internal stereo. When I go to System Preferences -> Sound - > Output - my receiver is not listed. The only items listed are the Mac Mini and the Samsung TV. When I go to Applications -> Utilities -> Audio MIDI Setup the receiver is not listed only the Mac Mini and the Samsung TV.
I have swapped out HDMI cables. Mac Mini is updated to Lion 10.8.2. The receiver is on and I have tried restarting the TV, Mini and receiver multiple times in different orders.
Does anyone have any suggestions or a fix for this?

Have you tried selecting tv hdmi as your output device?
That is what I select to play through my receiver.

Hello Everyone. I have come to my wits end and I hope this is my final stop. I have had this issue for the past five months and cannot resolve the problem myself, and it actually got worse recently. I will only give you my main issues, but there are plenty of minor as well. I believe it all stems from the HDMI output to by Sony A/V receiver. I have some significant driver or codec or something conflicts. I use my computer as HTPC. It is a PVR (using NextPVR; recently migrated from WMC due to download guide issues). I also stream from internet (Netflix, YouTube, NFL GamePass, etc.). I have a Colossus HD capture card from my Sat box. I use component and S/PDIF. From there, I send it via HDMI to my SONY STR-DH800. The A/V pushes out on HDMI signal to my TV. Other inputs to my A/V are PlayStation, DVD, and Xbox. All components have Dolby 5.1 sound - except my computer. I can only get 2 Channel. Since the day I upgraded to Win 7 in March. The MAIN issue (other than never getting any surround sound from the HTPC) is when I exit NextPVR and use any other device (e.g., stream on Internet or even watch a Windows Media Center old TV program on Media Player) the playback is fine. But, when I return to NextPVR, the audio is gone and the video capture is unwatchable. This happens 100% of the time. My fix? Usually I uninstall all the drivers and codecs; 5-6 times in different orders until I get it back to functioning just for NextPVR. I have an very unstable system, as you can see. It does not function as a HTPC, just a PVR - such a waste of money and my time troubleshooting. I have posted and communicated on Windows, Hauppauge, Intel, and NextPVR forums. I talk to their support, but no one has solved my problem with this Lenovo. I even installed a different sound card (all that did was totally crash my system and it was unusable). If you use an HDMI cable, the audiostream will be integrated, so there will be sound when using an HDMI cable!
Not necessarily. That only works as stated if you have one of the most recent MBP's that has a built-in HDMI port.
If the MBP only has a Thunderbolt or miniDisplayPort, you need an appropriate adapter cable and even if you use an HDMI adapter or cable to connect to your HDTV there is no guarantee it will carry audio. You have to determine if your specific MBP model supports audio out through its miniDisplayPort or Thunderbolt output, and whether the adapter does likewise.

   My toshiba laptop's audio is not working. I tried downloading the driver online, rebooting the computer to its factory default setting, and looking for other solution online, but I can't seem to get the sound working. When I go to the device manager, the sound icon is not there even after downloading the driver and restarting the computer. I don't know what else to do. Please help. Thanks.

When I go to the device manager, the sound icon is not there
On the other hand, when the device is missing from Device Manager, it normally indicates a hardware malfunction.

This worked for me.
Hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command. Enter ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dashboard.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Log out/in
If it works, delete the .plist on your desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got them from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.4. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

Macbook Pro 2011 DVI HDMI out does not work with TV when the power cable is connected

My Macbook Pro (Early 2011) DVI HDMI out does not work with TV when the power cable is connected. If get the blue screen and then can use the macbook but nothing is displayed on the TV. If i go into display I can see that there are two screens but nothing displayed on the TV. If i take the power cable out at this point the TV shows the second desktop as expected. If i then reconnect the cable, the screen flickers, as though it is being affected by the power cable, and the screen goes blank on the TV. Only if i remove the DVI cable do i get the blue screen again. If i remove the power cable and reconnect it will do it every single time, so i cannot see it being a TV issue or a minor glitch.
I have had this working previously but at the minute it seems to not be playing ball....any thoughts

Realtek Audio is not working in Windows 8 x64 and 8.1 x64

I bought MSI x79 gd 65 mainboard with 4930K i7 and GTx780 1 week ago.
I downloaded windows 8 and latest bios, chipset and audio drivers: Audio didnt worked. Then i updated 8.1 still not worked.
I tried to dowload windows 7 its worked but not with 8.
Then i downloded 8.1 again and i started to try oldest versions like 2.72 - 2.71 they couldnt help too.
I saw in one forum i was saying "make your realtek driver, windows 7 compatible" I tried and not worked.
I saw another forum "close your nvidia audio" Not worked :(
I saw another forum " Download oldest bios" Not worked
Nearly i tried everything. I dont want to use windows 7. What can i do to fix that latest Realtek audio driver not working. Realtek manager can see my 2+1 sound system when i put the cable also when i test it sound bar moving but no sound. Please help me. I hope i can find solution in there.

Exact Problem : Audio stops working now, and then, intially reinstalling audio driver helped, but now, that trick is also not working!! I'm nither on mute, nor on low volume level!!
Laptop is brand new : And i'm using it from last 2 days only, so was installing everything for the first time.

Just got this Laptop and the audio is not working for videos

My operating system is Windows 8.1 with Bing. I just got this laptop computer for my college work and love it, but my audio does not work when I watch Videos. The laptop makes a weird tappign noise often. I need my audio to work for my course work online. The audio when I watch videos online either does not work at all or it breaks up as I am handling the laptop in the m hands. I have already did troubleshooting tests on the laptop and it can not find any problems but I know something is not right due to the noise and now my audio not working Please help me or tell me how HP can fix my laptop in a speedy mannor. It needs to go to the shop. That noise irritates me and I know that any kind of laptop pc is not suppose to make noises like that. The audio must work for my to complete my college homework and classwork online.

XPS 8700, audio is not working

I got this new desktop last month. From the beginning the audio is not working. When I tried installing the drivers from the dell site, I get this error. My system details are:
XPS 8700 (Mid 2013)

When I install this:

I get the error setup is unable to install.

The audio loaded correctly. Plug speakers or head phones (not wireless head phones) into the rear green audio jack. Then the red arrow should disappear under Sound- Playback Speakers.
The KM632 USB adapter should be unplugged, then plugged back into a USB port on the rear of the XPS 8700.
Do that and see if these change.

I noticed last night that my audio has stopped working, both input and output. After checking the system log, this is the message that is repeated numerous times:

Is the reason the audio is not working simply a matter of a missing file or do I need to completely reinstall the OS? I have a back up that I can quickly copy files from.

Try deleting this file: com.apple.audio.DeviceSettings.plist
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that .plist file from the Preferences folder to the trash, empty the trash and reboot. See if your audio works as it should. If not... might want to do an Archive and Install:

Audio is not working

I accidentally deleted IDT audio from the contol panel. Because of this, the audio is not working. Therefore, I tried downloading it again but my laptop responded with [error, declined, your computer does not reach the requirement ect]
Just to clarify I have a laptop windows 7 and I bought it for nearly 2 years now.
