HDMI does not work, service tech still waiting for parts.

Service tech can't get parts after 2 1/2 months to fix tv that i bought in Jan. 2012 it upsets me that this can't be resolved i spent 1400 dollars on a tv i can't use i would like to know who dropped the ball here?

Did Toshiba customer support refer you to that technician? You should be able to check the status by calling (800) 631-3811.

    If you weren't able to sync the purchases to a computer previously and now your iPod needs to be restored so you can't sync it now, then you may be out of luck and will need to purchase your content again. Officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications and iBooks. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
    You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.

    Try the following:
    1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
        Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete iPhoto's cache folder(s):
    Home/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
    and, if there is one, the
    Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
    3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
    NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:

    Yes. They'll still replace your iPod. Several users have indicated that they have returned damaged iPods and were still given a replacement iPod.

  • Hdmi does not work

    I am trying to hook up a logitech revue unit to my hitachi hdtv.  It requires an hdmi input.  When we first got fios, (qip 6200 p2 stb), no amount of fiddling with cables, settings and what not got hdmi to work.  After much frustration, etc. said to hell with it and went with component output.  Worked fine.  Now I need hdmi.  TV keeps saying "no video signal. "  Tried all three hdmi tv ports and tried all tv input option settings.  No go. It did come on intermittently , but only after an un-acceptable delay.  Yes!  I did disconnect the component outputs before trying the HDMI.  have rebooted  and resetted the world to no avail.  According to the various forums,    this Motorola hdmi fiasco has been ongoing for almost three years.  I want a fix, ASAP.  Or at least a reliable date for a fix.  BTW I am an EE+ computer science engineer.  I've tried the entire customer service 101 stuff so please don't tell me to change my cables.

    As I said in my posting, I am a professional.  I would not have bought the unit had I not seen the logitech listing of compatible STB.  Also, be assured that I have hooked it up correctly.  There does not appear to be any way to do it wrong.

    Try resetting your wireless router by unplugging the router from the power for about 30 seconds then plugging it back in.

  • Hdmi does not work since updating to jelly bean

    Since updating my at305-16 to JB hdmi will not work . I go into settings and select hdmi out but get no signal on tv.

    I think it might be a JB driver issue. I was having the same problem connecting it to my LCD, but when I switched to my plasma it works. The LCD is 1080P Auto the plasma is 720P auto. But fropping my LCD to 7120P didn't help. I don;t know if you have two TVs to try on, but it couldn't hurt.

  • Wireless Card does not work in Windows 8.1 for G585

    I just wanted to inform someone that the wireless network card does not work in Windows 8.1 Preview. I suspect the driver needs to be updated. When I go to the Device Manager it appears as a Realtek device RTL8192DE instead of a Qualcomm device that does not start. I tried installing the latest driver from the website but it makes the computer crash (BSOD) when trying to reboot after the installation which makes the Windows 8 automatic recovery turn on and I had to restore the system to a previous state before the driver installation.
    For now, I just refreshed my system back to Windows 8, instead of trying to use Windows 8.1 Preview .  If you have any suggestions, it would be great, otherwise I'll wait for a driver update.

  • Home Sharing does not work. It's time for Apple to act.

    My specific question: Does anyone from Apple read these discussions *and* use the information to fix iTunes?
    My issue (and I've given up on this): Home Sharing does not work and it needs to be fixed. I use a Windows 7 based PC and can successfully access my iTunes library from my iPad, meaning all network requirements are met. However many artists and albums do not appear. I know this is not about the tagging/data for the albums.
    I found recommendations in these forums regarding the iTunes database (.itl), that this is a sign that the database is corrupted, and how to re-create it from the xml version. I used this technique and it did fix the problem - all albums and artists appeared. But within a day or so, they disappear again, meaning the .itl file is corrupted again and has to be re-created again. Also - if the .itl file is corrupted, then why does everything appear fine in iTunes? Somewhere, somehow the data are good enough to make iTunes work properly.
    Bottom line: If you can't get the basics right, then Home Sharing does not work. Some very helpful forum commenters said it could have something to do with the anti-virus software, but that is just passing the buck.  I should not have to know how to do all this. I should be able to turn on Home Sharing and enjoy the music from my iPads, iPhone, etc. Imagine you have to know how fuel injection works and be able to fix it every two days just to use your car - you should be able to turn the key and drive.
    There are more problems - I won't even get into how the album won't display properly on the iPad and other annoyances.
    Apple? Are you listening? Home Sharing does not work. It is the opposite of the image projected of easy-to-use, people-friendly products.
    I suggest you either make it work or turn off the feature.

    If your database is constantly becoming corrupt, you have a problem on your computer, it is nothing to do with homesharing. The corrupt database does not affect iTunes because that uses another file. It's not passing the buck, by considering whether anti-virus software might be causing this, this is the sort of stuff anti-virus software does (although I'm not saying that's what it is in your case-I don't know at this stage), you can't hold Apple accountable for badly written software that you have put on your computer yourself.
    If you can't correctly identify what is causing your problem, you are never going to fix it.

    I bought the new HDMI x lighting adapter so I could play video downloaded to my Mini Ipad on my TV.  It does not switch over automatically to the TV although my new iPad Air does work fine with same adapter.  I have looked for a setting on the Mini that I may have missed but all is same as on iPad Air.  Does anyone have any suggestions? I have found similar questions on community but no firm answer as to the possible solution.

  • Menu Bar does not work in IE (still not resolved)

    I was long awaiting the 1.6 version of spry to get help with
    the menubar, but I'm still having the same problem. The submenu
    does not function correctly in Internet Explorer. I posted a month
    ago and still haven't received any feedback on how to correct this
    error. In IE, the submenus are not positioned correctly and are
    pushed 100 pixels or so above the menubar. Any help out there? Any
    recommendations if spry cannot deliver?

    I started seeking an answer to my horizontal menu query a few
    months back and didn't receive any answers that helped me out. I
    thought I might share an alternative solution that worked for me
    for any of you out there who might still be struggling with the
    menubar (I considered it the bane of August, September, and
    October).
    Rich0828 was right on! Don't get frustrated over the menubar
    because the Spry Squad is still working on all of the IE Hacks. I
    started looking for a free solution on google and everything I read
    about seemed to have a lot of problems with it. It became evident
    that paying someone to be my tech support would be worth it to me.
    I ended up choosing the Orange Menubar (you can change it any
    color) on

    through the Dreamweaver Exchange. I payed $30 for it and have been
    VERY happy. I even went out and celebrated to bury my IE qualms (at
    least for now). I like this menubar because, like the Spry menubar,
    its readable by search engines. I prefer this new design a lot more
    because it has a cleaner, sharper look to it. I also like that I
    can change the opacity of the menubar so that the glossy look of
    the buttons blend in better with my navigation menu.
    I did have a few questions for the tech support, and they
    responded within a few hours and everything was working.

  • Quantum TV - Skip Ahead does not work when program still recording or when time shifting

    I've always used skip ahead (set to 30 secs) to jump over commercials etc.  Since "upgrading" to Quantum, the skip ahead button does not always work.  I've narrowed the problem down to when the show you're watching is still airing (i.e. not  done recording).  The skip ahead function seems to work for a while until you reach a certain point in the program, then instead of skipping ahead, it jumps back to some earlier spot in the program.  When this problem occurs, this earlier spot is always the same spot.  To get around this bug you have to remember not to use the skip ahead button (easier said than done) or you're forced to fast forward back to the spot you  left off.  So once the problem starts you have to use the Fast Forward button to skip ahead.
    Is this a known issue?  Is a fix in the works?  Very frustrating indeed.
    Other gripes I have are  covered in other posts...such as the laggy remote controls.

    People have reported that the skip issue is fixed in the latest level of the Verizon code sent out on 9/11, and Verizon has also said it is fixed. Are you sure you still have the problem? If so, I suggest you check to see if you have the latest software:

    I have not experienced the skip problem on the new software level, but I have only done the skipping once on a program still recording so that is probably not a good test.
    I also do not really see any laggy response very often. Yes at times the box seems to just stop and take a deep breath or something for a couple of seconds, but overall the responses to commands from the remote have been getting better with each software upgrade (I have had 6 software upgrades I think since I got Quantum TV in early April). And I know Verizon has been working to improve the performance. Question: have you turned off the box and pulled the power plug for 15-20 seconds, then reconnected the power and let the box reinitialize? Some people have reported that doing that improves the remote performance (I have not had to do that).
    At this point I really do not have any issues with Quantum TV at all, but then again I have a pretty simple setup, no sound system for example, and I never use any Widgets or VOD, which some people complain about. I have my setup to watch TV, and record programs to watch later, the rest of the functionality is really of little or no interest to me.
