HDMI IN port on ENVY All-in-One Product 23se-d494

I just purchased this at Best Buy. It appears to have an HDMI IN port (not out), and the sales person assured me I could use it, for example, to connect a DVD player or XBox. I would like to use it to connect a 2nd computer and to switch between the two. However, I see no way to change the display to the HDMI IN port, and there is no documentation anywhere on this (or other) features of this hardware.
I'd be grateful for any assistance you can provide.

MathGuyTulsa, welcome to the forum.
Here is a guide that will help you connect a computer to your computer. I have always used a crossover cable to connect from a LAN port on one computer to a LAN port on the other computer. This works very well.

Connecting a second monitor to an Envy All-In-One

Please excuse my ignorance on this topic in advance.
I just purchased an HP Envy All-In-One. Model 23o014; Product F3E94AA#ABA. I'm running Windows 8.1. I'm very happy with my purchase so far.
I also purchased an AOC E2470Sw monitor and would like to connect this as a second monitor to the All-In-One.
The AOC monitor has a VGA(? - 15 pin connector) connection), but also has two HDMI inputs. I THOUGHT (with concurrence from my distracted salesman) that I could connect the two using the HDMI connectors on both machines, but I'm getting a blank screen on the AOC when I try it.
What am I doing wrong?

The HDMI connector on the base is an input,not an output. For a second monitor, you would need to go with a USB to video adapter.

Wireless printing problem with HP Envy all-in-one 110 when running Mac OS 10.7

I just bought the HP Envy all-in-one 110. I have a Macbook Air running IS 10.7. I managed to install the software correctly and the wirless network light is showing on the printer. I ran a test page from the printer and all the settings say they are "enabled." But I still can't get the printer to print over the wireless network. When I plugged in a USB cable, I managed to get it to print. I have a wireless router running over the Sonic.net DSL network. Network strength is good. I've switched off and restarted all equipment several times but still no results. Help!

I believe the router may not support Multicasting, a network protocol used for Apple's Bonjour service to operate as it should.
Will be helpful to know the exact router brand and model.
As a workaroung, you may try setting the printer by using standard IP, it should allow you to print, however the router issue (more likely) have to be handled first to allow the full software functionality including scanning.
Follow the steps below to set an IP print queue, it will also help to better understand the cause for the problem:
Enter System Preferences > Print & Scan.
Click the plus sign.
Click the IP icon.
Select the HP Jetdirect Socket protocol.
Enter the printer IP address into the Address field
Now try printing using the newly created print queue, listed as the printer IP address.

HP - 23" Touch-Screen TouchSmart All-In-One Computer - 8GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive ? I used a HDMI to HDMI cable and the monitor was not recognized.

Here are the specs for your HP TouchSmart 520-1070 Desktop Computer. As previously stated your computer Doesn't have a HDMI output, instead it has a HDMI input. This is designed to let you connect a game console, a DVD/Bluray player, etc. to use as a monitor.
If you wish to conect a second monitor to your computer, you will need to use a USB-to-video adapter such as the EVGA UV Plus+ UV39 or EVGA UV Plus+ UV19. Using an adapter like these with the touch feature of your computer may cause issues with pointer control and you may need to disable the touch feature to use "extended desktop".

HP Envy All-in-One Missing Parts

My fiance just bought me the HP Envy all-in-one desktop computer. He was going to set it up for me yesterday and noticed it's missing the dongle for the wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. Has anyone else had this issue after purchasing this product?
We got it from our local Best Buy store and it was in a sealed box so we know it wasn't a returned product. Our store only has 1 left at least from what we saw on the shelves and hope they can fix our issue today.

Dongle is a small USB part and found near the keyboard or mouse box. Sometimes inside the keyboard and mouse (In a dongle housing, you would find a pocket/socket where it can be stored.)
Refer documentation to locate the dongle or call HP.

New Envy All in One won't let me use my email address to email scans

Hi, I have just purchased 2 HP Envy 7640 e All in One Series machines.
Setting up the Scan to email option I have to insert my own email address for it to send me a pin number (and to put on emails it sends out - I think ??) my email is: [email protected] I get a message saying "enter a valid email address" I have had this on only a very few sites in the past and believe it is because the domain is numbers only.
has anyone any suggestions?

I understand you are looking to setup Scan to Email on the ENVY 7640, but the Email you are trying to use is not being accepted.
More than likely the issue is being caused by the Email domain you are trying to enter. Do you have another email with a more common domain to try? For example, Gmail, MSN, etc.

New hp envy all in one printer shows a blank page after scanning

I just went through this problem with my old printer and hp sent me a refurbished (new) one. I go to scan something into my computer and it won't scan. It shows a blank page on preview. I checked the settings and they all seem to be right. I am not wanting to spend 3 hours with support and another 3 weeks to get a new printer. Can you help me?

Please check the copying function. Is that blank.
If the printer is copying blank there could be something else wrong with the Envy 120
We have had reports of pages being placed upside down.
The Envy 120 scans with the original facing up.

HP 4500 Envy all in one printer

My printer used to scan documents, no problem. I have the printer up to be wireless. Now it is scanning only a portion, like the logo or the document in several portions. I have uninstalled the software and reinstalled. I have updated the software from the HP website. Have made sure the settings say scan whole document. It prints and copies fine, just have issues with the scan.

Where do I insert a memory card on hp envy in order to print a photo?

HP Cartridge Protection is a feature meant to avoid couterthief.
A Protected Cartridge is a USED cartridge which been protected by its previous owner.
Once a Cartridge being protected by a user from the HP software, the cartridge can only be used the specific printer, it cannot be used on any other printer.
You will need to replace the protected cartridge in order to resolve the problem, its protection cannot be disabled.

Screen won't wake up after long sleep. HP Envy All-in-one, no touch screen, windows 8

If asleep for a short time (+ or - 30 mins), it wakes up. For a longer time, the computer comes alive, but the screen stays dark blue. If I wait two minutes and then move the mouse or space bar, the screen comes up.
I worked through the on line help, changed several settings, but it did not help.
