  • Is there any Vga adaptor for the Ipad 2 that is VIDEO IN rather than OUT?

Is there any Vga adaptor for the Ipad 2 that is VIDEO IN rather than VIDEO OUT? is for a student with visual impairment who needs to view the classroom digital board content from a very short distance, like the distance to an Ipad for example, so the Ipad would be ideal as an interactive monitor with typography and content easy to amplify.
At the moment, this student has a traditional flat screen monitor taking over the table next to him, so no other child can seat in it, and he has no opportunity to befriend and sporadically joke with anybody else. So much for "inclusion".

I downloaded it and it keeps telling me "No Scanner Detected." I looked on their website under supported scanners, found my Microtek ScanMaker 3600 and it says "NO" for Mac.

I just sent an email to them asking if VueScan does support a my scanner. I hope it does. I have been searching but am not proficient or know enough of what to look for. I just don't want to have to buy another scanner.

  • Having problems with my VGA adaptor for iPad.

I bought the VGA adaptor for iPad from BB the other day, and when it arrived, I could not get it to work with my iPad (iPad 1 with latest OS). I tried adjusting settings on my monitor (I'm using it with my second computer monitor, a 24" AOC brand), but I could not get anything to display. I tried plugging it into my new iPhone 4S, and it worked flawlessly with every application. I then tried using it with my new iPod Touch, with latest OS installed, and it would not do anything either. So I have this adaptor for iPad, and it works with my iPhone 4S, but not my iPad or iPod Touch. Does anyone out there have any answers or suggestions?
    Thank you for your time...

    JCinINDY-
The iPad 1 only sends video to the adapter when a slideshow or a video is playing.  You can not see the normal iPad 1 display on a VGA screen.  It does not support "mirroring" the way an iPhone 4S will.
That said, it is possible you have a bad connector on the iPad 1.  If you can take it to an Apple Store Genius, they should be able to verify whether or not it is working correctly.

  • Which VGA adaptor for my Intel Core 2 Duo iMac?

Hi folks... new to this forum. I'm looking to hook up my 20" iMac to a 2nd monitor (it’s a 20” Samsung VGA).
I’m very confused... So far, I've bought 2 different adaptors (neither of which fit the iMac):
Apple Mini DVI to VGA Adapter (which is listed as ”suitable for iMac Intel Core Duo”)
    http://store.apple.com/ie/product/M9320G/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=MjE0NTg3Ng
Apple Mini VGA to VGA adaptor (which is listed as "suitable for iMac flat screen")
    http://store.apple.com/ie/product/M8639G/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=MjE0NTg4Mg
Can anybody enlighten me which adaptor I need?... my iMac is a 20” iMac Core 2 Duo & I bought it new in April 2008.
    Thanks!

Perhaps is was packaged or repackaged incorrectly, because that is the correct adapter part # for the Intel iMac's including the Early 2008 model.

Does the T410s not have a VGA port built right in?  I know my T510 does and I'm almost certain the regular (non-"s") T410 has one.

I have an old iMac Power Mac G5 8.2.  I need a VGA adapter for display port so we can use it in our TV studio in my elementary school.  What kind do I need to get?

    2nd Max. Resolution:
    1024x768*
    Details:
Apple reports that this system has a "VGA output port for video mirroring on an external display or projector", and supports output resolutions of "640 x 480 pixels at 60Hz, 800 x 600 pixels at 75Hz and 1024 x 768 pixels at 75Hz". However, the hardware is capable of using an external display in dual or "extended desktop mode", Apple just blocked the capability in firmware to protect sales of more expensive Macs. • Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adaptor for my iMac app?

I installed my Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter to my iMac and connected it to a ViewSonic Pro 8500 DCP projector and was unable to get the image on my iMac projected on to the screen.  Do I need an app for this and if so how do I obtain one?

No. No 'app' is required. Check the display resolution you have set. It's likely the Mac is not able to detect the max resolution of the projector you've connected it to. You may have to set the display resolution manually.

  • Using DVI to VGA adaptor with HDMI to DVI port on Mac Mini Server

Hi - I couldnt find anything on this, so I decided to post a new topic. We just recently purchased a Mac Mini server at work for iOS development. Before we launch in in one of our data centers and start remoting into the system, we need to conduct basic setup on the system.
For this, we pulled out an old stock VGA montior we have around the office, and found an apple DVI to VGA adaptor (http://i51.tinypic.com/2mzb4lc.jpg)
The problem is, the pins dont exactly line up... on the DVI to VGA adaptor there are 2 extra pins above and below the horzontial pin on the left hand side (http://i52.tinypic.com/2mxhg1j.jpg) that do no exist on the Mac Mini HDMI to DVI adaptor (http://i53.tinypic.com/2ywesrp.jpg).
Ive checked other converters and it seems that all of them are setup the same way, with two pins above and below.
Has anyone else had to deal with this issue? I really dont want to go and buy the Mini DisplayPort to VGA adaptor for one-time use.
    Thank you!

    Welcome to  Discussions!
What you are seeing is the difference between an analog and digital DVI connector, as DVI as a specification can provide both types of signal, depending on implementation. When used in a mode where only one or the other type of signal is provided, the different connectors prevent a mismatch. VGA being analog, the DVI to VGA adapter is using an analog DVI connector. The other connector you are dealing with is a digital only connector. HDMI is digital only, hence the HDMI to DVI adapter being digital only. Thus you can not adapt from the HDMI port to VGA with just passive adapters, you would need a conversion device between. It would be cheaper and more effective to use a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter.

  • Yoga 13 HDMI connection to VGA or DVI cable

Hi, does anyone know what kind of cable can support connecting the Ideapad Yoga 13's HDMI port to an external monitor with either a VGA or DVI connection? Maybe provide a link to Amazon to a page with a cable that supports this? Does it need anything more than the cable itself like a converter or something? Thanks.
    Solved!

    hi ScoobyDoo,
    Welcome to Lenovo Forums!
That is going to be a Digital from the yoga to an analog VGA/DVI.
this kind of conversion does not require a transcoder. so you can go ahead with Cable Coverters only.
Here are some you might want to check:
StarTech 6ft HDMI to DVI-D Video Cable M/M
    HDMI to VGA Adapter
Black HDMI Input to VGA Adapter Converter For PC Laptop
You can check this out on how to switch the display.
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/multiple-monitors#1TC=t1
Audio transfer will not work with this kind of conversion Normal HDMI out to HDMI in will transfer both Audio and Video to a TV.
    Hope this helps,
     Cheers!!

The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 model 6,1 and Mid 2010 model 7,1 White Unibody have a Mini DisplayPort. The Early 2006 model 1,1 through Early 2008 model 4,1s plus the Early and Mid 2009 model 5,2s have Mini-DVI ports.

  • Can I use the mini displayport to vga adaptor with the xbox vga cable to connect my xbox 360 to my macbook pro?

I'm trying to find a way to connect my xbox 360 to my mackbook pro. I've searched the internet and found that I can use a eagle eye device but, its to expensive. So after looking at the xbox website, I found a vga adaptor for my xbox and an vga to mini displayport and I was wondering if this would work.

The minidisplay port is output only. It's not going to show anything from your xbox.

    Hi Guys,
just bought a VGA adaptor for my new 20" aluminum imac, turns out it doesn't fit and is for the older models. can someone please just post me a link to the right one in the apple store or give me the model number of the one i want please?

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
The earlier iMacs had MiniVGA ports rather than MiniDVI ports. You can use any of the following:
    Mini DVI - DVI
    Mini DVI - VGA
    Mini DVI - Composite/S-Video.

  • HDMI Video input upgrade for HP Pavilion Elite m9060n Media-Center PC...What is simplest route?

The Media Centre came with TV tuner etc; I have upgraded the Graphics card to Nvidia GeForce 450GTS which has two HDMI outputs. I need an HDMI input to get the best signal input from my cable box...the best input the existing TV tuner offers is "S-Video",which ain't exactly high-grade. What is the simplest solution for a tech-challenged individual like me? (I don't really need "tuning" facility...but require some form of input. If you help a media-moron the gods will bless you.

You cannot run an HDMI out from a cable-box to a PC Tv-Tuner card in port. THe main reason is industry standard copy protection and HDCP. Unfortunately, you have an NTSC only tuner - so the answer is no HD from cable...only ATSC from an aerial antenna. If you install a QAM tuner, you can run the coax directly in and get unprotected HD programming.

how do I connect to a TV with a HDMI input? Can I use a USB graphics adapter?

Here are the specs for your HP Pavilion All-In-One MS235 Desktop Computer. Based on the specs, your computer doesn't appear to have a video output of any kind. A USB-to-video adapter such as the EVGA UV Plus+ UV39 will be required to connect your HDTV to your computer.
